TOPIC: Be Cautious of your act in the Church of God
TEXT: Matthew 24:4-5;26:41

Introduction: The Church of God is not an ordinary place. It is His dwelling and God's presence is honored. Jesus urged believers to approach the house of God with reverence and caution. Jesus in the above passage urged his disciples to watch out and be cautious that no man deceives them. As followers of Christ, we need to be cautious and careful so we might not be led astray and fall into temptation.

Things to do in the Church of God
* We need to honour God in the beauty of his holiness.
* Be careful of how you speak, what words come out of your mouth and what you do so that you might not lead to another man's downfall.
* Also be cautious of what and whom you listen to so that you might not be led astray.

N/B: We should all live carefully while preparing for the coming of Christ irrespective of the situation we find ourselves, we should live uprightly and also prepare for the coming of Christ so that we will not end up like the five out of the ten virgins who were foolish and did not take any extra oil in their lamps with them to meet the bridegroom. Upon the arrival of the bridegroom, the five foolish virgins were unprepared and as a result, did not participate in the wedding banquet.

In conclusion, as believers, we should all be prepared so that we will not miss out in the blessings God had promised to all faithful believers.

Gift is an important thing that is why Luke has given an instruction in Luke 6:38 that we should give and it shall be given unto us.
When you give, don't give with an expectation of receiving something in return, give wholeheartedly and you will receive blessings from God.

One of the best gifts one can receive is having the gift of Christ. When you have and receive christ as your Lord and personal Saviour, he shall dwell with you all the days of your life.

Characteristics of One that has Christ as a gift
* Good behaviour
* Fear of God
* Godliness and many more
In Conclusion, Whatsoever you sow, so shall you reap. Whatever you do on earth, at the end, shall be measured, pressed down, shaken down and given unto you as a reward whether good or bad.
So in essence, live a good and righteous life, a life that is centered in Christ..

Faith means trust or confidence. It means trusting and believing in God. Our services to God is the work of faith not of flesh.
Biblical example of working by faith in James 2:25 was Rahab the harlot.
Faith according to Hebrews 11 is the confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.

BIBLICAL EXAMPLE OF PEOPLE WHO EXERCISED FAITH ACCORDING TO HEBREWS 11
* Abel: by faith, Abel brought a better sacrifice that Cain to God which pleased God.
* Enoch; By faith, Enoch was taken from this life and did not experience death. He was commended as one who pleased God. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.
* Noah: Noah after being warned about a flood which did not occur yet, but by faith he built an ark to save that dispensation
* Abraham: Abraham by faith left his homeland as he was instructed by God with his household to a foreign land. By faith, he made his home in the promised land like a stranger in a foreign land.
