*WIDOWS AND ORPHANS VISITATIONS (James 1:27)*
*"Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world"*
*James 1:27* most importantly mentioned the widows and the orphans meaning just what it says. God's will for His children is that they tend to the poor, the outcasts, the orphans, the poor widows, and the less privileged.
*Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means:* Caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
*Pure religion and undefiled means* that religion or service of God must be “pure” i.e. holy, consecrated service of God; and, “undefiled” i.e. free from the pollutions of sin. Still more, James speaks of pure and undefiled religion “before God even the Father.” Religion is the service which meets with the approval of God.
*The word visit in this verse means*
TO LOOK AFTER
According to *James 1:27*, *“visiting orphans and widows in their affliction”* is considered by God to be *“pure and undefiled” worship*.
But what does it mean to *“visit” orphans and widows?*
The word *“visit”* in the Greek literally means
*"to look after"*
*"to take care of"*
*"to provide for"*.
*LIVING OUT JAMES 1:27*
*1) Pray:*
First, we should pray for orphans, widows, and vulnerable communities. ...
*2) Educate Yourself:*
Another way we can put *James 1:27* into practice is by educating ourselves on how to care for the vulnerable in a healthy way. ...
*3) Support:*
Support organizations that Care for the Vulnerable.
