"Illumination never comes to a person incapable of understanding it or appreciating its significance.

It is not unusual for people to go to a teacher of the "Occult Sciences" to have their psychic experiences diagnosed and interpreted.

One will say, such and such a thing happened to me, was it initiation?

Another will say, I saw some funny lights last night, am I illuminated?

One rule that all can depend upon is that no one will be illuminated or initiated without knowing it. The reason is evident no one can be initiated until he has reached a state of development in which he is perfectly qualified to decide for himself the significance of his mystical experiences.

A person who does not know whether he is illuminated or not very evidently is not, for illumination itself could scarcely fail to clarify this problem for him."

Omnisophy and The Omnist Society

Omnisophy is a way of seeing, living, and becoming whole.

The word comes from the Latin "Omni" (all) and the Greek "Sophia" (wisdom). It means the Wisdom that recognises the Unity of all existence, across cultures, religions, art, sciences, philosophies, and lived human experience.

Omnisophy does not ask you to abandon your faith or worldview. Instead, it invites you to look deeper, beyond labels, toward The One Source from which all truth, meaning, and life flow.

At its core, Omnisophy affirms a simple but profound truth, and it is that "All life shares a single Source, a single essence, and a single destiny", what we call The Law of One.

From this understanding arises a Spirituality that is not rooted in fear or division, but in Light, Wisdom, and Love.

The Core Principles of Omnisophy

1. The Law of One

All beings are expressions of One Reality. Separation is experiential, not ultimate. What we do to another, we do to ourselves.

2. Unity Without Uniformity

Truth wears many garments. Omnisophy honours Christianity, Islam, African Traditional Religions, Eastern paths, philosophy, science, art and secular wisdom, without collapsing them into sameness or ranking them in superiority.

3. The Inner Light

Every human being carries an inner faculty of knowing: the operation of conscience, intuition, and insight. Omnisophy trains people to listen inwardly with discernment, not blind belief.

4. Discernment Without Division

Not all ideas are equally wise, but disagreement does not require hostility. Omnisophy rejects dogma, not people.

5. Ethical Living as Spiritual Practice

Spirituality is not escape, it is embodiment. Righteousness, integrity, compassion, service, humility, beauty, and responsibility are non-negotiable virtues.

6. Spiritual Growth as Remembrance

Enlightenment is not becoming something new; it is remembering what we already are beneath fear, social conditioning, and fragmentation.

“Through the process of our spiritual awakening we come to see that underneath the veil of outer appearances that divide us (me vs other, us vs them, race, gender, class, culture, politics, tradition, religion, etc.); we are all one, unbroken field of universal consciousness.”

In our Society, people of many paths and perspectives are welcomed. Christians, Muslims, followers of African Traditional Religions, Buddhists, Hindus, and adherents of other spiritual paths are invited to explore Omnisophy without pressure to renounce their faith. Likewise, atheists, agnostics, and those who do not identify with any religious system are equally welcome, for Omnisophy recognises that sincerity of inquiry and ethical responsibility are not confined to religious language. What unites Omnists is not uniform belief, but a shared willingness to explore unity, meaning, and wisdom wherever they may be found.

White God, Black Devil

The idea of heaven as a place where a white God sits in the sky, while a black or brown devil with horns burns in hell, is one of the most profound insults and acts of dehumanisation inflicted upon Black people through European religious narratives. This imagery, promoted largely through European Christianity and reinforced within other Abrahamic traditions, has subtly but deeply shaped the African psyche over generations.

If Satan was once an angel, as Christian doctrine claims, why is he consistently portrayed as black? Did he change colour? Or is this portrayal simply a projection, one designed to associate darkness with evil and whiteness with divinity?

The traditional concepts of “Heaven” and “Hell” function less as spiritual truths and more as ideological tools. They are constructs used to suppress consciousness, resistance, and self-determination, particularly among Africans.

There is no white God seated in the sky, just as there is no horned devil ruling an underground inferno. What kind of benevolent deity would sit idly above a world engulfed in chaos and injustice, watching without intervention? And is it not revealing that the same Europeans who introduced Africans to doctrines of heaven and hell would arrest someone for openly preaching about God on the streets of London?

The very people who brought the Bible and preached a gospel of “vanity” are relentless in extracting Africa’s wealth to enrich themselves. Why are Africa’s gold, copper, diamonds, uranium, cobalt, limestone, crude oil, and countless other resources not considered “vanity” to them? Why are wars engineered among African nations, creating instability that allows foreign powers to step in, loot resources, and build their own version of heaven here on earth?

Meanwhile, churches across Europe are being converted into bars, hotels, museums, and entertainment spaces. Where, then, is their longing for heaven? Where is their urgency to dwell with the God they once insisted Africans must obsess over?

The image many African children grew up seeing in Christian homes, that is often said to depict the biblical battle between the angel Michael and Lucifer, plays a critical role in this conditioning. In it, angels are white, radiant, and divine, while the devil is dark-skinned, grotesque, and bears features resembling the African man. Unconsciously, the African child is taught that goodness is white and evil is black.

Such imagery reinforces the idea that Africans are inherently flawed or sinful, subtly justifying the violence, exploitation, and cruelty inflicted upon them by those who resemble the so-called “God and His angels”. When you go deep into the psychological harm that this narrative has caused the average African, then it is easy to see where the problem of the modern black man lies.

When Religion Tires the Soul

For many people, the spiritual tiredness they carry inside them is not a loss of faith, but a quiet exhaustion of the Soul. Religious rituals remain. The language is familiar. Yet something within feels tensed, overburdened, or unheard. This fatigue is often misunderstood, by others and by ourselves, as rebellion or spiritual failure.

But spiritual fatigue is not rebellion. It is a call for renewal.

Religion, at its best, offers meaning, structure, and moral grounding. Yet when religious practices becomes heavy without spiritual nourishment, when fear replaces trust, or when questions are silenced rather than welcomed, the Soul grows tired. Not because it has rejected the sacred, but because it longs to encounter it more deeply. The Soul desires to go beyond mere beliefs into an encounter with Truth, meeting with reality as it is.

This is why the Message of Omnisophy was birthed.

The Hall of Light exists as a space for such moments to encounter Truth. It does not ask anyone to abandon their faith or defend their beliefs. It offers stillness where there has been tension; it calls everyone to listening where there has been noise, and to make time for reflection where there has been pressure.

In the Hall of Light, the Soul is allowed to breathe again. It is not told to escape religion, but to rest within the deeper current of spirituality that gave rise to religion.

If you feel tired, you are not faithless. You are listening to the motion of your own being. And listening is often the first step toward renewal.

We invite you to commune with us in the Hall of Light of The Omnist Society, an all-inclusive spirituality community attracting people of all faiths and spiritual paths to dine at Wisdom’s Table.
