TOPIC: Revelation Comes from God

TEXT: Matthew 16:13-17
When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am? And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets. He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

KEY VERSE
“And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.” V.17

MESSAGE
God is always ready to reveal Himself to His children. He wants you to know Him not just by what people say, but by what He shows you personally. The truth is, deep things about God cannot be fully understood by human thinking alone. No matter how intelligent a person is, there are things only God can reveal. Yes, we learn from teachers and preachers but the deepest understanding comes from God Himself and that's why there are things your mind cannot figure out on its own.
No matter how much you think or try to understand, some truths will only become clear when God reveals them to you. That is why you must not rely only on your reasoning because God’s wisdom is higher, and when He opens your eyes, what looked confusing will suddenly make sense. Look at what happened when Jesus asked His disciples who they thought He was. Many had answers but it was only Peter who got it right. And Jesus made it clear that this did not come from flesh and blood but from God.
You can hear the Word often, but without revelation, it may not sink in. God wants to give you fresh understanding about Him, yourself, and your journey, but you must be willing to come to Him, not just to hear but to understand. Sometimes, what you need is not mere information but divine revelation because a revelation from God can totally transform you.

Sovereign Lord, open my eyes to know You more and guide me in truth, in Jesus name. Amen.

TOPIC: UNETHICAL PRAYER

TEXT: LUKE 9:51-54

And it came to pass, when the time was come that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem, and sent messengers before his face: and they went, and entered into a village of the Samaritans, to make ready for him. And they did not receive him, because his face was as though he would go to Jerusalem. And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?

KEY VERSE

“And when his disciples James and John saw this, they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did? -V.54.

MESSAGE

If God were man, the earth would have crumbled a long time ago, because many prayers are sometimes driven by anger, bitterness, and personal revenge. Such prayers can be manipulative, harmful, and destructive, and does not reflect the heart of God. Just as fishermen cast their nets into the sea and later separate the good fish from the bad, in like manner, God examines the intentions behind our prayers. He filters what is not in alignment with His will.

This is why Jesus taught us a pattern of prayer in Matthew 6:9–13, showing that prayer should be centered on God’s will, forgiveness, and dependence on Him. In the same passage of our text, Christ corrected His disciples, reminding them that He did not come to destroy lives, but to save them.

Our prayers should build the body of Christ, strengthen our faith, and draw others closer to God. Even when we are hurt, we must remember that God is the righteous Judge, and He alone knows the hearts of all men. Therefore, our prayers must reflect Christ’s nature filled with love, wisdom, and mercy. When we don’t know what to say, we should ask the Holy Spirit to guide us.

SUPPLICATION:

Almighty Father, guide my heart to pray according to Your will and help me align my desires with Yours, in Jesus name. Amen.

TOPIC: HE STILL COMES FOR YOU

TEXT: MATTHEW 18:12-14

How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.

KEY VERSE

“How think ye? If a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains and seeketh that which is gone astray?” Matthew 18:12

MESSAGE

You may feel abandoned but you are not forgotten. God is not wicked that He will forget His creation. He does not lose track of His children. Even in a crowd, He sees you. He knows when something is missing and when that something is you, He comes for you. You may see yourself as unworthy feeling like your past has disqualified you. You may even feel like people have moved on from you but God has not. He remembers you.

God values you. He still calls you His own and that's why the Bible says the shepherd had a hundred sheep, yet he noticed the one that was missing. That means your absence matters to God. He doesn’t say, “I still have others.” No, He comes after you. Not to condemn you, but to bring you back. Not to shame you, but to restore you. Even when people judge you by your past, God sees your future.

When others distance themselves, He draws closer. He doesn't come for you because you are perfect, but simply because you belong to Him. He comes to guide, protect, and help you find your way again. Sometimes, what you perceive as confusion is actually God redirecting your steps. What you perceive as a delay is often His way of keeping you from danger. Rest assured that He is actively present in your journey, even when you cannot feel it. You are never forgotten, because He still comes for you.

SUPPLICATION:

Lord, thank You for never giving up on me. Even when I feel lost, remind me that You are still with me. Help me to respond to Your call and draw closer to You, in Jesus name. Amen.

SPIRITUAL DAILY DIGEST

TOPIC: SEEK THE LORD 2

TEXT: ISAIAH 55:6–7

Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

KEY VERSE

"Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.” V.6

MESSAGE

The text further says, “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts.” God is concerned not only with our outward actions but also with our inward thoughts. Wrong thoughts produce wrong decisions, and wrong decisions lead to destruction. True repentance involves both an outward change in conduct and an inward transformation of the heart. Christianity is not merely about changing behavior; it is about genuine heart transformation through the power of God.

Sin creates a separation between man and God and hinders fellowship with Him. Yet God, in His mercy, does not say, “Fix yourself first.” Instead, He says, “Return unto the LORD.” Returning to God requires humility, surrender, and genuine repentance. No matter how far a person has gone in sin, the door of mercy is still open. God is always willing to forgive because His pardon is abundant, not limited or reluctant.

However, there is a time for everything according to Ecclesiastes 3:1. A time will come when grace will give way to judgment. After death, there will be no further opportunity for repentance. That is why today is the acceptable time to turn away from sin, amend our ways, and seek the Lord with all our hearts while His mercy is still available.

SUPPLICATION:

Lord Jesus, I have decided in my heart to follow You. Help me, O Lord, to remain steadfast in You and to seek You daily with a sincere heart, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

REFLECTION:

“For He says, "In an acceptable time I heard you, and in a day of salvation, I helped you;" Behold, now is the accepted time. Behold, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2

SPIRITUAL DAILY DIGEST

TOPIC: SEEK THE LORD 1

TEXT: ISAIAH 55:6–7

MESSAGE

One of the greatest dangers of the human heart is procrastination. Many people intend to seek God “someday,” but the Scripture reminds us that grace has a season. The text is both an invitation and a warning; an invitation to receive mercy and a warning against delaying repentance.

To seek God means to pursue Him intentionally, not casually or occasionally, but sincerely and wholeheartedly. Seeking God requires a deliberate decision, while calling upon Him requires humility and dependence. The phrase “while He may be found” teaches us that opportunities are not unlimited. God is near through His Word, His Spirit, and His mercy, but His nearness should never be taken for granted.

Have you been postponing your day of salvation because you presume you still have time? Have you been postponing the godly assignment given to you because you still want to gather worldly wealth? It is high-time you stopped procrastinating and give your time to God because you will eventually return to Him to give account of your lifetime.

Supplication:

Gracious God, thank you for this timely message. Strengthen my resolve to live a life that fulfills Your purpose, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection:

“Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, while the evil days do not come, nor the years draw near, when you shall say, I have no pleasure in them.” Ecclesiastes 12:1
