Moment of Realities
Topic -: The Bible, My trust and My expression. Pt7
Thursday, April 9th.
Apostle O. Isaac

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness (2 Corinthians 3:16).

The absolute nature of the word of God is what makes the word of God dependable. We ought to approach God's word with an unwavering confidence. In today's teaching, we shall be considering the absolute nature of John 14:6. John 14:6 says, Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." The above verse of scripture is a scripture that reinstates the sovereignty of Jesus Christ. Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and the life. The words of Jesus in John 14:6 show the limitations of every other religion on the earth.

There is no religious founder or leader that could make such an audacious statement. The expression in John 14:6 is not subject to human validation. The graciousness of God is convened in this singular expression of Jesus in John 14:6. For this course, we are going to investigate the expression as recorded in the above verse of scripture. What does it mean for Jesus to be the way, the truth and the life? Firstly, we must take note of the use of a definite article in expressing who Jesus Christ actually is. The scripture said: Jesus Christ is the way.

Jesus Christ is not a way. Jesus Christ is not one of the ways to God. Jesus Christ is the only way to God. No way to God except me connotes no other way to God. But apostle, what about people calling on God aside Jesus Christ. It's key to know that, you can't call on someone that you don't know. Romans 10:13-14 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?"

Salvation is open to whosoever that calls on the name of the Lord. But here is the criteria for salvation. No one can call on whom they don't know. To call on the Lord for salvation, we must first know the Lord. To know the Lord, we must first hear about the Lord and believe the message that we heard about the lord. You can see that, calling on the name of the Lord for salvation begins with believing the heard message about the Lord. Now, the Lord is instructing us that He(Jesus) is the way to God. There is no other way except Jesus Christ to God.

We must accept the declaration of Jesus Christ as the only way to God as absolute. We can't believe multiple ways to God and be effective witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This is where we need to evaluate our value system on the authority of the book called the Bible. The Bible is more than just a book with paper and ink. The Bible is the revelation of the intent and desire of God for man. Our value system on the Bible must be absolute.

Scriptures for meditation for today: Acts 4:12 and Romans 8:11.

PRAYER

Precious father, I am grateful for the insight of your word to me. My life is Christ centered. I grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. I declare that my voice is amplified for the interest of God's kingdom. I can do what the word of God said I can do. Amen.

Moment of Realities
Topic -: The Bible, my trust and My expression. Pt2
Saturday, April 4th.
Apostle O. Isaac

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh (Galatians 5:16).

The beauty of Christianity is wrapped in the basic Christian culture. Yes, there is a basic Christian culture that everyone that decides to be serious with God ought to know and walk in. In christianity, the culture of heaven is the most vital reality for the believer in Christ. In the course of this month's teaching series, we shall explore the basic culture of Christianity. Acts 2:42 says, "And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." Take note of what is said in the above verse of scripture. The believers in Christ continued in the apostles doctrine, fellowship and breaking of bread.

There is a culture in Christ that amounts to spiritual growth. Meaning, there is no spiritually strong believer in Christ who is not deeply engaged in the basic Christian practice. While meditating on the series to discuss this month, I heard in my spirit to go back to the basis of Christianity. But in reality, I didn't know how to tag the series this month. But while listening to the teaching of my mentor, the tag for this month formed in my heart. We are looking at the series of this month on the tag: "The Bible, My trust and My expression". God wants us to get back to basic Christian practice.

The first thing to consider in our series of this month is the reality of the book called the Bible. What is the Holy Bible? To different groups, the Bible means different things. The holy Bible is seen by different groups in different ideology. What the Bible means to different groups is not so much of concern but what does the Bible mean to you that believe in Jesus Christ? Some approach the Bible with the mindset that the Bible is a well structured story book. Yes, we have a series of stories in the Bible but in actual reality, the Bible is not a well structured story book.

The Holy Bible is more than a story book. When the Bible is received as a story book, at best; moral lessons will be learnt from the Bible. It's important to know that, Story books feature core narrative elements that build an engaging, structured, and imaginative experience. It's key to know that, the Bible is not an imaginative experience. 2 Peter 1:21 says, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost."

The Holy Bible is not according to men's will. In fact, the will of men couldn't have been able to bring about the truth contained in the Bible. The best imaginative minds could never have thought of the reality contained in the Holy Bible. This tell us that the Bible is more than a story book. We also have some other groups that approach the Bible as well organized book of history. Yes, in the Bible, we have some historic events scripted. But don't be confuse, the Bible is more than an historic book. The writing of the Bible is called prophecy. As we progress in the teaching series of this month, we shall explore vital truth as related to the basic Christian culture.

Scriptures for meditation for today: John 8:32 and Philemon 1:6.

PRAYER

Precious father, My heart is ready to know the truth of your word as revealed in Christ. I declare that, light upon light from God's word floods my heart all through this month. I live in obedient to the word of God. I make progress by the word of God. I navigate life with God's word. I rule in my sphere of influence with God's word. Amen.

Moment of Realities
Topic -: Holiness. Pt15
Tuesday, March 17th.
Apostle O. Isaac

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

The moment the fellow in Christ begins to engage his daily activities with the word of God, outwardly the character of God will be reflected. The process of reflecting the character God is what the scripture described to be holiness unto God. In this kingdom, we live to showcase the character of God. Meaning the believer should never be bothered about self image. This will lead us into considering the second reason why every believer in Christ must live in holiness unto God. The second reason for holiness unto God is that, in holiness we reflect God's character to the world. Holiness is designed to showcase God's character to the world.

It's important to know that, we can only reflect the aspect of God that we have contact with. Meaning, in reflecting the character of God, the knowledge of God is so vital. 2 Peter 1:2 says, "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord." The knowledge of God is the most important aspect of our walk with God. This shows us the reason why we are instructed to study the scriptures properly. We can't afford to continue in the error of the fathers in faith in their misrepresentation of the person of God. We must learn the sound truth about God and stay on the path of sound truth.

Jude 1:11 says, "Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core." There is a way associated with Cain and there is an error associated with Balaam. We are warned not to go in the way of Cain, nor to walk in the error of Balaam. In reflecting the character of God to the world, we must take cognizant of the aspect of God that we are reflecting. It's needed to have accurate knowledge about the aspect of God that we are reflecting to the people of the world.

The obvious fact is that, the things we know about God can be taught and explained to other believers. The way we expand the influence of God's kingdom on the earth is by committing what we know about God to other believers in the form of sound teaching/preaching. 2 Timothy 2:2 says, "And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." You can see the simple instructions from the above verse of scripture to all believers. We live to continuously learn about God and also teach about God to others. When we break the flow of learning and teaching, selfishness steps into our consciousness. The obvious truth is that, a selfish believer can't truly reflect the character of God to the people of the world.

This is why, we have a great number of believers in Christ that are not reflecting the character of God to the people in their sphere of influence. The scripture said that, without holiness, no one can see the Lord. Holiness is key to our faithfulness in the faith of Jesus Christ. To claim to believe in Jesus and have no willingness to live in holiness becomes a mere claim. It's not so much about what we claim to believe but what we constantly reflect that matter. In holiness, we reflect the character of God. 2 Peter 1:8-9 says, "For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins."

Scriptures for meditation for today: Romans 8:28 and Psalms 23:1-6.

PRAYER

I journey in the path of the light of God's word continually. My life is reflecting the goodness and kindness of God in every place. I make stress free progress as I journey in this world. My life is beautiful. I declare that the gospel of Christ prosper in my hand. Amen.

Moment of Realities
Topic -: Holiness. Pt13
Saturday, March 14th.
Apostle O. Isaac

Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).

2 Timothy 2:20-21 says, "In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. If you keep yourself pure, you will be a utensil God can use for his purpose. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work." There are two facts that I want to bring to your consciousness from the above verses of scripture. The first one is that, God has a purpose for everyone he created. Ephesians 1:10 says, "That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him."

The eternal counsel of God before he created the heavens and the earth is that, everything in heaven and on earth will be united as one in Christ. Meaning, Christ will be the full expression of everything that is created. Irrespective of the fall of Adam in the beginning, the plan of God is sure. To this end, the scripture says in 2 Corinthians 5:19: "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation."

God in Christ is bringing back everyone that fell short of God's glory in the fall of the first Adam. To this end, those who received the message of reconciliation are given a ministry to take the same message of reconciliation to the unsaved. Everyone in Christ is given this ministry of reconciling unsaved men and women back to God. It's important to know that the same message is given to us in carrying out the ministry of reconciliation. There is no such thing as an individual message to the unsaved. There is no such thing as an individual order of ministry.

The ministry that everyone is called into is called the ministry of reconciliation. It doesn't matter if one is a prophet, teacher, pastor, apostle or evangelist. Everyone in Christ is given the ministry of reconciliation and more importantly, everyone in Christ is given the same message called the message of reconciliation. Here is the simple test to know if a minister is representing the interest of God's kingdom or self representation. The message of the minister is the actual reality of who the minister is representing.

This will lead us to the second fact from 2 Timothy 2:20-21. God wants the believer in Christ to live pure. Meaning, God wants the believer in Christ to live in holiness. The believer can only be effective in carrying out the ministry of reconciliation when such believers live in holiness. We are not talking about the believer manifesting the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Take note: the manifestation of signs and wonders are not the proof of an effective or ineffective ministry for the believer. Holy living is what makes the believer to be effective in carrying out the ministry of reconciliation. You can see why the scripture said that, by their fruits we shall know them. It's not by their gifts but by their fruits. Holy living is effective living for God's interest.

Scriptures for meditation for today: Romans 15:5 and Galatians 3:13.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus, I am grateful for the truth of your word today. I possess my vessel for your use in the name of Jesus. I grow in the knowledge of Jesus and I walk in the power of the Holy Ghost. I declare the peace of God over my mind. I walk in peace. Peace is one with me. Amen.

Moment of Realities
Topic -: So great salvation. Pt11
Tuesday, May 13th.
Apostle O. Isaac

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him (Hebrews 2:3).

In reading literally, through the story of Joseph in the book of Genesis; we can only see a very nice story, of how Joseph moved from Zero to hero. But symbolically, the life of Joseph points forward to a reality in Jesus Christ. The life experience of Joseph was used to forthtell a reality about Jesus Christ. God raised Joseph and caused him to be sold for twenty pieces of silver to Egypt. It was years down the line that we came into the realization of why, God caused Joseph to be sold to Egypt. God brought Joseph into Egypt for two reasons. The first reason is that, God brought Joseph to Egypt ahead of time to save the brethren of Joseph and also to save the Egyptians from seven years of famine. And the second reason why God brought Joseph to Egypt is to fulfill what he told Abraham, about how Abraham’s descendants will become slaves in a foreign land for four hundred years.

Genesis 15:12-14 says, "And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him. And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance." The second reason why Joseph was sent to Egypt is pivotal to the eternal counsel of God, which God proposed in himself before heaven and earth were created.

In like manner, God brought Jesus into the world through the Jewish lineage, in order to redeem Israel from the curse of the Law of Moses and save the whole of humanity from the bo***ge of sin and death. Jesus was sold for thirty pieces of silver by his own disciple to the Roman soldiers to be crucified. In like manner, Joseph was sold for 20 pieces of silver by his brothers to be killed by others. These things were written aforehand, so that in the face of Christ we can relate properly with the stories in the Old testament part of the Bible.

Joseph was exalted to the right hand of Pharaoh as a result of interpreting the dream of Pharaoh. In like manner, Jesus was exalted to the right hand of God when he rose from the dead and ascended to heaven, having gone through suffering for the sake of humanity. These things are not just coincidence. It is the prophetic form used to communicate realities beyond our mental comprehension. The Holy Spirit didn’t inspire the stories in the Old Testament to be written down for us for historical purposes only. God used what our minds can comprehend to communicate his plan of salvation to us.

Luke 1:76-77 says, "And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;
To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins." Every prophet in the Old testament part of the Bible except John the Baptist spoke about the different aspects of the salvation plan in Christ Jesus. But John the Baptist was given the assignment to identify the Messiah and point him out to the Jews. John 1:45 says, "Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."

Scriptures for meditation for today: Philimon 1:6 and Colossians 1:27.

PRAYER

I'm begotten of God. I'm born again of the Holy Spirit. For this course, I live above the dictation of time and space. Time is for my advantage. The events of my life are in accordance to the perfect will of God for my life. I grow in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. I make significant progress in this year. Amen.

Moment of Realities
Topic -: So great salvation. Pt10
Monday, May 12th.
Apostle O. Isaac

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him (Hebrews 2:3).

Isaac, the son of Abraham is also a type of the salvation plan of God. Galatians 4:22-24 says, “For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he [who was] of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman [was] by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bo***ge, which is Agar.” Abraham saw the promised seed of a son that will come from his lineage as Jesus and he believed. For this course, the birth of Isaac was a token to Abraham that the actual promised seed will also come.

The above verses of scripture made us know that, the birth of Ishmael and that of Isaac is an allegory, which represents the Law and the promise (salvation through Christ). Right before the twelve tribes of Israel came into existence, God showed us a prototype of the Old covenant and the new covenant with Isaac and Ishmael. When the story of Abraham is read in Genesis, on how he got Isaac and Ishmael, people often see delay and mistake respectively. But in the plan of God, Abraham’s experiences were the unveiling of a prototype of the both covenants. God can never be late in his work and God can never make mistakes.

It was in regard to accurate bible interpretation, which is why God separated Apostle Paul for three years after his conversion, to look into the books of the Old Testament. It is through Paul’s epistles that we begin to understand the eternal counsel of God, which God prototyped with different men in different generations from Genesis to Malachi. In a demonstration of how God intended to save the whole of humanity from sin, by delivering his first begotten son to die on the cross, God told Abraham to offer his son – Isaac as a sacrifice.

We need to come in terms with the fact that, the birth of Isaac was the working of God’s supernatural ability. Abraham at hundred years and Sarah at ninety years, both of them were properly dead in their bodies. Both of them have no more sexual desire. But the quickening power of God quickened their bodies and gave them sexual desire at such old age and they brought forth Isaac. The birth of Isaac was an act of God's supernatural power. In the same light, the virgin conception of Jesus Christ is an act of God's supernatural power.

There is no story or event in the Old testament part of the Bible that doesn't point to the salvation plan of God. Romans 16:25 says, "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began." The salvation plan of God was kept as mystery in the Old testament part of the Bible, being communicated with stories, events and ordinances. Ephesians 3:3 says, "How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words."

Scriptures for meditation for today: Galatians 3:10 and John 15:9.

PRAYER

I'm redeemed unto my God a king and a priest. I reign over the affair of the things of this world. I legislate my authority as king over all negative situations in my life and in my sphere of influence. I give expression to eternal life in Jesus name.. Amen.

Saturday, May 10th.
Apostle O. Isaac

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him (Hebrews 2:3).

Adam – A type of Jesus Christ. Adam is a type of Jesus Christ. Adam is considered to be the first father of the human race. If you should walk into Adam in the Garden of Eden and hug Adam, you would have hugged the entire human race. God included the whole of humanity in Adam right in the beginning. Right in the Garden of Eden, Adam wasn’t living for himself. Adam was the carrier of the whole of humanity. Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by one man, sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.” The above verse of scripture helps us to know how sin entered into the world.

The intent of God from the foundation of the earth is that, all things; both animate and inanimate will come under the government of Christ. It is for this course that the Scripture evidently shows us that the first Adam is a type of Christ. The first Adam represents the whole of humanity. In the same way, the second Adam (Jesus Christ) represents the whole of humanity. Take note, the first Adam is not a representation of God but a type of Jesus Christ. When God wanted to raise a bride for the first Adam, God put the first Adam to sleep. In the same light, God allowed Jesus to be killed in order to raise a bride- the church for Jesus Christ.

The events, the ordinances and the stories in the Old testament were allegory of the great salvation plan of God. Galatians 4:21-24 says, "Tell me, ye that desire to be under the law, do ye not hear the law? For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman. But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bo***ge, which is Agar.

Long before the Old and the New covenant came into operation, God in what looked like Abraham's mistake was passing a message of God's intended salvation program for humanity. Space will not permit me to highlight every story in the Old testament and show you the corresponding reality of the salvation plan of God for man. But we shall look at a few of the stories that space within these series can take. The whole intent is that, when you pick your Bible to read the Old testament part again; you should be able to see the Christ connection to what you read.

1st Corinthians 15:45 says, “And so it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam [was made] a quickening spirit.” Sin and death came through the first Adam but eternal life came through the second Adam – Jesus Christ. The cross of Christ is the key to understanding God’s plan of salvation; that was concealed in the Old testament. Christ life is the actual kind of life, which God intended for all men on this earth from the foundation of the earth. The intent of God is that, man will grow via revelation knowledge of Christ from human kind of life into the God kind of life. It is this reality that Apostle Paul refers to as the eternal counsel of God. Ensure you follow me closely as we continue unveiling the great salvation of God.

Scriptures for meditation for today: Acts 1:8 and Matthew 5:14.

PRAYER

The goodness of God is common in my life. In every place, I manifest the graciousness of God. Nothing is failing in my hand. Nothing can go wrong in my hand. I'm called and ordained to do exploits with the life of Christ that resides in me. For this course, I manifest the divine nature of Christ with ease in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thursday, May 8th.
Apostle O. Isaac

How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him (Hebrews 2:3).

It’s very difficult to interpret the prophetic message of each of the Old Testament books by reading book by book or chapter after chapter. The events that constitute the plan of salvation were not prophesied book by book or chapter after chapter in the Old Testament section of the Bible. The prophesied events that constitute the plan of salvation are scattered all through the books of the Old Testament. This is why; the bible happens to be the most interesting piece of literature, ever put together in the history of man on earth. There is no book in the entire world that accurately talked about the events of the past, present and future. This is why; the bible is the most referred book in the history of man on earth.

Genesis 3:15 says, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” The above verse of scripture is a prophetic declaration of the virgin birth of Jesus Christ. It is vital to take note of the fact that, every prophetic verse in the bible can only be interpreted accurately from other prophetic verses. This is what Apostle Peter meant when he said: no prophecy of the bible has separate interpretation. There is no verse of scripture that has a standalone interpretation. The interpretation of any verse of the scripture is not through dreams and visions. The interpretation of any verse of the scripture is in another verse of the scripture.

The writings of the bible is inspired in such way that each writer of the books of the bible wouldn’t have a full understanding of what they wrote about. It is when all of the books of the bible are studied, that we are able to understand how every part of the writings of the bible is linked to one another. The Old Testament writings can be viewed as pieces of puzzle scattered all across every book of the Old Testament. In the Old Testament, the things we can relate with were used to communicate truth that our senses can never comprehend. It is the fulfillment of the hidden truth contained in the stories of the Old Testament that helps us to understand the writings of the Old Testament.

The life of Jesus Christ from birth to ascension rearranged what seemed like a puzzle in the Old testament writings. As Jesus was living his daily life in his earth walk, he will do something that resonates with what was said somewhere in the Old testament. And the people in Jesus' day will realize that what was prophesied has been fulfilled in their time. Matthew 2:5 says,
"And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet." Luke 18:31 says, "Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished."

At a point, John the Baptist has his doubt if Jesus Christ is actually the Messiah. And here is the reply of Jesus through John's disciples.
Luke 7:22 says, "Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached." John the Baptist was fully aware of what the scriptures said about the work that the Messiah will do when he comes on the scene. In the course of these series, we shall do a contrast between what was prophesied and where it was fulfilled as concerning the great salvation that God offers to humanity.

Scriptures for meditation for today: Luke 24:25-27 and John 5:39.

PRAYER

Father in the name of Jesus, I receive wisdom to explain the scriptures with simplicity. Anytime I open the Bible to read, I ask that the understanding of the Bible is open to me. I make progress spiritually, physically, socially and financially. Amen.
