APOSTLE PROF. GEORGE APPOINTED TERRITORIAL ADMINISTRATIVE ADVISOR..as Territorial Chairman announces other approved programmes..National Youth Convention to hold in Uyo
The Territorial Chairman and National Vice President, Apostle E. U. Johnson, has announced the appointment of Apostle Prof. I. N. George as the Territorial Administrative Advisor to the Akwa Ibom State Territory.
The announcement was made during the opening services of the Territorial Prophetic Tour held in Ikot Abasi and Etinan Fields on Wednesday, March 4, 2026. While making the announcement, the Territorial Chairman explained that the appointment of Apostle Prof. George was in recognition of his vast administrative experience, distinguished leadership, and longstanding contributions to the work of The Apostolic Church Nigeria. In his new role, he will provide strategic administrative guidance and advisory support to the Territorial leadership as the work of the church continues to expand across the Akwa Ibom State Territory.
During the services, the Territorial Chairman also issued a number of important administrative directives to guide the operations of the church within the Territory. He announced that no new Fields will be created within the Territory until further notice, except under conditions that may be stipulated by the Territorial leadership. According to him, the directive is intended to ensure proper coordination, stability, and orderly growth across the Territory.
He further emphasized that the Territorial Transfer Policy remains fully in force and urged ministers and church leaders to encourage and promote the process. He noted that transfers remain an important aspect of church administration as they promote ministerial balance, wider exposure for ministers, and the effective spread of the gospel within the Territory.
In strengthening the administrative framework of the Territory, Apostle Johnson also disclosed that eighteen Standing Committees have been inaugurated. These committees are expected to commence work immediately in their respective areas of responsibility in order to enhance the smooth running of the affairs of the church.
As part of the ongoing effort to strengthen administrative and security structures within the Territory, the Territorial Chairman also announced the appointment of a Territorial Security Director and a Territorial Provost, who will help coordinate security and order during major church programmes and activities across the Territory.
As part of the developmental agenda for the year, the Territorial Chairman also unveiled the 2026 Territorial Project, which includes the renovation of the Territorial Offices as well as the construction of the Territorial Chairmanβs residence. Members across the Territory were encouraged to support the project prayerfully and financially as part of their collective commitment to the advancement of the work of God.
Speaking further on youth development within the church, the Territorial Chairman directed that Youth Sunday must be observed in all assemblies across the Territory on the third Sunday of every month. He also announced that the Territorial Youth Conference will hold on Saturday, March 28, 2026, while the National Youth Leadership Prayer Retreat is scheduled to take place at Maritime Territory from April 14 to April 17, 2026.
In another major announcement, he revealed that the Akwa Ibom State Territory will host the National Youth Convention of The Apostolic Church Nigeria from August 28 to August 30, 2026, an event expected to attract youth from all the Territories across the country.
The Territorial Chairman also informed members of several upcoming national programmes of the church, including the National Quadrennial Convention scheduled for 2028, the National Menβs Movement Convention slated for 2027 at Maritime Territory, and the National Womenβs Movement Convention, which is expected to hold in Akwa Ibom State Territory, if possible, in 2027.
In support of youth development at the national level, he further directed that the offering of the first Sunday in July each year be dedicated to the National Youth Movement.
Apostle Johnson also announced the establishment of the National Professional Forum, an initiative aimed at strengthening evangelism, mentorship, professional networking, and youth empowerment among professionals within the church community.
He further disclosed that the Territorial Tour of the National President will soon commence, with the official dates to be announced in due course.
These announcements formed part of broader efforts by the Territorial leadership to strengthen administration, deepen spiritual commitment, and position the Akwa Ibom State Territory for greater growth and effectiveness in the work of God.
