The convention commenced with an opening prayer led by Apostle G. S. Ekanem, followed by choruses led by Eld. Emmanuel Obot and Opening Hymn No. 194. Various choirs, including the Abiakpo Ikot Essien Area and District choirs, District youth choirs, Utu Edem Usung District Choir, Abiakpo Edem Idim choirs, as well as Youth choirs in all the Districts that make up the Area, rendered special ministrations in the convention. The service also featured worship led by Apostle G. S. Ekanem, including Apostolic Greetings,
The sermon was delivered by Pastor King James, with Eld. Ubong F. Etukudoh serving as interpreter. The main text was Psalm 146:10, with the theme “He Shall Reign Forever” and the sub-theme “Behold, the King of Glory Is Here.” Other supporting scriptures included Psalm 24:7–10 and Revelation 5:1 onward.
The message emphasized the eternal reign and supreme authority of Jesus Christ, the King of Glory. The speaker declared that during the convention, every spiritual gate and door representing powers, principalities, and longstanding limitations would open because the King of Glory is present to bring deliverance.
He encouraged the congregation to believe that even struggles and limitations that previous generations could not overcome would be addressed, because the King of Glory is here to intervene, set His people free, and take control of every situation.
The Field Superintendent of The Apostolic Church Nigeria, Ikot Ekpene Field, Apostle E. O. Akpan also ordained some elders within the area to support and assist in advancing the work of God.
