*TOPIC: IMMACULATE DELIGHT*
*TEXT:*
- Psalm 1:2: "But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night."
- John 14:15: "If ye love me, keep my commandments."
- John 14:21: "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him."
- John 15:10: "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
*INTRODUCTION:*
Many people treat the Bible like a cafeteria where they can pick the 'Grace' of the New Testament and throw away the 'Law' of the Old Testament. But I have come to tell you today that you cannot have the King if you hate His Kingdom's rules. If you say you love the Gardener but you trample on His garden's laws, your love is a lie. True love is not a feeling; it is an active delight in the instructions of the One you adore. We are here to talk about a joy that is 'Immaculate'—a joy so pure that it does not come from what God gives your hands, but from what God says to your heart. The "Law" (Torah) in Psalm 1:2 and the "Commandment" (Entolē) in John 14:15 are not enemies; they are the same holy fire. In the Old Testament, the Law was on stone; in the New Testament, through Grace, the Law is written on our hearts:
> Hebrews 8:10: "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people."
We don't obey to get saved; we obey because we are saved and we are in love. This "Immaculate Delight" is the secret to a life that the devil cannot touch and the world cannot understand.
*PART 1.*
*THE DIGESTION: INTERNALIZING THE DIVINE DECREE*
- Psalm 119:11: "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee."
- Jeremiah 15:16: "Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts."
- Job 23:12: "Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food."
- Colossians 3:16: "Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord."
Before the Word can work for you, it must work in you. We do not just read the Bible; we must feed on it. This is the process of moving God's truth from the page into our very spirit until it becomes our spiritual heartbeat. 🍎
A *. The Ruminating Record* (Psalm 1:2): "But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." Meditation is the "chewing" of the Word. We must "eat" the scroll until it becomes part of us:
- Ezekiel 3:1-3: "Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, eat that thou findest; eat this roll, and go speak unto the house of Israel. So I opened my mouth, and he caused me to eat that roll. And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat it; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness."
You mutter the Word until the "Letter" becomes "Life":
- John 6:63: "It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life."
*B. The Relational Requirement* (John 14:15): "If ye love me, keep my commandments." Love is the only way to swallow the Word. Without love, the Law is a dry stone; with love, it is bread:
- Deuteronomy 8:3: "And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the Lord doth man live."
We obey because we adore the Commander.
*C. The Radical Renewal:* When you digest the Word, it changes your inner nature:
- Romans 12:2: "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."
You stop "trying" to be holy and start "living" holy because the Word has been grafted into your soul:
- James 1:21: "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls."
*PART 2*
*THE DAY AND NIGHT: THE INCESSANT CYCLE OF CONSISTENCY*
- Joshua 1:8: "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."
- Psalm 119:97: "O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day."
- 1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray without ceasing."
- Hebrews 13:8: "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
The light of a true believer burns 24 hours a day without stopping. Our devotion is not a Sunday activity; it is a permanent rhythm of the heart. ☀️
*A. The Daily Duty* (Psalm 1:2): "But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." The "Day" of success and the "Night" of trials both need the Word. A blessed man is constant in every season:
- 2 Timothy 4:2: "Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine."
He meditates when the sun is up and when the shadows fall (Joshua 1:8).
*B. The Divine Duty* (John 15:10): "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love." Jesus is our example of consistency. He stayed in the Father's love by keeping the Father's commands at all times:
- John 8:29: "And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him."
To "Abide" means to remain in the house of obedience forever:
- John 15:4-5: "Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing."
*C. The Disclosed Deity* (John 14:21): "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." Consistency brings revelation. Jesus promises that the "Day and Night" walker will see a manifestation of Christ that the world cannot see:
- John 14:22-23: "Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him."
The light shines brightest on the steady path:
- Proverbs 4:18: "But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day."
*PART 3*
*THE DELIGHT — THE LIGHT: THE HARMONY WITH HEAVENLY LIGHT*
- Psalm 16:11: "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
- Isaiah 60:19-20: "The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended."
- 1 John 1:7: "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."
- Revelation 22:5: "And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever."
Your joy is " *Immaculate* " because it is the actual Daylight of Heaven. It is a pure pleasure that links your heart to the atmosphere of the New Jerusalem. 💎
*A. The Holy Happiness:* This delight is "Immaculate" because it is not based on earthly gain. It is a pure joy found only in God's will:
- Psalm 40:8: "I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart."
It is a light that no darkness can overcome:
- John 1:5: "And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not."
*B. The Heavenly Horizon:* In Heaven, there is no sun, for the Lamb is the Light:
- Revelation 21:23: "And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof."
In Heaven, everyone delights in God's will perfectly:
- Psalm 103:20-21: "Bless the Lord, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the Lord, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure."
When you delight in His Law now, you are walking in the Daylight of Heaven while on earth (Matthew 6:10).
*C. The High Honor* (John 15:11): "These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full." Full joy is "Full Light". By choosing this delight today, you are joining your soul to the eternal light of the Throne Room:
- Psalm 16:11: "Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."
*CONCLUSION: THE CALL TO DEEP DEVOTION*
*A. Abandon the shallow life:*
- Ezekiel 47:3-5: "And when the man that had the line in his hand went forth eastward, he measured a thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the waters were to the ankles. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through the waters; the waters were to the knees. Again he measured a thousand, and brought me through; the waters were to the loins. Afterward he measured a thousand; and it was a river that I could not pass over: for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed over."
*B. Abide in the Word day and night:*
- John 15:7: "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you."
*C. Absorb the Immaculate Light of Heaven:*
- 2 Corinthians 3:18: "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord."
