TOPIC : THE LORD SHALL DELIVER YOU FROM YOUR ENEMIES
TEXT FOCUS : " ... Just then the Cush*te came, and the Cush*te said, "There is good news, my Lord the King! For the Lord God has avenged you this day of all those who rose against you" ( verse. 3 )
📜✍ Those that put their trust in the Lord God can never be put to shame. For the Lord God Almighty will defend them. God will fight for them. All hope was lost for David. He fled from the face of his son, Absalom. He was hopeless and demoralised. But he prayed and God moved on his behalf. Absalom was killed and the host of Israel that belonged to Absalom ran before the armies of David. The Bible says that the forest killed more of Absalom men than the host of David ( 2 Samuel. 18: 8 ).
📜✍ When God is set to fight for His children, He will use anything to work and perfect their deliverance. The experience at the Red Sea is a good example, the Egyptians were covered up by the Red Sea. The deliverance of the Israelites was divinely settled, secured and achieved.
📜✍ When a man commits his way to the Lord, he should wait patiently for divine direction that will deliver victory to him. Man should learn to trust the Lord. The enemies will surely come but deliverance comes from the Lord. The enemies may surround you today but the Almighty God will send His angels for your sake to rescue you from their hands. You will laugh last because sooner or later, the Lord shall fight back for you, visit your troublers with His anger and crush them down.
