But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1 vs7 As we try to please God and put our trust in his grace, he gives us more grace by putting us in touch with each other. Even though Jesus died "only once," its cleansing power lasts as long as our hearts are open to his grace and we want to follow in his footsteps. My PRAYERS. I appreciate the gift of Jesus and the purification his death brings, dear Father. Please assist me in leading a more devoted life today. I'm grateful for the assurance that, as I follow your will and live your life, you are also purifying, regenerating, and forgiving me of my sins. I offer these prayers of thanksgiving through the intercession of Jesus and in the power of his name. In Jesus's precious name I pray. Amen. A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Proverbs 12 vs 1 Why is it so hard to take criticism that isn't fair? Why do we always have to defend ourselves, even if the charge is stupid? Often, the problems we have with others get worse because we don't choose to forgive and let them move on in the Lord. Prayers. Dear and Holy God, guide me to speak more carefully to avoid the things you detest, especially rumors, slander, and innuendo. I'm grateful. In Jesus's precious name I pray. Amen.
