*SATURDAY, JULY 24, 2021.*
*COUNSEL AND GUIDANCE OF GOD.*
*Read Isaiah 28:23-29*
[23]Give ye ear, and hear my voice; hearken, and hear my speech.
[24]Doth the plowman plow all day to sow? doth he open and break the clods of his ground?
[25]When he hath made plain the face thereof, doth he not cast abroad the fitches, and scatter the cu**in, and cast in the principal wheat and the appointed barley and the rie in their place?
[26]For his God doth instruct him to discretion, and doth teach him.
[27]For the fitches are not threshed with a threshing instrument, neither is a cart wheel turned about upon the cu**in; but the fitches are beaten out with a staff, and the cu**in with a rod.
[28]Bread corn is bruised; because he will not ever be threshing it, nor break it with the wheel of his cart, nor bruise it with his horsemen.
[29]This also cometh forth from the LORD of hosts, which is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in working.
*MEMORISE: Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety (Proverbs 11:14)*
*EXPOSITION*
Good children always take to the godly instructions of their parents. Indeed, *Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid (Prov. 12;1).* God so loved His people, His true sons and daughters, and wants to lead them in the path of righteousness.
Most of those people who made the right choices in life, had been well counselled, and have followed the right guidance.... *_in the multitude of counselors there is safety_* *(Prov. 11:14)*. When you are rightly counselled, there is the tendency to make good choices and avert evil. God wants His people to follow His guidance, and not to waste their resources on what is not profitable.
God asked the house of Isreal the pertinent question, *_Does the plowman keep plowing all day to sow?_* *(Isa. 28:24)*. If a farmer, who ploughs and sows can depend on God to teach him on the best agricultural
