Discover 3 unperceived benefits you can get only in Christ.
I used to think that the only gain we have in Christ is making heaven, and heaven is not what I can relate with now. So I thought I did not need him. It doesn't even feel like I will die anytime soon, because I see people older than me living. I was thinking that if they could grow old, I could too. So having Christ in my life makes no sense, since I'm not going to heaven anytime soon. Then I concluded that I will enjoy my life till I am old, and come back to get saved after. But with time I realized that even that enjoyment is impossible without Christ. Life has pain, sorrow and suffering to offer. The joy in it isn't real. It's happiness fades away. Christ isn't about just making heaven, he is not just meant to give you money, or good health, etc. Jesus has more to offer you than you might have ever thought of. Let's get started.
• Peace of mind. (John 14:27, Romans 5:1): Have you ever wondered how crazy the apostles looked when they were singing in prison? Have you wondered how Joseph was able to notice that some people are moody even in prison? How was Shadrach Meshach and Abednego so relaxed in front of the fire? This and a lot more are just impossible outside God. Real peace is in Christ. Whether you choose to accept his rest or not, everybody will face challenges. But what makes the difference is the peace we have in Christ even in the storm of life. Christ says, "come and I will give you rest". Come and find rest in the storm of life.
• An authentic relationship. (Matthew 10:39). The world is so messed up that nothing is real again, not even relationships. People keep getting hurt and broken in relationships. I'm not talking about dating alone, but any form of relationship. We all need a place to call home. We need people who can stand by us and always be around us. We need people we can trust to tell the deep things about us. Of course we are not meant to live in isolation. Relationships in the world kill. Isolation even kills faster. Christ through His church will help you find people you can call your family. I don't mean you will find perfect people, but real people. You will learn how to live peacefully with all men and have a place that really feels like home. A place you can always run to. • Acceptance : There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. We live in a world that is ready to judge us at every slight mistake we make. Personally, I spent a reasonable part of my life looking for somebody to accept me . I really needed somebody who could feel my pain and not just condemn me. Little did I know that humans naturally don't have the ability to do this. We need divine help. Maybe you have been looking in the wrong places for a solution. Only in Christ will you be accepted just as you are. If Paul, a murderer could be accepted, then why can't you be accepted? He will not only accept you and forgive you, he will also make you better. Do you think this is the best you could be? No. There is more within you.
