YOUTH WEEK 2026 — DAY 1 RECAP! ⚽
What a way to kick off our Youth Week! 🙌🏽
The week began with an exciting friendly football match between Church of Christ, Uruk Uso and Church of Christ, University of Uyo Community.
After 90 minutes of energy, teamwork and great moments, both teams settled for an entertaining 2–2 draw! 🤝
A big thank you to both teams and everyone who came out to support.

Today's Sermon Topic: Death and dying:
How Christians should prepare their offspring to continue in faith after their Departure.

1.Death will come to every person. We should prepare while we are still alive. Heb. 9:27.

2. Before we prepare our children,we must prepare ourselves. Live faithfully and finish well. 2Tim. 4:7-8

3. Children remember what they see. Let them see faith, prayers, love and obedience in your life. Deut. 6:4-9.Let your life teach your children.

4. Caring for our family is part of Christian responsibility.Wise planning is Good stewardship.

5 .Do not be Afraid to talk about Death. Talking about death doesn't make death happen. It helps us prepare wisely.

6. Put your house in order. Isa. 38:1.
Do important things while you are still alive. Do not leave your family confused.

7.Prov. 13:22. Money can finish. Land can be sold. But a godly example can bless your children for many years.

8.Put your earthly affairs in order. Above all, prepare your soul to meet God. Heb. 9:27.

A THOUGHT TO TAKE HOME

One day, our children may have to live without us. When that day comes, what will they remember about our walk with God?

Will they remember our prayers, our love, our obedience, our faith, and our commitment to the Lord?

“What would your children remember you for?”

May God help us to live faithfully, finish well, and leave behind a legacy of faith that will continue from generation to generation. Amen.

No matter how much time has been lost, God is able to restore what seems wasted. Like the prodigal son, the journey to restoration begins with a decision to arise and return to the Father. His mercy is greater than our failures, and His grace gives new beginnings.
Return to God today—He can restore your wasted years.
