STAY WHERE THE FIRE IS

It happens to all of us.
You didn't have the urge to urinate before. Then someone says, I want to go and urinate, and you suddenly feel the urge to do the same.

Or even the most common. Someone yawns beside you and before he is done yawning, you've picked it up. It's not premeditated. Some things are just contagious.

I've found this to be true of spiritual things: You will always look like what is around you.

Have you seen people who were doing so well in their school fellowship but when they leave school, they become a shadow of themselves? Their environment changed, and so did their life.

One way to remain on fire is to stay where the fire is. Surround yourself with people who will not just keep you warm, but keep you lit. When you stay around people who have what you desire, overtime, it rubs off on you.

For instance, if you are still having issues with your prayer life, it is wisdom to get yourself amongst praying people. Get yourself into a solid prayer group. Get yourself into meetings where you have no option but to pray. I've seen people who couldn't ordinarily pray in tongues for 30minutes on their own, pray fervently in tongues for hours in meetings. That's how it works. If such a person remains in that kind of company long enough, praying long in tongues will soon become his lifestyle.

The key is to stay where the fire is until you are set ablaze. Then remain where the fire is to remain ablaze. That's how it works.

If you desire to manifest spiritual gifts [and you really should], surround yourself with people who value, celebrate, and manifest it. You will soon be infected. The gifts in you will come alive.

Even if a wood is dry, it can't "catch" fire on its own, it needs to stay around fire for its dryness to manifest itself.

Get yourself into good company.
Fellowship with people who will set you on fire.
Stay where the fire is.

If they don't inspire you for more, appreciate your presence, celebrate your effort or wins, you don't need to be there !

This is about humility and teachability. 🙏

Discipleship isn’t just about learning what feels good; it’s also about being corrected, refined, and shaped. Growth requires adjustment, and correction is part of that process.

If someone resists correction, they’re usually protecting pride over progress. But those who are willing to be corrected are the ones who actually grow, mature, and become stronger in their faith. 🔥

Being teachable is what turns information into transformation. 💛

The Bible calls Satan “the god of this world” — not because he owns the earth, but because he influences world systems: media, entertainment, culture.

That’s why Scripture warns us to be careful what we see and what we hear. What enters the eyes and ears affects the soul. This isn’t about fear — it’s about discernment.

The good news is this: Jesus has already won. He said, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy….” We are not trying to get the victory — we are maintaining the victory Christ has already secured!

Stay filled with the Word, stay alert, and remember: Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

If Jesus isn’t at the center, it’s easy to keep looking to people, success, relationships, or things to fill that space but none of them were designed to carry that kind of weight.

People can support you, but they can’t complete you.

Things can excite you, but they can’t fulfill you.

Only God can meet the deepest needs of your soul.

When Jesus becomes your focus, the constant searching starts to fade because you’re finally connected to the source, not the substitutes. 🔥

Let no one make you feel foolish or convince you that you are wasting your life because of your devotion to the Lord.

Choose to remain “foolish” in their eyes as long as it is for the course of the Lord.

What the world may call foolish, Heaven calls faithfulness to an eternal course.

Let it console you greatly that you are living out your life for the Lord.

They might say the giving is too much,but they can't understand the joy of sowing into God’s work.

They might say the daily prayers and constant church meetings are too much, they can not understand the beauty of staying in fellowship with God.

They might question your dedication, your sacrifices and your consistency but remain steadfast.

For a life devoted to the Lord is never wasted and every act done in faith carries eternal value.

Stand firm, remain faithful, dogged and let your devotion speak louder than their doubts.
