Elder Alice spoke bitterly on illed treatment some big churches are giving their members.
This she says; thank God, she called 'em out for repentance.

Title: A Witnessing Church

Moving from the Rat Race to the Rescue Mission

I. The Identity: A "Fold" with a Mission
A witnessing church isn't just a gathering of people; it’s a base of operations. Being part of the "total fold" means we are unified in our identity so that we can be effective in our testimony.

Unity as a Witness: Jesus said, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another" (John 13:35).
The Power of the Collective: A single ember dies out, but a fold of believers creates a fire that the world can see from a distance.

II. The Shift: Abandoning the "Rat Race"
The "rat race" is the pursuit of worldly status, wealth, and "getting ahead." A witnessing church cannot be effective if its members are distracted by the same vanities as the rest of the world.

Removing the Weights: To run the "track," we must strip off the distractions of the rat race. You cannot witness to the "sufficiency of Christ" if you are still frantically chasing the "sufficiency of money."

Redefining Success: In the rat race, success is being #1. In the witnessing church, success is being faithful to the message.

III. The Strategy: Staying on the Track
The "track" is the Great Commission. When the preacher says "be on the track as we run," it implies a specific direction and a shared pace.

Running with Purpose: A runner on a track has a destination. Our destination is the hearts of the unreached.

The Interdependent Relay: We need one another to witness. One person plants the seed, another waters it, but God gives the growth. We fulfill the plan only when we realize my "witness" is strengthened by your "intercession."

Key Summary Points
We Gather to Strengthen: We enter the fold to be equipped.
We Run to Reach: We leave the rat race to enter the race for souls.

We Witness to Transform: We don't just tell the story; we live the story together.

The Challenge
If the world looks at the church and sees us running the same "rat race" they are, fighting for power, stressed by competition, and isolated, they won't want what we have.
A Witnessing Church shows the world a "better way to run."
