Please take time today to remember Jesus being betrayed by a close friend of His, thrown into cuffs, slapped and spit on by the lead pastors of the time, condemned to die by the people He came to save, was flogged, whipped, ridiculed, arms and legs extended then nails hammered through His hands and feet, taking upon Himself your guilty sentence and its consequences just so you may have the chose on whether to have His payment be made for you or you make the payment for yourself. One choice is Paradise forever. The second choice is misery forever.

Because that is the eternal consequence we rightly deserve but are given the choice of a free pardon if we so choose by accepted Jesus’ condemnation on our behalf, believing we’ve been acquitted by God because of Jesus.
