FRIENDSHIP WITH THE OPPOSITE S*X (INTRODUCTION)

The issue of maintaining a truly platonic (non-s*xual) relationship with a friend who is of the opposite s*x has been a major concern for young people.

You met a girl or a guy in your Youth Fellowship group or in your local church who probably was visiting for the first time, and you get talking, both online and offline; she is such a good girl or guy with a great personality. You really want to be close to the person as a good friend.

If you’ve decided not to play the dating game as a Christian and suspend romance till you are married (of course, you should do that), the only logical thing to do is for the two of you to be friends with no strings attached.

Lots of young people actually want to keep a plain, pure, non-s*xual relationship with members of the opposite s*x but often discover that they have been crossing the line of true friendship into romance (consciously or unconsciously). Sometimes they struggle not to show any sign of romance but suffer from internal conflicts over taming their s*xual desires, which make them ma******te at the thought of this special friend.

So the question is, how do you maintain a pure, platonic relationship with an opposite-s*x friend without unnecessary touching, s*xual desires or romance?

Always know that there is actually a thin line between just being friends and playing the dating game! (I will post about Games Singles Play soon on this page)

Running away out of fear from all members of the opposite s*x or dating everyone that gets attracted to you are two dangerous extremes! So there must be a balance!

Where is the line between friendship and more than friendship? Sometimes, the intention is just to be true friends with no defilement of your bodies, but before you know it, things have gone wild, and you are both in the romantic zone!

Do you become jealous when you see your “special” friend with another person? If your answer is yes, obviously, the relationship is already more than just being friends; it's now something else because you can’t prevent your friends from getting more friends.

The following tips (9 Tips) will help you maintain a clean and pure relationship with an opposite-s*x friend.

TOPIC:TIME OF OPPORTUNITY PART 1
TEXT: ECCL. 3:1-8
Key verse: "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" Ecclesiastes 3:1

Opportunity is the time, and the Time is Opportunity. These two things are interwoven, because opportunity only come within the range of time, and the period when opportunity arrive is called time. Opportunity manifest within the range of time.
What is Opportunity?
Opportunity is a time of circumstances that makes things possible or happened.
Opportunity is a grace or chance that someone has in achieving something, and fulfilling purposes.
When the set time comes and once couldn't make use of it, it may likely not to be regained. That's why an adage says "once opportunity lost can never be regained" because it's not all opportunity that can be regained!
Let's look at some examples of people that miss-used their opportunity:

THOSE THAT MISS USED THEIR OPPORTUNITY
1. Adam and Eve. Gen. 3:1-6. By their disobedient and the ruling over the instructions given by God, they failed the test of time and missed their opportunity. They would have lived all their lives without any stress.

2. Prodigal Son: Luk. 15:11-16; 25-31, though he later repented but missed his life heritage from his father. He was celebrated indeed but couldn't get what he has wasted away.

3. Rich Man: Luke 16:19-31. It was too late for him before he later realize that his time spent on earth was nothing but vanity which he thought he was enjoying himself.

My brethren, if you are in any of this state, please here is your time of opportunity that God in His mercy has brought to you again, retrace your ways, repent from all your errors, and ask God for Forgiveness, and decide to have a change of heart and you will be saved and all your lost glory shall be restored back to you.
The Lord is ABLE, Halleluyah!!!!
