2. O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.

INSPIRATION
Prayer is a two ways communication between man and God.

*Do you believe in prayers as an individual ?*

Has God ever answer your prayers?

God has answered mine many times hence I have the confidence to share this message with you . He always answers when I cry to Him.

Many people pray and never see results. Why and why not ?

James 4:3

However, it is important to know that Ppayers offered in faithfulness to God is a guarantee that God's will shall be done regarding what we ask

This is a prayer offered in confidence and in faith because God has answered him before while he was in pain and distress and he believed he will answer again

Let's examine and meditate on the above statement.
*Who has God set apart?*

The answer is *those who are Godly*

At this juncture, let's be honest, *are you Godly?* . Do you believe in the son of God Jesus Christ that He died for your sins and the sins of mankind?

If you have not, your prayers might be hindered because He has said to His disciples in John 16:23-24
*....Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you*.
*Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full*.

*Therefore, the assignment is to take a bold step right now to receive Jesus Christ and genuinely repent from your sinful ways and put your faith in Him always and thou shall be among the Godly that is set apart to fulfill God's purpose here on earth*

INSPIRATION
Divine insight is a gift from God that enables a child of God to be able to discern or perceive God's will in order to live according to the perfect plan of God

The scripture said in Ecclesiastes 10:16
*Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child.....*

A leader or a man without wisdom is like a ship without a compass but he that has the wisdom of God is bless with power, peace and length of days

So, Knowledge, wisdom and understanding is the principal thing and it is required to pilot the affairs of any man's life.

Therefore, divine wisdom provides clarity of purpose to those that allow the Holy Ghost to teach and direct their path.

INSPIRATION
There are moments in life when it looks as if strength is failing.

Moment of trials and frustration where it looks as if everyone has abandoned you.

A time where your own knowledge and ideas are not working anymore as you planned and thought and questions begin to race through your mind; who have I offended, why is my life like this or can I ever come out of this situation?
If you have ever experienced this situation, the passage of today is for you.

*Be careful who gives you counsel at this moment of your life because a wrong decision at this point can drag you deeper into the mould which might take you a longer time to recover*

In the passage of today, the Lord said *when the poor and the needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them*.

This is God's promise for those who can look up to Him and trust Him. God can never forsake His people

All we need to do in moments of trials and tribulations is to cast our burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee:for He has promised that *He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved*.(Psalm 55:22)

Remember that the righteous are those that believe and have faith in Jesus Christ

The above verse is a profound promise of God for divine provision, transformation, and miraculous restoration in times of trouble

God has done it before to the Israelites. He quenched their thirst, comforted them and gave them water in the desert when they were on a journey to the promised land

Why not call Him now as we say, *Oh Lord, send me help from above and do not allow me to be consumed by the wicked*

*INSPIRATION*
The earth is the lords and the fullness thereof and they that dwell therein.

The God with absolute authority and control is *The sovereign God who owns and controls the universe* .
*Nothing happens on earth without the knowledge and the control of Almighty God*

They that encounter God lived glorious and fulfilled purpose in life

Firstly, God appeared unto Abraham in Gen.17:1 and said I am the lord.
Abraham obeyed God and ended well

Secondly, God appeared unto Isaac and said I am the lord. (Gen.26:24) . Isaac obeyed God and ended well.
There are several other examples in the scripture where men ended well because they received God and obey Him

In today's passage, God introduces Himself as I *am the Lord and that is my name* which symbolizes He is the sovereign and eternal giver of life whose honor cannot be shared with other gods

Therefore, it is only God that have the solution to any human problem .

Seeking to solve human problems by worshipping graven images is effort in futility and the end result is misery

God hate idolatry because God cannot share His glory with any man.

1 John 5:21
*Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen*.

*Therefore, it is an aberration to give praise to graven images* instead of God Almighty

*ASSIGNMENT FOR ALL*
It is written that no flesh should glory in his presence.
(1 Corinthians 1:29)

Remember, whatever that you are today and whatever that you have is not by thy power but by the grace of God.

King Pharaoh, king Nebuchadnezzar and king Herod undermined the glory of God and they end up miserable

Therefore, never you undermine the power of the sovereign God; for He is the same yesterday, today and forever more.

_ISAIAH 8:18_

Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

INSPIRATION
Do you know how cumbersome and difficult it is to raise Godly children in a faithless generation without the help of the Holy Ghost?

We are living in a time where most parents compromise the Godly standard of training children because of stomach infrastructure or the pleasures of this world.

Most children in our society lack the fear of God, respect and honor for elders, some indulge in smoking hard drugs, others in all manner of evil and occult practices where their hearts become the stronghold of satan .

All of the evil that is happening in our time does not start today. Prophet Isaiah experienced the same thing of faithless generation but yet was able to say I and the children the lord has given me are for signs and wonders

Isaiah indeed work with his children to fulfill God's purpose in their lives .
*Isaiah 7:3-4* ( Shearjashub, the son of Isaiah accompanied his father to visit king Ahaz to fulfill a divine assignment)
How many of our children today follow us to serve the God that we believe in ? Food for thought

I pray that no child shall bring shame to the parents anymore In Jesus name

Do you really know your children and what they can do in your absence?

Every parent need the assistance of the Holy Ghost to raise children that can reflect Jesus Christ anywhere they go .

The boldness and the utterance of prophet Isaiah concerning his children in today's passage is likened unto our savior Jesus Christ who said in John 10:14
*I am the good shepherd, and I know my sheep, and am known of mine*.

Do you have children whose ways you are not so please of ?

Do you think that you have failed as a parent to raise your children properly in the way of the lord ?

Worry no more because in God, there is solution

Jesus said in John 10:16
*And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd*.

This above verse assured us that both those who know Him (followers) and those that do not know Him ( Gentile nations) shall He bring together under His care as one family .

Therefore, the assignment is to pray over the children regularly and ask for God's leading to teach and correct them in love consistently and by the power of the Holy Ghost, all shall return like the prodigal son.

Do not give up on them for there is light at the end of the tunnel

5. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

INSPIRATION
The journey of a man's life is so complicated when approach carnally. A righteous man called Job got to a point in his life and said in Job 14:1
*Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble*

It is the trouble of life that makes a man to embark in search of solution. Everyone needed solution to his problems

The desperate heart of man to search for a true God has led man into idolatry where satan begins to manipulate the destinies of many

In the passage of today, Thomas who had followed Jesus Christ because he needed solution to his problems got to a point in his career and he asked Jesus Christ
*Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?*
Thomas was eager to know the way out of his problem and the way to eternity

Sincerely speaking, till date, many are still struggling with the problem of the journey of life .*From the point of birth till the day a man dies* problems and challenges are inevitable even after death, the final destination is not known by many.

Thank God for Jesus Christ who responded to brother Thomas in John 14:6 and He said
*I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me*.

Therefore, Jesus Christ have come to clear the doubt and the struggle that had existed for centuries by offering solution to the problem of a man's life by saying *HEI IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE*
Ultimately, Christ is the solution to every problem of the journey of life
Be it spiritual, physically or otherwise, Christ is the solution for whoever that have Christ have everything

ASSIGNMENT FOR ALL
Our primary assignment according to the scripture is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. (Acts.16:31)

Brethren, God is our creator and He knows what is best for us. All we need to do is to align our lives with Him in everything that we do and our lives will become meaningful

At this point, I want to offer my personal advice, no matter how far that you have gone on that wrong journey, retrace your footsteps and come back to identify with Jesus and your journey of life shall be smooth

3. His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
4. And for fear of him *the keepers did shake, and became as dead men*.

INSPIRATION
It has never happened in the history of this world that a man dies and was buried and after three days he resurrected back to life except in the person of Jesus Christ.

*The passage of today demonstrated that the grave could not hold Jesus Christ captive but rather He triumphed over death and the Roman's soldiers were all as dead men*.

Indeed, Jesus Christ has said it before that He has the power to lay down His life and He has the power to take it again ( John.10:18)

*The celebration of Easter reminds us that my Jesus is not dead but He is alive*

The passage of today confirmed that Mary Magdalene and her colleagues had faith and boldness to come to the tomb of Jesus Christ to seek after the body of Jesus Christ but the angel of the Lord gave them direction on what to do and where to find Him for Christ that they seek after is no longer among the dead but has gone ahead to Galilee as He promised His disciples before His death

Many are still seeking Christ in wrong places today but Jesus has said, they that must serve Him shall serve Him in Spirit and in truth .

Come to Jesus today like Mary Magdalene and her colleagues and you shall receive divine guidance and direction from above on how to serve Christ the king.

ASSIGNMENT FOR ALL

The era of killing goats and rams are past because the blood that Jesus Christ shared on the cross of Calvary offered us atonement and purge our conscience from dead works to serve the living God only (*Heb.9:12-14*).

Jesus Christ is the lamb of God that taketh away the sins of the whole world ( *John.1:29*) and whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ shall be saved (Rom.10:13)

*our assignment is to tell others to receive Christ and forsake the killing of bulls and goats to reach out to God; for there is only one mediator between man and God which is Jesus Christ* (1Tim.2:5)

*In Him alone we have salvation*

18. And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

*INSPIRATION*
Some people choose to follow the gods of their fathers, some people says I do not need anyone to lead me for i can lead myself

*However, we should know that the journey to eternity is too costly to be toiled with*.

The scripture said, there is a broad way that lead to destruction and there is a narrow way that lead to life (*Matt.7:13-14*). Which of the way would you like to follow?
I know most people will choose the way of life

The gods of your father do not take you to the way of life neither can you on your own lead yourself to eternity except you receive Jesus Christ

*The way of life can only be found In Jesus Christ*

Have you received Him ?

In today's passage, we learned that the only savior of the world, Jesus Christ asked Simon Peter and his brother Andrew to follow Him and straight away, they left their nets and followed Jesus Christ.

*This is total obedience to the will of God and we know that God love those who obey His commands*

Do you have a net that you are still holding unto like Peter and Andrew when Jesus met them ?.
Is your net an excuse for following Jesus Christ?

What is the net in this context ?
It could be the financial pursuits to meet the basic needs of life

The net could also be the pursuit of the pleasures of this world but Simon Peter and Andrew chose not to allow any of these things to deter them from following Jesus Christ.

Brethren, let us examine our lives and decide who to follow in life because life have no duplicate

Have you seen people who are discourage with their faith ?
And
they tried to discourage others as well with flimsy excuses.
This most time happened with people who sincerely were never in Christ

Do not be discouraged by actions and remarks of people for it is not new to see some backslide

As Peter followed Jesus Christ faithfully in his days, he got to a point where his co-disciples backslides because of the teaching of Jesus and Peter was not moved at all
And
Jesus asked Peter, *will ye also go away?*
And Peter answered, Lord, to whom shall we go?
I have no other but you.

Therefore, whosoever is sincerely in Christ shall not be tossed here and there for there is no other name given among men whereby we can be saved

*our assignment is to tell others who Christ really is and His mission to reconcile the world to Himself*
