Some people drink soursop leaf tea because they believe it can help control hypertension and diabetes. Others take it because they believe it can help with weight control and maybe cancer treatment..

The question now is…

1. Does soursop leaf actually work for these conditions? 🤔
2. How should it be taken?
3. What are the possible side effects?
4. And who should NOT take it?

Let’s discuss based on evidence 👇🏾

1️⃣ First thing first…
Drinking soursop leaf tea is healthy because it has zero sugar, zero caffeine and contains a lot of plant compounds that can reduce the risk of many chronic diseases. But it is not everyone that should drink it, and it is not something you should drink every day.

2️⃣ Does it reduce high blood pressure?
Yes… soursop leaf contains alkaloids that relax the blood vessels and reduce blood pressure. Some of these alkaloids act as calcium channel blockers.

This is similar to how medications like amlodipine and nifedipine work.

And this is also a warning to those that have low blood pressure and those taking medications for hypertension to be careful with the quantity they consume.

3️⃣ Does it reduce blood sugar?
Yes… soursop leaves contain compounds that inhibit enzymes that convert starch into sugar.

So yes, it can reduce blood sugar levels, and this is equally a warning to people with low blood sugar levels and those taking medication for diabetes to be careful with the quantity they consume.

4️⃣ Does it help with weight loss?
There is no strong evidence that it helps with weight loss.

If you are planning to lose weight with herbs, guava leaf tea is much more effective than this.

5️⃣ Does it treat or prevent cancer?
Soursop leaf contains an extract that can kill cancerous cells when tested on rats.

Scientists are still researching to know if this can actually kill cancer cells in human beings too.

For now,,,I won’t advise anyone to rely totally on soursop leaf to treat cancer.

6️⃣ Does it have any side effects?
Soursop leaf contains an extract called acetogenins. This can cross into the brain and affect dopamine producing nerve cells.

This is why taking it continuously for a long time may increase the risk of Parkinsonism.

Soursop leaf can also cause low BP and low blood sugar levels. So some people may feel dizziness when they start taking it or when they take too much.

7️⃣ How to prepare it?
Get 5 to 7 fresh young leaves OR 1 to 2 tablespoons of dried, crushed leaves.

Add two cups (500 ml) of water and boil for 5 to 10 minutes.

You can add ginger, lemon or honey so it can taste better.

8️⃣ How to take it?
It is better to start small to know whether your body will tolerate it.

Start with 150 ml once a day, preferably after dinner. Don’t take it on an empty stomach. It can make some people sleep….thats why it is better after dinner

Some people take it 4 times in a week. But it can also be taken 1 week straight, then 1 week off.

Don’t take it every day continuously to avoid the side effects I mentioned earlier.

If you are pregnant, please avoid it.

When Mercy Speaks, Every Storm Must Be Silenced!
There are seasons when human strength is not enough, connections cannot help, and circumstances seem to stand against the fulfillment of God’s promises. But there is a dimension of divine intervention called MERCY.

“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning.”
- Lam. 3:22-23

GIVING THANKS FOR GOD'S MERCY
Text :- Psalm 107:1-20
“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”

Giving thanks is one of the greatest ways to acknowledge the goodness, faithfulness, and mercy of God. We are not alive today because we are stronger, wiser, or more righteous than others; it is the mercy of God that has preserved us.
Many battles we never saw, God fought for us. Many dangers we never knew about, God delivered us from. Many doors we could not open, His mercy opened them.
Therefore, every testimony of our lives should produce thanksgiving.
1. God's Mercy Is the Reason We Are Not Consumed. Lam. 3:22–23 says: “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning.”

Our survival is evidence of God's mercy. When we look back and consider where God brought us from, we have every reason to say, “Thank You, Jesus!”
The enemy may have planned destruction, but mercy preserved us.

2. God's Mercy Gives Us Another Opportunity - Psalm 130:3-4 says:
“If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.”

God's mercy means our past does not have the final word. When we fail, His mercy gives room for repentance, restoration, and a fresh beginning.
Therefore, we must never take God's mercy for granted.

3. Thanksgiving Should Be Our Response to Mercy - Psalm 103:2-4 declares:
“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits.”
David deliberately instructed his soul not to forget God's benefits.

There are benefits we must remember:
- He forgives our sins.
- He heals our diseases.
- He delivers our lives from destruction.
- He crowns us with lovingkindness and tender mercies. - Psalm 100:4 says:
“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise.”
Thanksgiving is therefore not merely an emotion; it is a spiritual response to God's goodness.

4. God's Mercy Can Turn Difficult Situations Around - Psalm 136:23-24 says:
“Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: And hath redeemed us from our enemies.”
When circumstances say “It is over,” God's mercy can say “There is still a future.”
When human beings reject you, God's mercy can raise helpers.
When a door appears permanently closed, God's mercy can make a way.
When your strength fails, His mercy can sustain you.
That is why we must learn to thank God before, during, and after the breakthrough.
Powerful Lessons
Never forget what God has done for you. - Psalm 103:2

Do not measure God's goodness only by your present circumstances.
Thank God for what you see and for what He prevented that you never saw.
Let thanksgiving become a lifestyle, not merely a response to miracles.
When you cannot explain God's goodness, thank Him for His mercy.

I pray:
In the name of Jesus, every mercy of God that has preserved your life shall continue to speak for you!

The mercy that kept you yesterday shall keep you today and tomorrow In Jesus Name. 🙏

The mercy that brought you this far shall take you further In Jesus Name. 🙏

Every good thing that appears impossible shall receive divine intervention now In Jesus Name. 🙏

You shall not be consumed; you shall testify! Where others have been rejected, may God's mercy distinguish you In Jesus Mighty Name.🙏

Where there is delay, may mercy bring divine acceleration. Where there is weakness, may mercy supply strength. Where there is barrenness, may mercy bring fruitfulness In Jesus Mighty Name.🙏

The mercy of God shall speak over your family, your career, your work, and your destiny, in Jesus' mighty name.

Beloved, we owe God thanksgiving. We may not have everything we desire, but we have countless reasons to thank Him.
Psalm 107:8 says:
“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!”

Today, look beyond what is missing and remember what God's mercy has done.
Lift your voice and say:
“LORD, I THANK YOU FOR YOUR MERCY!”
For His mercy has preserved us, sustained us, nnourished us, delivered us, and brought us this far.
To God alone be all the glory! 🙏🔥

Let us pray;
O Lord, thank You for Your unfailing mercy over our lives. We acknowledge that it is by Your mercy that we are not consumed. Let Your mercy continue to speak for us where our strength and ability cannot speak. Preserve our lives, establish the works of our hands, perfect everything concerning us, and give us greater reasons to testify of Your goodness. Let our lives continually bring glory to Your name. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

COVENANT OF MERCY BIBLE MINISTRY INTERNATIONAL (CMBM INT’L)

EBENEZER! JEHOVAH JIREH! MERCY HAS SPOKEN!
The story of the CMBM INT’L Auditorium is a story of faith, mercy, perseverance, divine provision, and God's unwavering faithfulness.
What began with a foundation on 12th November 2019 has reached a major milestone with the fulfillment of the roofing on 12th August 2026.
We may have encountered unfavorable conditions, but God was favorable toward us.
We may have faced limitations, but God had no limitation.
We may not have had everything at every moment, but God supplied what was needed at every stage. And when human strength was insufficient, God raised people.
Therefore, our testimony is simple and powerful:

Today, we return all the glory to the Almighty God.
We say: Ebenezer! “Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.” - 1Sam 7:12

The foundation was laid on 12th November 2019 and the roofing was fulfilled on 12th August 2026.
Approximately seven years journey, and through it all, God's mercy never failed.
We therefore declare:
JEHOVAH JIREH HAS PROVED HIMSELF!
He proved Himself in the provision. He proved Himself in the people He raised. He proved Himself in the resources supplied. He proved Himself in the strength He gave. He proved Himself in the preservation of the vision. He proved Himself in the midst of unfavorable circumstances. And He will prove Himself again until the entire project is completed, furnished, dedicated, and fully commissioned for His glory.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.” - Zech. 4:6

GOD IS STILL BUILDING
The completion of the roofing is not the end of the vision. Rather, it is another prophetic beginning and milestone in the fulfillment of the larger assignment.
The foundation was laid.
The walls have risen.
The roof has been fulfilled.
And we believe that the same God who has brought the project this far will perfect everything that remains.

“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it.” - Zechariah 4:9
This scripture beautifully captures the testimony: the hands that begin a God-ordained work can also finish it by God's grace.
Therefore, we look forward with faith and expectation to the full completion, dedication, and occupation of the auditorium for the advancement of God's kingdom.

"May this house become a place where souls are saved, lives are transformed, families are restored, destinies are awakened, the Word of God is preached, prayers are answered, and the presence of God is gloriously experienced In Jesus Mighty Name." 🙏🔥🔥

One day, people will look at this auditorium and see a completed structure. But those who know the story will see something much greater.

They will see:
A monument of God's faithfulness.
A testimony of divine provision.
A witness to the power of perseverance.
A memorial of sacrificial giving.
A demonstration that unfavorable circumstances cannot stop a God-ordained purpose.
A testimony that Jehovah Jireh is still alive and faithful.

"May everyone who enters this auditorium remember that God can accomplish His purpose through imperfect circumstances, limited resources, and ordinary people who are willing to obey Him In Jesus Mighty Name. 🙏🔥🔥

MERCY THAT SUSTAINED THE WORK
The name Covenant Of Mercy Bible Ministry International itself carries a powerful testimony.
Mercy has been evident throughout this journey.
It was mercy that preserved the vision.
It was mercy that sustained the ministry.
It was mercy that kept the project alive.
It was mercy that raised helpers.
It was mercy that provided resources.
It was mercy that brought the project to this milestone.

“It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” - Lam. 3:22–23
The testimony therefore is not, “We were strong enough.”
The testimony is: “THE MERCIES OF THE LORD HAVE BROUGHT US THIS FAR!”

SEVEN YEARS OF MERCY AND STILL COUNTING
Seven years is not merely a measurement of time in this testimony; it represents perseverance under divine mercy.
From 12th November 2019 to 12th August 2026, the journey reminds us that God's timetable may not always look like our timetable, but His faithfulness never expires.
There were pauses, but there was no abandonment.
There were delays, but there was no cancellation.
There were challenges, but there was no defeat.
There were seasons of waiting, but God's purpose remained alive.

“Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” - Hab. 2:3
The roof now stands as a physical testimony that waiting on God is never wasted.
