JONATHAN — A SEED OF LOYALTY

He was a crowned prince in Gilboa,
Yet chose love above the throne;
So brave, so loyal, filled with reverence to God,
Jonathan walked with the Lord alone.

He refused the errors of his father,
But chose the pathway bright;
He honoured Saul with faithful love,
Yet stood for David’s right.

At a tender youthful age,
He struck the Philistine band;
With courage burning in his heart,
He conquered through God’s hand.

Yet victory never changed his soul,
Nor filled his heart with pride;
Humility became his robe,
And God stayed by his side.

For the sake of covenant love,
He risked his very breath;
Revealing secrets from the king,
To save his friend from death.

He knew that David soon would reign,
Yet envy found no place;
He chose submission over fame,
And walked in holy grace.

Upon the mount of Gilboa,
He fell beside the slain;
Though he could have fled the battle,
Loyalty made him remain.

Then years rolled by like silent streams,
And mercy spoke once more;
Mephibosheth, his crippled son,
Was brought through David’s door.

What Jonathan sowed in faithfulness
Began to bloom again;
The kindness shown while he yet lived
Returned with royal gain.

What a father plants in honour,
His children someday reap;
The harvest may seem long delayed,
But God the seed will keep.

The king restored forgotten hope,
And wiped away the shame;
Mephibosheth now dined with kings,
Though broken once he came.

Beloved, it pays to still do good,
For heaven keeps the score;
The deeds done out of purest hearts
Are never lost before God.

If blessings tarry in your days,
Your children yet may see
The fruits of every righteous seed
Planted faithfully.

Choose the pathway that is good,
Though evil may seem sweet;
For every seed a man shall sow,
Will rise beneath his feet.

You cannot cheat the living God,
His justice ever stands;
Whatever any soul shall sow,
That shall return to his hands.

Proverbs 28:1
“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.”

Proverbs 28:8
“He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor.”

A life built on righteousness gives confidence, peace, and boldness. When a person walks uprightly before God, there is no need to live in fear or guilt. The Lord strengthens the hearts of the righteous and gives them courage even in difficult times. On the other hand, wealth gained through dishonesty, oppression, or greed never brings lasting joy or security. God desires His children to live honestly, treat others fairly, and trust Him as their source and provider. True prosperity is not measured only by money, but by peace of mind, a clean heart, and the favour of God upon one’s life. 🌿✨

🌲 INSIGHTS 🌟
👉 Righteous living brings confidence and inner peace.
👉 Dishonest gain cannot produce lasting happiness.
👉 God honours integrity and fairness.
👉 Boldness comes from having a clear conscience before God.
👉 Wealth should be used to bless and help others.

💡 ACTION PLANS ✍️
➕ Choose honesty in all your dealings and relationships.
➕ Refuse to gain advantage through deceit or exploitation.
➕ Trust God to provide for your needs faithfully.
➕ Help the needy and show compassion to others.
➕ Live daily with a clean conscience before God and man.

THE DIOCESAN WRITES

Daniel remains one of the strongest examples of intentional faith in the Scriptures. He was not just a believer by name; he was a believer by conviction. Even in a strange land, far away from Jerusalem, he refused to allow captivity change his devotion to God.

From the beginning, Daniel showed that his relationship with God was personal and deliberate. Though he was among the captives taken to Babylon, he did not surrender his spiritual identity. When the king’s food was presented to him, Daniel understood that accepting it would compromise his consecration. Despite the fear and warning from the chief of the eunuchs, Daniel remained firm. He chose pulse and water, trusting completely in God. In the end, God honoured his decision and made him healthier and wiser than others.

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat.” — Daniel 1:8

The same spirit of intentional worship followed Daniel throughout his life. When the decree was signed that nobody should make requests from any god or man except King Darius, Daniel did not hide his faith. He did not reduce his prayer life because of danger. He went openly into his chamber, opened his windows toward Jerusalem, knelt down, and prayed as he always did. His enemies saw him, accused him, and he was thrown into the lions’ den. Yet, the God whom he served faithfully delivered him.

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed.” — Daniel 6:10

Beloved, true service to God is intentional. It is not dependent on convenience, public acceptance, or the presence of companions. There is a saying often heard in this part of the world: “If people have not said you are too serious about God, then your service may still be shallow.” Though spoken casually, it carries a deep truth. Genuine devotion to God will sometimes look strange to a world that does not understand spiritual commitment.

Following God is personal. Whether others join you or not, whether the season is peaceful or difficult, whether the future looks clear or uncertain, you must decide to remain with Him. Christianity is not blind followership; it is daily surrender to the leadership of God. The believer must learn to listen carefully to His instructions and obey completely.

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” — Luke 9:23

May God raise believers who will stand for Him without compromise, believers who will remain faithful even when the pressure is intense, and believers whose loyalty to Christ cannot be bought or broken. Amen. ✨

She was a famous harlot in Jericho,
Living close to the city gate.
She welcomed the spies into her home,
Not knowing what lay ahead in fate.

The people of the city heard of the spies,
Fear spread all around.
Yet she refused to hand them over,
Though danger did abound.

She hid them safely upon her roof,
Away from searching eyes,
Then showed them a secret way to leave
Before suspicion could arise.

When the spies returned with Israel’s army
To bring Jericho down,
They remembered Rahab’s act of kindness
And spared her household from the ground.

Everything she had was preserved,
Nothing was swept away.
Mercy spoke on behalf of a woman
Who once had gone astray.

This is the story of Rahab,
A harlot saved by grace.
Later connected to the lineage of Christ,
A woman God chose to embrace.

A message is crying out loudly today,
Calling both great and small:
No matter what you may be facing,
Kindness still matters after all.

It does not matter how little it seems,
Or how hidden the deed may stay,
For every act of love and mercy
Will surely speak someday.

And when the season finally comes,
Its beauty will unfold;
Blessings return in unexpected ways,
More precious far than gold.

God is a God of wisdom, diligence, and proper stewardship. He expects us to pay careful attention to the things He has placed in our hands — our families, health, work, ministry, finances, and relationships. Many people desire increase, yet neglect the little blessings God has already entrusted to them. This passage reminds us that earthly riches and positions are temporary, but faithful management brings lasting rewards and stability. Seasons may change, but those who work diligently, plan wisely, and depend on God will continue to experience His provision. Therefore, remain faithful in your responsibilities, because diligence today can become great blessings tomorrow. 🌿✨

🌲 INSIGHTS 🌟
👉 God blesses diligence and careful stewardship.
👉 Small responsibilities should never be neglected.
👉 Earthly wealth and positions can change with time.

➕ Pay attention to the important areas of your life and family.
➕ Manage your resources wisely and avoid wastefulness.

✨ Skill and certificate are not the same thing. A certificate may announce that you have learnt something, but skill proves that you truly understand it and can stand firm even when challenges arise. Many people have certificates, yet only few can continue when the road becomes difficult. Skills give confidence, experience and strength to keep moving when others stop. Therefore, never focus only on getting certified; focus on growing, learning and becoming better daily. What you can truly do will always speak louder than the paper you carry.

The world may first notice your certificate, but it will continue to honour your skill. Keep sharpening your gift, remain humble enough to learn and never stop improving yourself. God blesses the works of diligent hands, not empty titles. In due season, your ability will open doors that certificates alone cannot open.

“Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” — Proverbs 22:29

𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐎𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐀𝐍 𝐖𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐒

There are moments in history when the people of God go through pain, pressure, and opposition because of their faith. In such seasons, hearts are tested, and faith becomes either stronger or weaker. Some have drawn comparisons between early Roman opposition to Christians and present-day challenges faced by believers in different parts of the world.

But even in all of this, one truth remains unshakable: God has never lost control of His Church.

In the early days of the faith, believers were not always welcomed. Yet their courage and endurance became a testimony that could not be silenced. This is why the writings of the early fathers remind us that suffering for righteousness often leads to the spreading of truth, not its destruction.

“We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.”
Acts 14:22

This teaches us that opposition is not the end of faith; sometimes, it is the path through which faith becomes deeper and more sincere.

1. God uses pressure to spread His truth

When believers are challenged, the message of Christ often becomes louder in the hearts of those who are searching. Fear may try to silence the Church, but divine purpose cannot be stopped.

“The word of God is not bound.”
2 Timothy 2:9

Even in difficult times, the message of salvation continues to reach new hearts. God knows how to turn pressure into growth.

2. The call to stand firm and not be shaken

In every generation, believers are called to remain steady, prayerful, and full of courage. Fear must not replace faith, and silence must not replace witness.

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God goes with you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6

This reminds us that no matter the atmosphere around us, God’s presence is the believer’s security.

3. A call to prayer for leaders and nations

Prayer remains one of the strongest tools given to the Church. Through prayer, hearts are softened, wisdom is released, and peace is established where confusion tries to rule.

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers… be made for all people, for kings and all those in authority.”
1 Timothy 2:1–2

When God’s people pray, divine help rises in places where human strength cannot reach.

---

In all things, the believer must remember: God is still God, and His purpose for His Church will not fail. Darkness may attempt to rise, but light always prevails in the end.

DAVID: PREPARED IN THE SECRET PLACE

While in the bush, tending his father’s flock,
A young shepherd walked through dust and rock.
No crown on his head, no throne in sight,
Yet Heaven was training him day and night.

When danger arose against the sheep,
He did not run, nor hide in fear deep.
A lion came roaring with fury untold,
A bear appeared violent, savage and bold.

But with only his staff and faith so strong,
He fought for the weak against all wrong.
He tore them apart with heavenly might,
Because the Lord Himself stood by his side to fight.

Still, David never knew within those days,
God was preparing him in mysterious ways.
Every battle hidden in the lonely wild
Was shaping the destiny of the little child.

Then came a giant, dreadful and tall,
Whose voice brought fear upon them all.
The armies trembled at Goliath’s sound,
But David stood firm upon holy ground.

With only a stone and a sling in hand,
He conquered the terror that mocked the land.
The mighty Philistine fell to the dust,
Because David believed in the God he could trust.

The victory shocked both great and small,
For faith in God is greater than all.
Yet David still did not fully see
The king God had destined him to be.

He stayed for a while within Saul’s court,
Learning wisdom of every sort.
For when the evil spirit troubled the king,
David was called upon to play and sing.

His praises brought comfort, peace and rest,
Because the Spirit of God upon him was blessed.
There he learnt the ways of war,
How kingdoms rise and what battles are for.

He learnt defense and strategies wise,
Watching leadership before his eyes.
Still, he never knew through every test,
God was preparing him for the very best.

Then Samuel came with oil one day,
And poured it upon him as God would say:
“This is the king whom I have chosen.”
Yet the promise was not instantly opened.

David was anointed, yet still had to wait,
Because divine timing is never late.
There is a season for preparation’s pain,
And another season for glory to reign.

He never forced the throne by pride,
Nor pushed God’s process aside.
He trusted the Lord through every delay,
Believing His promise would come someday.

This is the story of David the king,
Whose songs through generations still sing.
A warrior mighty in every fight,
Who conquered through God’s unfailing might.

He fought many wars in Israel’s days,
Yet God preserved him in marvelous ways.
Though imperfect, broken, and human indeed,
He remained a man after God’s own heart and lead.

Beloved, hear this truth today:
Your present battles are not in vain display.
The struggles you face, the tears you hide,
May be Heaven preparing you for a greater tide.

The skills you are learning in seasons of pain,
Will become the tools for future gain.
The patience, endurance, wisdom and fight
Are shaping your purpose before men’s sight.

So never lose hope when storms arise,
And never let fear blind your eyes.
Remain steadfast, faithful and true,
For God still has great plans for you.

Learn through the process. Grow through the fire.
Let every trial lift you higher.
For you are never walking alone,
The Lord still watches over His own.

He is leading you step by step each day,
Guiding your life upon His way.
And if only you patiently persevere,
Greater heights shall surely appear.
