☀️ MORNING MOMENT WITH JESUS

📌Romans 9:14-29

🗣️ Says

💪 God's sovereignty and justice in His dealings with humanity. Here's a breakdown:

❤️ God's Sovereignty and Justice
📌14. "What then shall we say? Is God unjust? Not at all!"
📌15. For he says to Moses, "I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion."
📌16. "It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God’s mercy."

💜 God's Choice of Jacob over Esau
📌17. For Scripture says to Pharaoh: "I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."
📌18. "Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden."

💚 God's Wrath and Mercy
📌19. One of you will say to me: "Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?"
📌20. But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? "Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, 'Why did you make me like this?'"
📌21. Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?
📌22. What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction?
📌23. What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory—
📌24. even us, whom he also called, not only from the Jews but also from the Gentiles?

💙 God's Call of the Gentiles
📌25. As he says in Hosea: "I will call them 'my people' who are not my people; and I will call her 'my loved one' who is not my loved one,"
📌26. and, "In the very place where it was said to them, 'You are not my people,' there they will be called 'children of the living God.'"

27. Isaiah cries out concerning Israel: "Though the number of the Israelites be like the sand by the sea, only the remnant will be saved."

👌 Key
🔥God's sovereignty:
The passage emphasizes God's absolute control over His creation and His right to exercise mercy and judgment.
🔥 God's justice: Paul addresses the question of God's justice, affirming that God's ways are not unjust, even if they seem mysterious or unknowable to humans.
🔥 God's mercy and wrath*: The passage highlights God's freedom to show mercy to whom He chooses and to harden whom He chooses, while also emphasizing His patience and long-suffering.

✍️ Significance
Romans 9:14-29 provides insight into God's character and His dealings with humanity, emphasizing His sovereignty, justice, and mercy. It challenges humans to trust in God's wisdom and goodness, even when His ways are not fully understandable.

🌏 FRIDAY, APRIL 11TH, 2025*

☀️ *MORNING MOMENT WITH JESUS*

📌 *ROMANS 9:1-13*

🗣️ *Says*

🎤"I speak the truth in Christ—I am not lying, my conscience confirms it through the Holy Spirit— 2 I have great sorrow and unceasing anguish in my heart. 3 For I could wish that I myself were cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of my people, those of my own race, 4 the people of Israel. Theirs is the adoption to sonship; theirs the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, the temple worship and the promises. 5 Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of the Messiah, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen.

6 It is not as though God’s word had failed. For not all who are descended from Israel are Israel. 7 Nor because they are his descendants are they all Abraham’s children. On the contrary, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 8 In other words, it is not the children by physical descent who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring. 9 For this was how the promise was stated: “At the appointed time I will return, and Sarah will have a son.”

10 Not only that, but Rebekah’s children were conceived at the same time by our father Isaac. 11 Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad—in order that God’s purpose in election might stand: 12 not by works but by him who calls—she was told, “The older will serve the younger.” 13 Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.””

🔥 *Elaboration*

💙 *The Sorrow of Paul*

🩸Paul expresses his deep sorrow and anguish for his fellow Israelites who have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior. He wishes that he could be cursed and cut off from Christ for the sake of his people, showing the depth of his love and concern for them.

❤️ *The Privileges of Israel*

💧 Paul lists the privileges that Israel has received from God, including adoption as sons, the divine glory, the covenants, the receiving of the law, temple worship, and the promises. He also mentions that the patriarchs and the human ancestry of the Messiah come from Israel.

💛 *The Sovereignty of God*

🩸 Paul explains that not all who are descended from Israel are truly Israel. He uses the example of Isaac and Ishmael to illustrate that God’s children are not determined by physical descent but by promise. God’s sovereignty is also seen in the example of Jacob and Esau, where God chooses to love and hate (in the sense of preferring one over the other) before they were born or had done anything good or bad.

💚 *The Importance of Trusting God*

🩸This passage reminds us of the importance of trusting in God’s sovereignty and promises. We must recognize that God’s ways are higher than our ways and that He has the right to choose and reject whom He wills. This requires us to have faith and trust in God’s goodness and love, even when we do not understand His ways.

☀️ MORNING MOMENT
WITH JESUS

📌 ROMANS 8:31-39

🗣️ Says

🎤 "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: 'For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.' Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:31-39)

🔥 Elaboration

❤️ The Assurance of God's Love

🩸 This passage is one of the most comforting and reassuring in the Bible. It reminds us that if God is for us, no one can be against us. God's love and support are more powerful than any challenge or obstacle we may face.

🧡 The Gift of Salvation

🩸The passage highlights the gift of salvation that God has given us through Jesus Christ. God did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, showing the depth of His love and commitment to our salvation.

💚 No Condemnation

🩸 The passage also emphasizes that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. God justifies us, and Christ's death and resurrection have freed us from the power of sin and death.

The Love of Christ

🩸 The passage asks rhetorically who can separate us from the love of Christ. The answer is no one and nothing. Neither tribulation, nor distress, nor persecution, nor any other challenge can separate us from God's love.

💜 More Than Conquerors

🩸 The passage declares that we are more than conquerors through Christ who loved us. This means that we have the power and strength to overcome any obstacle or challenge that comes our way.

💛 Nothing Can Separate Us from God's Love

🩸 The passage concludes by listing various things that cannot separate us from God's love, including death, life, angels, principalities, powers, and any other created thing. This is a powerful reminder of the depth and breadth of God's love for us.

✍️ Conclusion

👌 Romans 8:31-39 is a powerful reminder of God's love and support for us. It encourages us to trust in God's goodness and to have confidence in His ability to overcome any challenge or obstacle. May this passage bring comfort and strength to those who read it.
