There is something remarkable about the way Jesus saw this man.
When Nathanaelโtraditionally identified with ๐ฆ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐โapproached Him, Jesus said:
Think about that.
Jesus didn't begin by talking about Nathanael's achievements.
He spoke about his heart.
He saw something authentic in him.
No pretending.
No hidden agenda.
No need to impress.
And perhaps that's something you need to hear this Monday morning:
He sees the heart behind the work.
He sees the tears nobody noticed.
He sees the effort that received no applause.
He sees the prayers you could barely put into words.
He sees you.
And He doesn't love you because you had a perfect week.
He doesn't love you because you accomplished everything on your list.
But the example of ๐ฆ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐ต๐ผ๐น๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐ also challenges us:
Can Jesus find truth in us?
Can our private life match our public faith?
Can our words match our hearts?
Can we live without pretending before the God who already sees everything?
