*Beloved Brethren,*
I call you “brethren” not as a formality, nor out of a desire to sound sanctimonious—but because that word truly reflects the bond we share: one forged in love, unity of spirit, and unshakable kingdom convictions.
Last Saturday, my father’s earthly remains were laid to rest. As the dust settled and memories rushed in like tides, I found strength in the unwavering support, kindness, and warmth each of you extended to me. In those moments of grief, I saw clearly: *there is indeed a friendship that sticks closer than a brother.*
From heartfelt messages to physical presence… from generous tokens to spiritual covering, you stood with me. And for that, I’m deeply, sincerely grateful.
*Special mention from the depths of my heart:*
- * Precious* – For leading the contributions with compassion and grace, and for being present at the interment. Thank you for standing in both spirit and body.
- * Rebecca* – For checking in consistently with calls that carried more than words—they carried healing and strength.
- * BWT* – For driving the team that came all the way from Lagos to Ogun when the news first broke. Your gesture was more than travel; it was love in motion.
- * Olusol* – We’ve journeyed together through seasons. I cherish the memories, the testimonies, and the becoming we’re still walking out in faith.
- * BWT* and *-Essien* – Thank you for showing up at the funeral service. Your presence was a balm in the heaviness of the moment.
To every other hand that gave, every voice that prayed, and every heart that stood in solidarity—I love you deeply. I may never be able to repay you all, but I pray Heaven will return to you a hundredfold what you’ve poured out.
With love in Christ,
Your brother,
*David Aworele*
