3rd Sunday Service and Area Sunday School Rally Held Successfully with Joyful Presentations
The 3rd Sunday Service for the month of May, which also featured the Area Sunday School Rally, was held successfully in an atmosphere filled with joy, spiritual upliftment, and thanksgiving to God.
The service began with inspiring worship sessions and active participation from members of the congregation. One of the highlights before the sermon was the special presentations by the Sunday School children. The children confidently presented their memory verses and other inspiring activities, drawing admiration and encouragement from the congregation. Their boldness, discipline, and understanding of the Word of God reflected the dedication of their teachers and parents toward raising godly children.
Delivering the sermon was Elder E. W. Joshua from Ikot Enwang Assembly 1, who ministered on the topic, “What Is Written About You?” with the main text taken from 2 Corinthians 3:2–6, while references were also made to Acts 9:36 and Exodus 2:11–19.
In his message, Elder Joshua emphasized the importance of Christian character and godly living. He reminded believers that every individual is being watched by the world, and that people often read the lives of Christians more than they read the Bible. He highlighted key areas such as:
- Our lifestyle
- Our deeds
- Our actions
According to him, these are the things that speak loudly about a person and determine what will be remembered or written about them. He encouraged members to always live lives that glorify God by doing good works, showing kindness, helping others, and maintaining upright character in society. He stressed that as children of God, believers should strive to leave positive footprints wherever they find themselves so that good things will be written and remembered about them.
Following the sermon, the Sunday School children continued with more exciting presentations. They thrilled the congregation with various activities and later presented their action chorus, which brought great joy, excitement, and smiles to the hearts of everyone present. The atmosphere became lively as members appreciated the wonderful performance and the spiritual growth displayed by the children.
After the rally activities, announcements were delivered by the responsible elder of the month, who appreciated everyone for their attendance, support, and commitment toward the success of the service and the Sunday School Rally.
The service came to a close with the closing prayer led by Elder A. A. Akpan, who committed the congregation into the hands of God and prayed for continuous grace, protection, and spiritual growth for both the children and the entire church.
Indeed, the 3rd Sunday Service and Area Sunday School Rally ended on a joyful and memorable note, leaving everyone blessed and encouraged to continue living lives worthy of good reports before God and humanity.
