WORD SESSION EXCERPT FOR OUR BIBLE STUDY (DISCIPLESHIP CLASS)

THE LIFE OF CHRIST

Jesus is the only way to salvation, which admits us into Eternal Life the very life of God. This is a great expression of God’s love towards man.

Eternal life is the nature of God that we receive when we believe in Christ. It is not just living forever, but receiving the very life of God.

The old life is dominated by sin, while the new life administered to us by Christ dominates sin, for “whatever is born of God overcomes the world” (1 John 5:4).

We are saved by the Lordship of Christ; therefore, our lives are committed to functioning according to His will and purpose.

By believing in and maintaining our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we escape condemnation and are relieved from its power.

Summary

The life of Christ is a new life received through faith in Jesus—a life that overcomes sin and is fully submitted to the will of God.
