TOPIC: THE BENEFITS OF THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST FOR BELIEVERS
Text: 1 Cor 15:17-20, Rom 4:25, 1 Pet 1:3

INTRODUCTION: The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the foundation of Christian faith. Without it Christianity would be empty. 1 Cor 15:17
But thank God Jesus is alive! His resurrection is not just history. It brings powerful benefits to every believer today.

BENEFITS
1. JUSTIFICATION: We are declared righteousness Rom 4:25.
Meaning: The resurrection of proves that God accepted Jesus' sacrifice.
- You are no longer guilty before God.

Listen to this;
- No more Condemnation
- You are declared righteousness in Christ Rom 8:1

Note: The resurrection is your legal freedom in the court of heaven.

2. VICTORY OVER SIN: We are no longer slave to sin Rom 6:4

Meaning: The same power that raised Jesus gives you power after sin.

- You are no longer a slave to sin
- You can live a holy life Rom 6:14
Note: Resurrection power breaks sinful habits.

3.VICTORY OVER DEATH: Death is no longer the end for believers I Cor 15:55-57.
- Eternal life is guaranteed
- Fear of death is removed John 11:25

Note: The grave is not your end - It is your transition to glory.

4.NEW LIFE: Spiritual rebirth 2 Cor 5:17
Meaning: Resurrection brings transformation
- Old life is gone
- New Identity in Christ. Col 3:1
Note: You are not same person anymore.

5.ACCESS TO POWER: (Resurrection power) You have access to the power of Resurrection. Resurrection power is available to believers.
- Power for miracles
- Power to overcome challenges.
Note: The same Power that raised Jesus Christ is working in you.

6.ASSURANCE OF OUR OWN RESURRECTION: 1 Cor 15:20
Jesus resurrection guaranteed ours.

Meaning: After death
- We will rise again
- Our future is secured 1 Thess 4:16-17
Because He lives, you will live also. HALLELUJAH!!!

7.HOPE AND JOY IN LIFE: Jesus resurrection gives life . Hope in difficult times, Joy despite challenges

Note: No matter what you face, your future is bright.

CONCLUSION: The resurrection of Jesus Christ brings
- Justification
- Victory over sin
- Victory over death
- New life
- Power
- Assurance of eternal life
- Hope and Joy
Without the resurrection, there is no Christianity, there is everything you need for life and godliness.

TOPIC: LIVING A DENT FREE LIFE AS A CHRISTIAN YOUTH IN THIS CORRUPT CONTEMPORARY WORLD
Text: Ephesians 5:25, I Peter 1:18-19,Romans 12:1, II Timothy 2:21, I John 3:3

1. Introduction
A *dent-free life* refers to a life unstained , uncorrupted and undamaged by sin.

Just like a new car looses value, when dented, many young people looses spiritual value, glory and usefulness because of sin.
• Jesus did not die to save you only
• He died to present you spotless. Ephesians 5:27.

2. What is a "Dent" in the spiritual life?

A dent is anything that damage your spiritual purity and testimony.

Examples of Dent
i. Sexual immorality
ii. Addiction ( po*******hy, drug etc)
iii. Lying and Fraud
iv. Bitterness and unforgiveness
v. Compromise with worldly standard song Solomon 2:15

Note Little sin create big dents

3. The Sacrificial Death of Christ and your purity
A. You were redeemed to be pure_ I Pet. 1:18-19.
Note: The blood of Jesus was not shed for you to continue in sin.

B. You are called to be a living sacrifice Rom. 12:1
✓ Your body is not for immorality
✓ Your life must reflect Christ

C. Christ paid for a spotless life *Heb 9:14
Note: A dent-free life is a response to what Jesus has done.

4. Why Christian Youths must live dent free life
A. Because you represent Christ II Cor. 5:20
Note: A dented life misrepresent Jesus
B. Because your future is at stake, many destinies are destroyed in youth because of sin Ecl 12:1
C. Because purity attracts God's presence Matt 5:8

5. How Dents Enter A young person's life
A. Wrong Associations I Cor. 15:13
B. Lack of Discipline
✓No control over desires
✓ Following feelings instead of the word of God
C. Exposure to ungodly media
✓ Social media, movies, music that promote sin
D. Gradual Compromise
✓ Nobody falls suddenly- dents come little by little

6. How to live a Dent- free life
A. Guard your heart Prov. 4: 23
B. Flee sin II Tim. 2:22

Note:Don't negotiate with sin- run from it
C.Stay rooted in God's word Psalm 119:9
D. Maintain daily fellowship with God in ;
i. Prayer
ii. Worship
iii. Study of the word
E. Walk in the fear of God Prov. 8:13

7. What to do if your life is already dented
Note: God News; God restores
A. Repent genuinely I John 1:9
B. Accept God's forgiveness
Note: Don't live in guilt
C. Allow God to restore you Joel 2:25
✓ God can make a dented life beautiful

8. Practical Instructions for youths
✓ Say no to premarital s*x
✓ Avoid "Yahoo yahoo" and dishonesty
✓ Dress decently
✓ Choose godly friends
✓ Be accountable to a mentor
✓ Control what you watch and listen to

9. Conclusion: Jesus died not just to save you, but to make you spotless, pure and glorious.

Through powerful expressions and deep storytelling, the message was made clear how the world tries to leave dents on our lives through sin, peer pressure, and distractions, but through Christ, we are restored, made whole, and set free.

It was more than a performance; it was a divine message that touched hearts, opened eyes, and stirred a desire to live right for God.

✨ Easter Retreat 2026 Highlights ✨

Today was a powerful and life-transforming experience at our Easter Retreat!

With the theme:
“Living a DENT-Free Life as a Christian Youth in this Contemporary World” (Ephesians 5:25)

We were reminded that as Christian youth, our lives should not be dented by the pressures, sins, and corrupt systems of this world. Instead, we are called to live whole, pure, and free through the love and sacrifice of Christ.

It was a day filled with impactful teachings, deep prayers, spirit-filled worship, and uplifting fellowship. Truly, lives were touched and hearts were renewed!

May we continue to live a life that reflects Christ—undented, unshaken, and unstoppable in faith.
