DAILY REFLECTION FOR

_TUESDAY MARCH 10, 2026_

*THEME: _A PROPHECY OF HOPE AND SALVATION_*

*TEXT: _ISAIAH 7:10-14_*
¹⁰ Again the LORD spoke to Ahaz,
¹¹ "Ask a sign of the LORD your God; let it be deep as Sheol or high as heaven."
¹² But Ahaz said, "I will not ask, and I will not put the LORD to the test."
¹³ And he said, "Hear then, O house of David! Is it too little for you to weary men, that you weary my God also?
¹⁴ Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, a young woman shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

*THE MESSAGE:*
Rezin, the king of Syria, and Pekah the King of Israel (or Samaria) joined to war against Judah, and God told Ahaz, King of Judah, to ask for a sign that God would not allow the evil confederacy to conquer Judah but Ahaz refused to do so, saying he would not tempt the Lord. What a false and stupid piety by Ahaz!

This was time of political fear and instability that the Lord gave King Ahaz a sign not of military strength or economic power, but a prophecy pointing to the birth of the Messiah. This child, born of a virgin, would be called Immanuel, meaning "God with us."

This prophecy was a message of hope to a troubled nation, and it is still God's message to us today. Jesus is the fulfillment of that promise. He is God with us our Peace in storms, our Guide in confusion, our Salvation in hopelessness.

God does not abandon His people in times of crisis. Instead, He draws near, offering Himself as the solution. In Jesus, we have the assurance that no matter the darkness around us, God is present, faithful, and working out our salvation.

About three years after this prophecy of hope and salvation, Assyria invaded Syria, and Pekah was assassination by Hosea (2 kings 15:30), proving that when God is with you, no one can be against you and overcome you. Trust in God.

*HYMN: MHB 242* _(8.7.8.7.)_
1 Come, Thou long-expected Jesus,
Born to set Thy people free,
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.

2 Israel's strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear Desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.

3 Born Thy people to deliver,
Born a child and yet a king,
Born to reign in us for ever,
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring.

4 By Thine own eternal Spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone;
By Thine all-sufficient merit
Raise us to Thy glorious throne.
Amen.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. _Isaiah 7:14_

*PRAYER:*
O Lord, thank You for the gift of Immanuel - Jesus, God with us. Help me to rest in Your presence and trust in Your promises. Let the hope of salvation fill my heart and light my path. Amen.

DAILY REFLECTION FOR

_MONDAY MARCH 09, 2026_

*THEME: _THE RAISING OF LAZARUS_*

*TEXT: _JOHN 11:1-6_*
¹ Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.
² It was Mary who anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was ill.
³ So the sisters sent to him, saying, "Lord, he whom you love is ill."
⁴ But when Jesus heard it he said, "This illness is not unto death; it is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified by means of it."
⁵ Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.
⁶ So when he heard that he was ill, he stayed two days longer in the place where he was.

*THE MESSAGE:*
When Jesus heard that Lazarus was sick, He did not rush to Bethany immediately. Instead, He said the sickness would glorify God. This seemed confusing at first, especially as Lazarus eventually died. But Jesus had a greater plan - to reveal Himself as the Resurrection and the Life.

God often works mysteriously beyond our understanding. What may seem like delay or silence is often divine preparation for a greater miracle. Jesus allowed death of Lazarus so that His resurrection power could be displayed, showing that even the grave is not final when He is involved.

Though Apostle John tells us that Jesus loved Mary, Martha and Lazarus (v.5) He abode two days in the same place where He was. To us, this non-challant attitude to the sickness of the one He loved appears questionable. However, time means nothing to Him as He could raise the dead- even from the grave, at any time! Delay is not denial!

In our moments of waiting, we must remember that God is never late. His love and power remain constant even when things look hopeless. He can still call forth life from dead places - dreams, relationships, ministries and bring glory through it all.

*HYMN: MHB 565* _(CM)_
1 I know that my Redeemer lives,
And ever prays for me;
A token of His love He gives,
A pledge of liberty.

2 I find Him lifting up my head,
He brings salvation near,
His presence makes me free indeed,
And He will soon appear.

3 He wills that I should holy be;
What can withstand His will?
The counsel of His grace in me
He surely shall fulfil.

4 Jesus, I hang upon Thy word;
I steadfastly believe
Thou wilt return and claim me, Lord
And to Thyself receive.

5 When God is mine, and I am His.
Of paradise possessed,
I taste unutterable bliss
And everlasting rest.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby. _John 11:4_

*PRAYER:*
Lord Jesus, I trust You even in the delays of life. Raise every dead area in me for Your glory. Help me to believe, even when I do not understand, that You are working all things together for good. Amen.

*DAILY REFLECTION FOR TODAY*

*SATURDAY, 28TH FEBRUARY, 2026*

*THEME: WORK, FAITH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS*

*PASSAGE: ROMANS CHAPTER 4 VS 1–5*

*ROMANS 4 VS 1 : What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?*

*ROMANS 4 VS 2 : For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.*

*ROMANS 4 VS 3 : For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.*

*ROMANS 4 VS 4 : Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.*

*ROMANS 4 VS 5 : But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.*

*THE MESSAGE:*

*In Romans 4:1–5, Paul teaches about the relationship between faith, works, and righteousness, using Abraham as an example. He argues that Abraham was justified not by works, but by faith. Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness, even before the law was given, showing that faith, not human effort, is the basis for righteousness in God's eyes.*

*Paul emphasizes that works, or actions, cannot earn righteousness. No one can be justified by their deeds or by trying to meet the requirements of the law. Rather, righteousness comes as a gift from God, through faith in Him and His Son, Jesus Christ. This principle is foundational to our salvation in Christ. We are justified, or declared righteous, not because of our own efforts but because we trust in God's promise and His provision through faith in Jesus Christ, the Redeemer.*

*This teaching invites us to examine the role of our own faith in our lives. Are we trusting in our works or in God's grace? While good works are important as evidence of our faith, it is faith itself that justifies us before God. Our salvation is not based on our performance, but on God's grace received through faith. Therefore, let us, renew our faith in God through His Son, Jesus Christ, in order to enter God's rest at last.*

*MEMORY VERSE: ROMANS CHAPTER 4 VS 5*

*“However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness.”*

*DAILY REFLECTIONS*

TUESDAY FEBRUARY 24, 2026

*THEME: WHERE THERE IS NO LAW...*

*PASSAGE: ROMANS 5:12-19*
¹²Therefore as sin came into the world through one man and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all men sinned --
¹³ sin indeed was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not counted where there is no law.
¹⁴ Yet death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those whose sins were not like the transgression of Adam, who was a type of the one who was to come.
¹⁵ But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift in the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many.
¹⁶ And the free gift is not like the effect of that one man's sin. For the judgment following one trespass brought condemnation, but the free gift following many trespasses brings justification.
¹⁷ If, because of one man's trespass, death reigned through that one man, much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man Jesus Christ.
¹⁸ Then as one man's trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one man's act of righteousness leads to acquittal and life for all men.
¹⁹ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by one man's obedience many will be made righteous.

*THE MESSAGE:*
In Romans 5:12-19, Paul addresses the profound impact of Adam's sin and how it has affected humanity. Through Adam's disobedience, sin entered the world, and death followed as its consequence. Because of Adam's sin, all humans are born into a state of sin and death. However, Paul contrasts this with the grace and righteousness offered through Jesus Christ. Just as sin entered the world through one man, it is through one man, Jesus, that righteousness and life are offered to all.

Paul argues that because all the races of the world came into being through Adam, therefore sin by Adam has universal effect whether on Jews or the Gentiles.

Paul explains that the law, which came later, made people more aware of their sin, but it did not have the power to save. In contrast, Jesus' act of righteousness brought justification and life to all who receive it. Where there was no law, sin was still present, but the grace of God through Jesus Christ is by far greater than the sin that carne through Adam.

This passage reminds us of the incredible gift of grace that we have in Christ. The law reveals our sin, but it is through faith in Jesus that we are made righteous. Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more. Christ's sacrifice on the cross provides the opportunity for us to move from death to life, from condemnation to justification.

Brother/Sister, don't allow this free gift of grace to be in vain for you; grab it with genuine repentance of your sin and your salvation in heaven is assured.

1 And can it be that I should gain
An interest in the Saviour's blood?
Died He for me, who caused His pain?
For me, who Him to death pursued?
Amazing love! how can it be
That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me

2 'Tis mystery all! The Immortal dies:
Who can explore His strange design?
In vain the first-born seraph tries
To sound the depths of love divine.
'Tis mercy all! let earth adore,
Let angel minds inquire no more.

3 He left His Father's throne above
So free, so infinite His grace
Emptied Himself of all but love,
And bled for Adam's helpless race.
'Tis mercy all, immense and free;
For, O my God, it found out me!

4 Long my imprisoned spirit lay
Fast bound in sin and nature's night;
Thine eye diffused a quickeningray—
I woke, the dungeon flamed with light;
My chains fell off, my heart wasfree,
I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

5 No condemnation now I dread;
Jesus, and all in Him, is mine!
Alive in Him, my living Head,
And clothed in righteousness divine,
Bold I approach the eternal throne,
And claim the crown, through Christ, my own.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the One man, Jesus Christ! ROMANS 5:17

*PRAYER:*
Eternal Father, thank You for the grace and righteousness You offer through Jesus Christ. Help me to live in the light of Your forgiveness and to share this gift of life with others through Jesus Christ, our Savlour. Amen.

*THEME: YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN*

*PASSAGE: PSALM 32*
¹ Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
² Blessed is the man to whom the LORD imputes no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.
³ When I declared not my sin, my body wasted away through my groaning all day long.
⁴ For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. [Selah]
⁵ I acknowledged my sin to thee, and I did not hide my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the LORD"; then thou didst forgive the guilt of my sin. [Selah]
⁶ Therefore let every one who is godly offer prayer to thee; at a time of distress, in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him.
⁷ Thou art a hiding place for me, thou preservest me from trouble; thou dost encompass me with deliverance. [Selah]
⁸ I will instruct you and teach you the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
⁹ Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, else it will not keep with you.
¹⁰ Many are the pangs of the wicked; but steadfast love surrounds him who trusts in the LORD.
¹¹ Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart!

*THE MESSAGE:*
Psalm 32 is a beautiful expression of the joy and freedom that come with the forgiveness of sins. David wrote this psalm after experiencing the weight of un-confessed sin and the burden it placed on his soul. He begins by proclaiming the blessings of forgiveness, acknowledging that those whose sins are forgiven are truly blessed. The psalm reflects the relief and peace that follow when one confesses his/her sins and experiences God's mercy.

David speaks of the agony he felt while his sin remained hidden. His physical and emotional health deteriorated as he carried the weight of guilt. But when he confessed his sins to God, God forgave him, lifting the burden and restoring him. This illustrates the healing power of confession and the deep peace that comes when we are reconciled with God.

The Psalm encourages us to come before God with a humble and contrite heart, confessing our sins and trusting in His forgiveness. God is faithful to forgive, and His grace covers all our wrongdoings. As believers, we can find peace in knowing that our sins, though they were many, have been forgiven through Christ.

However, Romans 6:1-2a states "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace (of God) may abound? God forbid! Beware!

*PASSAGE: GENESIS 2:15-17*
¹⁵ The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to till it and keep it.
¹⁶ And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;
¹⁷ but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall die."

*THEME: DO NOT DARE GOD*

*THE MESSAGE*
God placed Adam in the Garden of Eden to work and care for it, giving him the freedom to enjoy the garden's abundance. However, God also commanded Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, warning that if he did, he will surely die.

This command reflects God's authority and the boundaries He sets for human life. The warning is clear, yet it foreshadows the moment when Adam and Eve would choose to disregard God's instruction, resulting in their fall.

The key lesson here is the importance of respecting God's commands and boundaries. To "dare God" is to treat His words lightly, as though His authority and consequences can be ignored. The serpent's temptation of Eve was rooted in the lie that disobedience would not bring harm. This is a dangerous attitude that many fall into everyday, thinking they can defy God's law without facing the consequences.

God is loving and gracious, and His commandments are for our good. Disregarding them brings separation from Him and destructive consequences to the offender. The fall of humanity began with disregarding God's Word. We must learn to honour and obey His commands, laws and judgments, trusting that His instructions are always for our protection and ultimate well-being.

*HYMN: MHB 781* _(L.M)_
1 Lord, speak to me, that I may speak
In living echoes of Thy tone;
As Thou hast sought, so let me seek
Thy erring children lost and lone.

2 O lead me. Lord, that I may lead
The wandering and the wavering feet;
O feed me, Lord, that I may feed
Thy hungering ones with manna sweet.

3 O strengthen me, that, while Istand
Firm on the rock, and strong in Thee,
I may stretch out a loving hand
To wrestlers with the troubled sea.

4 O teach me, Lord, that I may teach
The precious things Thou dost impart;
And wing my words, that they may reach
The hidden depths of many a heart.

5 O give Thine own sweet rest to me,
That I may speak with soothing power
A word in season, as from Thee,
To weary ones in needful hour.

6 O fill me with Thy fullness, Lord,
Until my very heart o'erflow
In kindling thought and glowing word,
Thy love to tell, Thy praise to show.

7 O use me, Lord, use even me,
Just as Thou wilt, and when, and where,
Until Thy blessed face I see,
Thy rest, Thy Joy, Thy glory share.
Amen.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
Do not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will surely die. GENESIS 2:17

⁵ But they were the more fierce, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee to this place.”
⁶ When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked if the Man were a Galilean.
⁷ And as soon as he knew that He belonged to Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent Him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time.
⁸ Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad; for he had desired for a long time to see Him, because he had heard many things about Him, and he hoped to see some miracle done by Him.
⁹ Then he questioned Him with many words, but He answered him nothing.
¹⁰ And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused Him.
¹¹ Then Herod, with his men of war, treated Him with contempt and mocked Him, arrayed Him in a gorgeous robe, and sent Him back to Pilate.
¹² That very day Pilate and Herod became friends with each other, for previously they had been at enmity with each other.
¹³ Then Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people,
¹⁴ said to them, “You have brought this Man to me, as one who misleads the people. And indeed, having examined Him in your presence, I have found no fault in this Man concerning those things of which you accuse Him;

*THEME: FALSE ACCUSATION*

*THE MESSAGE*
False accusations is laying charges against a person that he is not guilty of. The realm of heaven is a legal realm and, as such, every matter must be weighed on the scale of Divine Justice in order to ascertain the gravity of the crime committed and the punishment that is meet for such a crime. Unlike heaven, the legal position in the earth realm has been compromised over and over again. One can be prosecuted for a crime he is never guilty of and the law can be bent to see to it that he is penalized. This is the case of the text we are looking at today.

Jesus was brought in for trial before Pilate as a result of the accusations laid against Him. When these accusations were clearly looked into it was obvious that Jesus was not guilty because they all proved to be false. When He was brought before Herod, there was still no charge against Him. Yet, He was falsely accused because of the people's desire to get Him killed. Sworn enemies often become friends when they want to get you down as Pilate and Herod in our passage.

What gives power to accusations is the fault committed. In cases where there is no truth, accusations remain false. One of the reasons God wants us to lead a holy life is for us to be justified in the day the accuser of the brethren (Satan) decides to accuse us of any offence. The commands and precepts of God are to help us lead a faultless life. If we abide by these laws, Satan will not be able to bring us down. The best he can do is to falsely accuse us.

When men cannot understand the results that exude out of your life and cannot deny it either, they fight it, using the tool of falsehood and criticism. It is important for us to know at this point that persecution always thrives on false accusations, If we uphold the name of Christ, we will be persecuted and falsely accused.

God is the defender of those who are falsely accused, Sometimes you may not have enough words to explain yourself out of a false accusation. In that case, silence is needed. God uses our silence when we are falsely accused to work out His wisdom and eternal counsel. The last time you were falsely accused may not be the last if, indeed, you are following Jesus. They did it to Apostle Paul several times but they failed because God was with him. Men will occasionally misunderstand your actions and intentions and give it a bad or false name. Be rest assured that the Lord is aware of it and He is able to work things out for your good.

²⁵ Each man brought his present: articles of silver and gold, garments, armor, spices, horses, and mules, at a set rate year by year.
²⁶ And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen; he had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king at Jerusalem.
²⁷ The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedar trees as abundant as the sycamores which are in the lowland.

*THEME: _GODLY WISDOM ATTRACTS MEN_*

*THE MESSAGE*
Yesterday, we considered the futility of human wisdom, establishing the fact that true wisdom comes from the fear of the Lord. That is why we are going to see one of the benefits of godly wisdom today as the kind of wisdom that attracts men.

Solomon became king at a very tender age. God gave him a blank cheque, an opportunity to ask for whatever he wants and in the fear of the Lord and knowing the task of kingship before him, he asked for wisdom of God to rule over the great number of people. Then God decided to give Solomon exceeding wisdom (1 Kings 4:29-30).

The fame of his wisdom went round the whole world, such that the Queen of Sheba had to come all the way from her far country to prove the Wisdom of Solomon. In amazement, she confirmed that the Wisdom of Solomon was indeed great and she went ahead to publish it to the world (1 Kings 10:1ff).

The Wisdom of Solomon also attracted many people from every part of the earth to him and he used the opportunity to amass wealth for himself and the entire nation of Israel.

Godly wisdom attracts men. When you have godly wisdom in you, people around will surely come to you because they know that you will have solution to their problems.

Do you want to excel in your career and businesses? Do you want to soar higher and greater in life? Then you need godly wisdom. And knowing fully well that godly wisdom can only come from God, you have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Ask for wisdom from God, He shall give you generously and without reproaching (James 1:5). Don't be wise in your own eyes. Whoever seems to be wise in his/her own eyes, is the most foolish person in the world.

*HYMN: EMHB 504* _(8.8.8.8.8.8)_
1. Leave God to order all thy ways,
And hope in Him whate'er be tide;
Thou'lt find Him in the evil days
Thy all-sufficient strength and guide:
Who trusts in God's unchanginglove
Builds on the rock that nought can move.

2. Only thy restless heart keep still,
And wait in cheerful hope, content
To take whate'er His gracious will,
His all-discerning love, hath sent;
Nor doubt our inmost wants areknown
To Him who chose us for His own.

3. Sing, pray, and swerve not from His ways,
But do thine own part faithfully;
Trust His rich promises of grace,
So shall they be fulfilled in thee:
God never yet forsook at need
The soul that trusted Him indeed.

*MEMORY VERSE:*
1 Kings 10:24 "And the whole earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God has put into his mind."

*PRAYER:*
Jesus, the Wisdom of God, come and dwell in me so that I can have the discretion to rule my world and be successful in all my endeavours. Amen.
