ASK FOR WISDOM

Bible Text: James 1: 5-8
Memory Verse: “If any of lacks wisdom, you should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5, NIV
The Wisdom of God is superior and higher than that of this world and He gives it generously to those who genuinely desire it. This kind of wisdom is impacted by the Holy Spirit. It is supernatural in nature because it comes from above only. Its effect is noticeable and durable because it is peaceful, unselfish, spiritual, and full of good fruit. In proverbs 3:13-18, King Solomon said God’s wisdom is profitable than riches.
In today’s text, we are encouraged to embrace Godly wisdom instead of pursuing riches. God’s wisdom will give you access to the top. Solomon also remarked that when this wisdom dwells in you, it brings you pleasantness and prolong your days.
You can have access to this wisdom today. Apart from asking, you must allow the fear of God to rule your heart (Psalm 111:10). You must also develop an undying passion for God’s Word (Psalm 119:130). This is because the Word of God gives clear direction on every issue of life. So, when you take time to meditate on God’s Word you are indirectly opening your heart to be influenced by God’s Wisdom. Be determined to embrace this instruction today and see yourself triumph in the affairs of life through God’s wisdom.
Insight: Wisdom is the principal thing, go for it!
Prayer: God, grant me access to Your Wisdom!
