Celebrating Ogun State @ 50: Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria Holds Special Event

Today, 3rd February 2026, Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria (Ahmadiyya Missionary Training College), Ilaro, joined Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun - MFR and the good people of Ogun State in marking a golden milestone, 50 years of existence.

Guided by the well-known saying of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa), “Love of one’s country is part of faith,” the gathering reflected a sincere sense of belonging and appreciation for the land that has nurtured growth and harmony.
Though Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria hosts students drawn from across the length and breadth of Nigeria, the occasion beautifully demonstrated we alike came together, as one family, to honor and celebrate our host state, Ogun State.

Ogun State is more than a geographical home to Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria; it is a land that has graciously embraced the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. Within its borders stand Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria and many other Ahmadiyya institutions, all thriving under the state’s spirit of magnanimity, peace, and religious tolerance.

The program opened on a solemn and proud note with the Ogun State anthem.

This was followed by an enlightening lecture on the history of Ogun State, delivered by Mu‘allim Idris Sulaiman, a lecturer at Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria. His presentation traced the state’s journey, highlighting its legacy of learning, industry, and leadership.

This was followed by various remarks and comments.
The sitting was gracefully chaired by Maulvi Tariq Mahmoud, a lecturer at Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria.

As Ogun State celebrates fifty years of progress, Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria proudly stands as a beneficiary and partner in its peaceful and inclusive environment, offering prayers for many more years of unity, development, and harmony

Report on Arabic and Urdu Language Camp

Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria
6th – 14th January 2026

Jamia Ahmadiyya Nigeria successfully organized an Arabic and Urdu Language Camp which commenced on the 6th of January 2026 and concluded on the 14th of January 2026. The camp was designed to strengthen students’ proficiency and confidence in both Arabic and Urdu languages, which are essential to their academic and religious training.

The camp was structured into two major sections. The Urdu Language Camp was organized for the first two junior classes, while the Arabic Language Camp was meant for the two senior classes. This arrangement ensured that each group received training appropriate to their academic level.

Throughout the camp, various educational and interactive activities were conducted. Scholars and experts of the Jama‘at were invited to deliver special sessions, many of which were interactive in nature. These sessions covered diverse topics related to language learning, effective communication, and the religious and academic importance of Arabic and Urdu.

Students also watched selected educational videos, participated in organized programs, and engaged in group discussions. In the Arabic camp, special emphasis was placed on debate sessions conducted fully in Arabic, as well as several oral presentations. Students also practiced delivering short lectures in Arabic, which greatly improved their confidence and fluency.

The primary objective of the Arabic camp was to enhance students’ ability to understand Islamic sources such as the Qur’an, Hadith, and the classical and contemporary literature of Islamic scholars. Likewise, the Urdu camp aimed to enable students to better understand the writings of the Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), many of whose important books were written in Urdu.

The camp concluded with a grand closing session where students presented various performances in both Arabic and Urdu. These included original poems composed by the students, speeches expressing their experiences during the camp, and other intellectually engaging presentations. The quality of the performances reflected the positive impact of the camp on the students’ language skills and confidence.

In conclusion, the Arabic and Urdu Language Camp was a remarkable success. It significantly contributed to the academic, linguistic, and spiritual development of the students. We are deeply grateful to Allah Almighty for granting success to this noble program, and we pray that its benefits continue to reflect in the lives and studies of all participants.

HOW TO DEAL WITH INCREMENT IN ONE’S PROPERTY AFTER PAYING HISSA JAIDAD, AND SHOULD ONE TERMINATE ONE’S WASIYYAT DUE TO FINANCIAL DIFFICULTIES?

" When one acquires more properties after payment of Hissa Jaidad on existing ones, it is a matter of Taqwah to inform the Jama'at of this development and get the new properties evaluated for the 1/10th Hissa Jaidad...Instead of terminating one's Wasiyyat because of financial difficulties or reduction in earning, it is better to inform the Jama'at and request for a reduced payment rate according to the person's present condition"
