SEE THE INVISIBLE, BELIEVE THE IMPOSSIBLE

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?" Jeremiah 32:27

Our God is a loving God! He doesn't take delight in our misery. He is the Lord of the universe. The Bible says that He created all things for His own pleasure (Revelations 4:11). He desires to give you everything you want because you are His child. Your prosperity is hinged on the presence of God with you. so when you are conscious of His presence all your troubles will be over.

Joseph recognized this truth and took advantage of it. (Genesis 39:2) This young man knew all along that he would be the ruler of nations and all his kinfolks will bow before him. In spite of the many troubles that came upon him, He still saw the invisible and believed the impossible. This is why he wasn't bitter with those who ill treated him; he knew he was going somewhere.

Whatever it is you desire, our God "....is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us" (Ephesians 3:20) Did you see that? The power isn't coming from above, it's inside you now! In Mathew 21:22 the Lord Jesus said, "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing you shall receive" He wouldn't try to negotiate you out of your desire because He's able to give you more than you can ever imagine. Remember that God told Abraham that He gave him as far as his eyes could see (Genesis 13:14-15) If you can see it, you shall have it.

He will not only help you get a job in that company, He can make you own it. Sounds incredible doesn't it? But its the truth nonetheless! Joseph was a forgotten prisoner one night, the next morning he was the Prime Minister of the Egyptian empire, next only to the Pharaoh. Our God can still do the same today, and much more too! The problem is that we have limited God in our minds and so we are not able to comprehend His ability in us. This is the reason we must continually renew our minds with the Word. Only then are we able to recognize him as the Monarch of the universe and that anything is possible when you see the invisible and believe the impossible.

HE PAID IT ALL

The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world (John 1:29).

Perhaps you’re familiar with this beautiful song that encapsulates the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ in our behalf: “He paid a debt He did not owe, I owed a debt I could not pay, I needed someone to wash my sins away. And now I sing a brand new song, amazing grace; Christ Jesus paid the debt that I could never pay….” Yes, indeed, He paid the full penalty for our sins!

When Adam disobeyed God, the inevitable consequence was spiritual death (Genesis 2:17), which is total severance or separation from God. The Bible says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).
However, God immediately introduced the sacrifice of bulls and goats as atonement for sin. This was the order with the children of Israel in the Old Testament, for without the shedding of blood, there couldn’t be remission for sin (Hebrews 9:22).

Nevertheless, the Bible lets us know that the sacrifice of bulls and goats couldn’t take away sin: “For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins” (Hebrews 10:4). God then activated a grand plan for man’s total salvation by sending Jesus Christ. Man’s salvation was consummated when Jesus Christ—the Lamb of God—was offered to take away the sins of the world (John 1:29). The Bible calls Him “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

By His death on the Cross, Jesus bore our sins and washed them away with His blood, once and for all time! He paid the ultimate price for sin, which man had incurred without a means of settlement. Hebrews 9:12 says, “Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
”Christ has paid for the remission of your sins. Now, you’re washed, sanctified, and justified; free from sin, death, and destruction. Glory to God!

Things freely given to us!

"Now we have received not the spirit of the world but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God." 1st Corinthians 2:12

Thank God for making it possible for us to receive the Holy Spirit! There are things that have been freely given to us of God, and the Holy Spirit unveils them to us, and helps us enjoy them. Many go through life without enjoying all that God has already prepared for them simply because they ignored the Holy Spirit. Some aren't even aware that God has given them a great life to enjoy. They carry on in life walking in darkness, struggling, as though they had nothing from God.

No one who has the Holy Spirit should ever walk in darkness or uncertainty. He is the light of life! Rev. Chris Oyakhilome.

A Very Present Help!

God is great, yet he is our friend and we can talk to him like our companion. Its a relief to know that I am never alone, even for one moment! The Lord Jesus has already told us that in the last days "...there will be distress (trouble and anguish) of nations in bewilderment and perplexity [without resources, left wanting, embarrassed, in doubt, not knowing which way to turn] at the roaring (the echo) of the tossing sea" (Luke 21:25 Amp) These are the pictures we see on TV, hear on radio and read in the newspaper daily. But as Christians, irrespective of how vivid these pictures might be, they are not out portion. Pst Chris Oyakhilome.

April: The month of direction.

John 8:12
Then spake Jesus again to them saying, I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not work in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Glory be to God, yesterday our Man of God declared the month of April as our month of direction and that direction provides, guidance, counsel, focus, course and instruction.

He further informed that we ought not to be in darkness about anything, but when specific information is not given in the Bible, we can pray in the Spirit and have information and counsel granted us by the Spirit of God in us. We are children of the light and we should walk in the light as he is in the light.

A testimony that makes glad...

I gave my heart to Christ in the year 2000 during a program in my Secondary School days. Since that day, I developed a hunger for more of God, to know Him and love Him more.

During a time of vacation in April 2002, I visited my Aunt in Owerri and I came across the book - Rhapsody of Realities.

At first, I saw the book on the floor in the guest room I was told to stay during the vacation. Picking it up, it took me some seconds to pronounce the name RHAPSODY because that was my first time to see the word. I quickly looked for a dictionary to ascertain the meaning before opening the Book. Knowing the meaning of the word brought more curiosity to read the Book.

Opening it, I discovered it was a Daily Devotional of December 2001 edition. Prior to this time, I was only using Daily Bread and Daily Manner Devotionals. I browsed through the pages of the Rhapsody of Realities and saw captions like "In Him", "Upward and Forward Life" and "No More Tears".

Reading these captions and studying the depth of the message sparked up a glow in my spirit and I was so excited that I came in contact with such a book. From that day forward I started looking for a Christ Embassy church nearby. All I had in my mind was that; if a Daily Devotional can be like this, what will happen when I worship in the church of the one that wrote it.

I didn't get to see any Christ Embassy Church in Owerri at that time till 2003 August to be precise. I woke up one Sunday morning tired of going to my former church were demonology is being taught. I told myself that Sunday morning, enough is enough; I need a church where Christianity and the realities are being taught.

I left the house looking for a church to attend, street by street until I found a Christ Embassy Church.... Hallelujah!!!!

The miracle of the day was that as I entered the Church, it was Rhapsody of Realities segment. At this point I was so excited. I knew in my Spirit that I had gotten home. While the segment was going on, a Brother walked up to me and gave me a brand-new copy of August Edition of the Rhapsody of Realities; I felt like shouting and jumping. I was full of joy knowing that an additional copy has been added to my library since the only copy I had was the December 2001 Edition.

Since that day till now, I have been giving towards Rhapsody of Realities because I know how the book transformed my thinking. The words written on this book took me from a place of obscurity to a place of prominence in ministry.

I can't stop partnering with ROR...I have found out that as the book is gaining grounds globally...so my business and dealings of life are moving globally.

RHAPSODY OF REALITIES
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3RD, 2019.

PASTOR CHRIS OYAKHILOME

THEME: THREE WAYS TO TESTIFY.

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world (1 John 4:14).

There’re three ways you testify: one is by declaring before the Lord Himself what He did for you. You count your blessings and testify of His goodness in your personal life; you’re conscious of, and thankful for, all He’s done for you, in you, and with you, affirming that they happened by His grace, mercy, faithfulness, and love that endure forever.

Secondly, you testify with your offering. This is the part that not so many yet understand and practise: the power of the offering. It’s a testimony. When you give God your offering, it’s not a collection; it’s a hallowed oblation, with which you’re testifying that He’s God and not a man. With your offering, you’re testifying and giving glory to Him in your life.

The Patriarchs—Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, and his son Solomon—all gave offerings upon the altar in worship to God. Take Solomon, for example; 1 Kings 3:4 says, “…a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar.” Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings where God would have accepted a much lesser figure; but it reflected His recognition and testimony of the greatness of God.

Apart from your offering being a celebration of the prosperity of God in your life, it’s also your affirmation or testimony of His greatness, and your recognition of His power and sovereignty.

The third way to testify is to tell others that which the Lord has done in, with, and for you. You tell of His goodness before men, living your life every day in faith, bearing fruits of righteousness. You’re joyful always, irrespective of circumstances.

It’s a testimony of your faith and confidence in the Lord when people see you and observe that you’re joyful and unruffled in the face of diverse tests. They observe that regardless of the pressures and adversities that you face, you’re steadfast, unmoved, always abounding in the work of the Lord; therefore, they’re inspired by your life of faith and trust in the Lord. That’s a testimony.

The aforementioned are basic ways that you testify to the glory of God in your life. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Blessed Father, you're great, and greatly to be praised. Thank you for the blessings and miracles I experience in my life, which are acts of your love and kindness. The heavens and earth declare your mighty works, and testify of your infinite wisdom and grace, even as all creation sings "Hallelujah" to you, the eternal King of glory. Blessed are you forever. Amen.

ALL THAT TRULY MATTERS .

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10).

As a Christian, every opportunity of service that God gives to you is important, and it means a lot in the Kingdom. You should realise that each one of us is going to give an account to God for the life we lived and for all He asked us to do. You’ll give an account to Him for your participation in the ministry of the Gospel; that’s what we read in our opening verse.

Sometimes, when we’re involved in something, whether an activity or a project, we often become oblivious of some important realities. People aren’t able to often stand outside of themselves to examine their ways and actions. And so, not many realise that their actions are a message every day, for which they must give an account to God.

You have to remember that your service of God, and to God, is written in God’s Book. Every word spoken, every act of your life, is in God’s Book. Your story is being written by God; you inspire that story. He has a plan that He’s already written concerning you, but you write your own story too every day in the way and manner you live your life.

One day, there’ll be a comparison between the life God drew up for you, the life He ordained for you, and what you eventually turned out to be; how you eventually lived. And your reward will be in line with how the life you lived measured up to the life He drew up for you.

The most important thing in your life is to discover God’s purpose for you, and fulfil it. Nothing on earth compares with serving the Lord and living for Him. Nothing could be better for time and eternity than to live for Jesus Christ; He’s all that truly matters: “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again” (2 Corinthians 5:15).

CONFESSION

I’m risen with Christ, and my affection is set on things above, where Christ sits at the right hand of God. I love you Lord with all my heart, and living for you is all that matters to me; to be relevant to the expansion of your Kingdom, and the establishment of your righteousness on earth. Hallelujah!
