TOPIC: WHEN YOU ARE THE JOSEPH (PART 2)

TEXT: "And he left all that he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew not ought he had, save the bread which he did eat. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favoured." Genesis 39:6

Child of God, every great destiny in God has a how to get there. You cannot be the Joseph sent to preserve a generation and emulate the lifestyle of others. Every child of God has been empowered to live a righteous life, why chose to yield your members again to unrighteousness? Why fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness and think you will not become the same? Your association determines your acceleration. God has a special assignment on you that will glorify His name, and the devil is after that assignment which is his doom, so stand up to who you ought to be.
Having escaped the dangers of his father's house, one would think the attempt of the adversary against Joseph would cease. But no, because his target is against the destiny of Joseph, against his assignment, still in Potiphar's house, he rose up through Mrs. Potiphar against Joseph to bring him down through immorality. The enemy must have looked through all Joseph's profile in Potiphar's house. The master had committed all he had into his hands, the only thing which the master did not put under his care because she is his wife was what the devil entered to use against him to bring him down. If he had gone along with her, he would have remained a gloried servant in Potiphar's house and lose his destiny. But as the Joseph he ought to be, he said unto her, "...how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" Gen. 39:9. Though it cost him leaving Potiphar's house and landed him in prison, but he got to the palace and became this destiny. The reason you fall for anything is because you do not know your destiny.

TOPIC: STAND FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS (PART 2)

TEXT: "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." Proverbs 14:34

Every act of compromise against one's faith will eventually stop a child of God from accessing his throne. At first, it may seem as if it pays and many may see it as the popular way to advancement because of the immediate physical returns they see on such a person. But be not deceived, if is not God, it is not good because the end is destruction. See what David said in Psalms 73, "Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked... When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; Until I was into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end." (vs 1-3 & 16-17).
The day Achan was judged was not the very day he started stealing. He must have been disobeying the commandments of God, defrauding his neighbour, collecting items that were not his, enriching himself at the detriment of others. Then other Israelites would have been envying him, even condemning themselves for not making it so soon. Some may even have emulate his lifestyle since it has 'quick returns'. But when the day of judgment came, his end was disgraceful. He and his entire household were stoned to death. Josh. 7:24-25. Achan would have taken a stand for righteousness by taking none of the accursed things from Jericho as God commanded, but he allow his greed for materialism lure him, and he terminated his life and those of his household untimely. Taking a stand for righteousness shunning all acts of iniquity makes your end very sure. Psa. 37:37. Make up your mind today to stand for righteousness.

TOPIC: STAND FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS

TEXT: "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." Proverbs 14:34

Any stand you take for righteousness gives you a pass Mark on the ladder of progress which is the only progress that stands the test of time and also leads to eternal life. Every act of sin or compromise of your faith will eventually lead to reproach, no matter how initially interpreted. It is only righteousness that exalts, so make up your mind to stand for righteousness in your words and actions. Do not play neutral because it is worse off. God says, "So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth." Rev. 3:16.
Every act of righteousness has its time of reward so don't compromise your stand because of immediate gratification and pleasures of sin which entices people. That is why Proverbs 1:10 counsels, "My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not." What that enticement seeks from you is far more than what it presents to you. It is spiritual blindness and acute insentivity in the things of the Spirit that makes a man gives up a mansion for temporary shelter under the bridge to avoid rain. This was exactly what Esau did when he despised his birthright for red pottage.
To stand for righteousness, you must be ready to undergo temporary discomfort or affliction because the world will kick against it using everything at its disposal to make you shift your stand. It may call you names, deny you promotion in that office, make men conspire and lie against you. It can put you in prison like Joseph went through, make you run from the throne and comfort of Egypt to the bush as Moses did. It may make you reject delicacies as Daniel and his friends did. But hear me, it is for a moment and nothing compared to the glory that will be revealed in your life. So stand!

TOPIC: WHO IS YOUR PASTOR? (PART 4)

TEXT: "And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding." Jeremiah 3:15

The essence of my message is to drive you to loving God. High flyers in the kingdom are God lovers. You cannot love God and not delight in His service. You cannot love God and not delight in pleasing Him. You cannot love God and not pursue after righteousness hating iniquity. You cannot love God and not express your love in giving that which pleases Him.
A lover of God keeps God's command. Jesus speaking in John 14:15 says, "If ye love me, keep my commandments." And in verse 10, He says, "If ye keep my commandments." ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love". To abide is to dwell. You cannot dwell, or live in the love of God and become a victim of satanic onslaught. You cannot abide in His love, and lack His presence and presents which are products of His presence. No wonder Jesus stated in John 8:29, "And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him."
If there is one thing I know which is driving me on, it is loving God. When you love Him, you don't seem to have enough of Him and He keeps revealing Himself to you. You long for fellowship, you greatly delight in His commandment. You are encouraged and comforted in Him quickened on every side by the Holy Ghost. You seek His kingdom and His righteousness and He takes cares of your needs. While others pursue gold and never seem to have it, you pursue God because you love Him and He the owner of the gold, makes it pursue you even in measures that amazes you. Because you love Him, His love defends and protects you and all your interest. His love makes you a living wonder. If you can love God and pursue after Him, I am proud to say, I am your pastor.

TOPIC: WHO IS YOUR PASTOR? (PART 2)

TEXT: "An I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding." Jeremiah 3:15

Still on the topic, 'Who Is Your Pastor?' If you look critically at Joshua chapter 1 verse 1-9, when God was commissioning Joshua after the death of Moses, He told him a number of things in verse 2-7 such as every place where the sole of his foot shall tread upon, He would give it to him. Also no man shall be also to stand before him all the days of his life, that He would be with him as He was with Moses, that he should be strong and of good courage. Then in verse 8, He specifically noted the book of the law which was before them as the secret to achieving every other thing He had told him.
Child of God, just as God instructed Moses, so He did to whoever wants to become the promises of God. To pursue the promises neglecting the principles is to end up disappointed. The word of God is the will of God, therein lies your inheritance and therein lies the procedure and the power to get them. If you can give attention to God's word, you do not struggle for your inheritance but possesses them on the platform of knowledge. No wonder scripture says, "Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all." Gal. 4:1. What an error under the sun! "Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place ... servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth." Eccl. 10:6-7.
True freedom is on the platform of knowledge, the knowledge of the truth which is the word of God. John 8:32. Acts 20 verse 32, therefore says, "And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."
The revival is here. Get into the word and dig for yourself. I ask again, If you don't love the word of God, who is your pastor?
