‘Āisha, the Mother of the Believers, (May Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah's Messenger (PBUH) (in his last days) used to pray sitting. He would recite while sitting, and when thirty or forty verses remained from the recitation he would get up and recite them while standing and then he would bow and prostrate. He used to do the same in the second rakʽa. After finishing the Prayer he used to look at me and if I was awake he would talk to me and if I was asleep, he would lie down. (Sahih al-Bukhari)

How to be more present in prayer:

1. Imagine your worries being washed away as you make wudu...

2. Eliminate distractions (e.g. silence your phone)

3. Take a few moments to collect your thoughts & focus on your intention.

4. Remember that you are standing in front of Allah.

5. Concentrate on the meaning of what you are saying.

6. Remember that this could be your last prayer.

Powerful Hadeeth!

Anas ibn Malik reported: A man said, “O Messenger of Allah, should I tie my camel and trust in Allah, or should I leave her untied and trust in Allah?”

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Tie her and trust in Allah.”

🤔 The government granted my divorced mother a pension and a bonus because of the martyrdom of my brother, though she did not raise him and left him since he was young. Is it permissible for her to take the bonus and the pension?
✅ The answer: What the government has given to the mother of the questioner is a legal right for her, as long as the country has granted this money to the mother of the recruiter who was martyred during the performance of the military service, to please her, and as a compensation for breaking her heart by her son’s death. This gift does not concern the questioner or anyone else as the questioner is not a guardian of his mother or of the country.
In this concern, it is better for the questioner to meet his mother’s negligence towards him with kindness, and he should know that dutifulness to parents in general and the mother in particular is not an equivalent to her upbringing and service, but rather is a command directed by Allah Almighty as a matter of obligation, and He coupled it with His monotheism.
