*GREETINGS OF PEACE TO THE CATHOLIC YOUTHS OF IJEDE DEANERY*

Today, the church has given us a unique opportunity to pray and reflect on the life of saint CHARLES L'WANGA AND HIS COMPANION, THE MARTYRS OF UGANDA, our patron saints. This is to enable us build the bound of admiration for the life they lived and imitate it for the renewal of our Christian calling.

The feast of Saint Charles L'wanga and companion is yet another opportunity to renew our call, stand by what is right and witness to our faith especially in a corrupt and wounded world of vice.

St Charles L'wanga and Companion of Uganda, young though they were, had the convictions that couldn't be tempered by the threat of death or punishment, the persuasion of family or society, worldly rewards or treasures. They were youths with positive conviction of their calling, witnesses to the simple truth that they received.

So too we are called, to demonstrate with total conviction our commitment to what we represent, and there could be no better time to respond to this call than now.
