Spirit-Conscious
.. I pray God your whole spirit and soul
and body be preserved blameless....
—1 Thessalonians 5:23

In this scriptural passage, Paul begins with the inside,
the innermost part of man, the heart of his being, which is
his spirit, and comes to the outside.
Yet most people misquote this verse. They say, body,
soul, and spirit. Why do they put the body first? Because
they are more body-conscious than spirit-conscious.
Natural things mean more to them than spiritual things. So
they put physical things first.
Sometimes we are more mental-conscious because we
live more in the mental realm.
But man is a spirit being. We need to be spirit￾conscious. Spiritual things will become more real to us the
more spirit-conscious we become.
If we are going to be led by the Spirit of God, we must
become more spirit-conscious, or we'll miss out on the
whole thing. God's Spirit leads us through our spirits.
Put spirit first. Become more spirit-conscious, more
conscious of the inward man. Realize that you are a spirit
being and that you became a new creation created by God
in Christ Jesus. It will help you grow—spiritually.
Many years ago I began to think like this, and at first I
would say it to myself out loud: I am a spirit being. I have
a soul. And I live in a body.
Saying that helped me become more spirit-conscious. It
helped my faith, because faith is of the spirit, or the heart.

Thank you for joining FSTSF page. This is a forum where we get ourselves informed on special programs and also weekly program every Friday at TCHS 1 in the department. It's a place where the word of God is thought and different spiritual activities are carried out.
Time - 12pm. It's just an hour with God.

You can share word of insight, inspiration etc which brings transformation to people on this page.

Leviticus 6:13 : A continual fire must be kept burning on the altar. It must not be extinguished!

In my experience, one of the most important and crucial factor of A believer's walk with God is Consistency, this is where the Men are separated from the Boys. As much as Loving God, Studying his word and Praying is important, Inconsistency in these things can cripple our Spiritual growth and experience. Im sure Paul knew this so when talking about Prayer in his letters made sure he mentioned consistency.
It shouldn't be that we only Pray or study when in church or once in a while, that is lukewarmness which The Bible expressly spoke against.
If as a believer you can't use 1 hour in a day (24 hours!) to fellowship with God, something is really wrong with you and you need to set your priorities right, what exactly are you doing with your time!.
Please sit down and make a convenient time when you can commune with God, waking up an hour earlier wont kill you ( doesn't have to be in the morning tho), and even if sometimes you didnt follow through the plan, dont give up, Try again!, with time you would grow. Consistency takes a lot of discipline, be Disciplined!.
So dust and sweep your Altar today, its been too Cold and full of dirt for too long!
There is Power in Doing the same thing over and over again!.

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

You cannot keep fulfilling the desires of the flesh claiming Christ accepts your true self, so the Woman suddenly says she is attracted to Fellow Women, or the Man decides he should be a Woman, or even enjoying the Addiction rather than resist it... things the Bible clearly says are Blatant Rebellion to God!... all claiming "God is cool with it". Christ "doesnt" Accept your true self... He came to Save you from your TRUE SELF!

HIGHER EVERYDAY THURSDAY, JANUARY 12, 2017

TOPIC: PRAISE AND PRAY

Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees

Hebrews 12:12

Weak hands and feeble knees! That depicts a picture of helplessness, powerlessness and weakness. It is the picture of one who is weighed down by the burdens of affliction, suffering and challenges of life. If you live long enough on earth, you may come to that point one day. You may reach a point where the hands become limp and hang low and the knees become feeble and unable to carry your weight. Here are two recommendations for you at such a time like this Prayer and praise. They are two mighty weapons to employ at the time of weakness and vulnerability. When your own strength cannot sustain you, look unto the Rock of Ages. When Jehoshaphat was overwhelmed by the threat of invading superior armies, he resorted to the weapons of prayer and praise. And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD ambushed the invaders which were come against Judah; and they were smitten (2 Chronicles 20:22). You can lift up holy hands and praise God now!

Challenge: God is a present help in the hour of need.

Prayer: Lord, I depend on you in the hour of weakness.

You see friends, God took away your sins but left your 'Brain' for you for a reason, its so that you can think, lol. When you study the Bible, always read the Pre-text and the Post-text to understand the text. Believers usually say " if the bible says it, I believe it" ...Yes I know, but calm down and understand first what the Bible is saying. Just like you cant read a sentence of your academic books and jump to conclusion.

Acts 8:30:- “....Do you understand what you are reading?”

Dont be carnal when you Study, the word of God cant be perceived naturally, always rely on the holy spirit for understanding.
