Bishop Odedeji tasks Women to Embrace Purpose, Strengthen Homes Through Faith and Commitment
Women have been encouraged to uphold strong moral values, remain committed to their families, and embrace purposeful living as key pillars for building successful homes and a better society.
The Bishop of the Diocese of Lagos West, Anglican Communion, the Right Reverend, James Olusola Odedeji made the call during this year's Mothers Union Enrollment held on Sunday at Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral Church, Ikeja.
Speaking on the theme Who is on the Lord's Side, the Bishop emphasized the importance of faith, diligence, and intentional decision-making in marriage and motherhood.
Drawing inspiration from the life of Ruth, he reminded the women that making the right choices can transform lives and destinies, highlighting
Ruth’s loyalty, resilience, and faith in God as timeless virtues every woman should emulate.
Quoting from the Book of Proverbs Chapter 31, Bishop Odedeji also encouraged Women to be industrious, contribute meaningfully to their households, and uphold integrity in all areas of life, advising them not to be discouraged by difficult beginnings but to see every stage of life as an opportunity for growth.
About 450 women were enrolled into the mothers Union by the Bishop.
Other side attractions include prophetic prayers, Thanksgiving, presentation of gifts to best performing Archdeaconries in terms of revenue generation and population.
