3rd Sunday Service and Area Sunday School Rally Held Successfully with Joyful Presentations

The 3rd Sunday Service for the month of May, which also featured the Area Sunday School Rally, was held successfully in an atmosphere filled with joy, spiritual upliftment, and thanksgiving to God.

The service began with inspiring worship sessions and active participation from members of the congregation. One of the highlights before the sermon was the special presentations by the Sunday School children. The children confidently presented their memory verses and other inspiring activities, drawing admiration and encouragement from the congregation. Their boldness, discipline, and understanding of the Word of God reflected the dedication of their teachers and parents toward raising godly children.

Delivering the sermon was Elder E. W. Joshua from Ikot Enwang Assembly 1, who ministered on the topic, “What Is Written About You?” with the main text taken from 2 Corinthians 3:2–6, while references were also made to Acts 9:36 and Exodus 2:11–19.

During the Divine Worship Service, the congregation was spiritually nourished through a powerful sermon delivered by Elder E. U. Obot on the topic: “What Can Separate Us From the Love of God?” The sermon text was taken from Epistle to the Romans 8:31-39.

In his message, Elder Obot reminded worshippers that the love of God is unconditional, unfailing, and stronger than every challenge believers may encounter in life. Reading from the scriptures, he emphasized that neither tribulation, persecution, hardship, famine, danger, nor even death can separate true believers from the love of God which is found in Christ Jesus.

The preacher encouraged members of the congregation to remain steadfast in faith despite the trials and temptations of the world. He explained that many Christians often become discouraged during difficult moments, but the assurance found in Romans chapter 8 gives believers confidence that God’s love remains constant in every situation.

FIRST SUNDAY SERVICE OF MAY HOLDS WITH POWERFUL MESSAGE ON “THE KILLER OF DREAMS”

The First Sunday Service of May was held in a spiritually uplifting atmosphere as members of the congregation gathered to worship God and seek divine direction for the new month. The service featured prayers, hymns, choir ministrations, scriptural exhortation, and a thought-provoking sermon centered on overcoming obstacles to destiny.

The worship session began with an opening prayer led by Elder S. U. Akpan, who also serves as the Active Elder for the month of May. His prayer committed the congregation and the new month into the hands of God, asking for blessings, protection, and spiritual growth.

This was followed by soul-lifting choruses led by Deacon Abel, who guided the congregation into heartfelt praise and worship. The atmosphere grew more joyful as the congregation rendered Hymn No. 108, led by Elder S. U. Akpan, with members singing in unity and thanksgiving.

The preacher also emphasized low mentality, lack of patience, and spiritual entitlement, explaining that some people expect results without commitment or hard work. He warned against anger issues, which can destroy relationships and opportunities, and concluded by stressing that faith without works is dead, encouraging members to combine prayer with action.

The sermon deeply challenged the congregation to write down their visions, trust God’s timing, work diligently, and remove every negative trait capable of killing their dreams.
