GOODNEWS TODAY
SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 47 & 48
In todays passages, Joseph's Father and his family finally arrive in Egypt and present themselves before Pharaoh the king of Egypt.
But notice something in Genesis 47:10 KJV
"And Jacob blessed Pharaoh, and went out from before Pharaoh."
Jocab could bless Pharaoh because he was older than him and because he was a Prophet of God.
Every man, despite how high you've gone in life, needs someone to always speak blessings over you.
Joseph also understood this, and that was why he visited his father to bless him and his children.
Anyone who doesn't have a person declaring the blessing over him can not go very far.
As parents, we ought to be declaring the blessing over our children, but many parents end up rendering curses over their children, and that's the reason it doesn't get well with them.
When Joseph brought his sons before the father to be blessed, the father placed his right hand on the younger one and his left hand on the elderly though he couldn't see clearly.
But with his prophetic eyes he could see the younger being blessed than the elderly.
That is how God sometimes chooses people above others, not because of their age, qualifications, etc, but because they are God's choice.
I declare over your life that the uncommon favour of God will locate you and make you his choice, that favour will cause you to find favour with men wherever you go in the name of Jesus.

[15] And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, [16] The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth. [20] And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh. [22] Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.
