There is resurgent of noise today about definition of salvation among prominent ministers of God as back bone to the finished work of Christ..
One thing very certain and agreed by all of them is that Salvation is about forgiveness and gift of eternal life
People don't fight the aspect of forgiveness but to come term with Eternal life has been the area of argument upon arguments between ministers..
What is the usefulness of Eternal life we receive at salvation should be message of church..
For me it doesn't make sense that the fight of ministers is that you saved eternally is a message the church urgently need but what the eternal life represents and should produce here on the earth..
Eternal life is a character of God nature which is foremost of the person of God, no body can work to earn that, that's why it's a gift thats given to us at salvation by God to claim ownership of us..
A life that will not end.. But we are stil human, we will all died natural dead but our spirit we live on forever with assurance to be with God..
Before that happens, we need a body that we shall receive after redemption of this one we have to be whole in God and christ..
The primary purpose of Eternal life we have is to begin to manifest God character and nature in the now rather than just the assurance of been with God..
God doesn't need sin or wages of sin of sin to be paid to create a man that will live eternally , if he had wanted that happen he will have done that at creation, even the narrative that it's sin that makes adam to died is wrong, sin has nothing to do with that, they are created naturally and all naturally being we end at certain time it's God alone that is exempted from that..
But at salvation we have the opportunity to share that deposit of his foremost character of eternity with him if we believe in his only begotten son who died for our sin and as result it's finished..
The purpose of Eternal life as Gift at salvation is for us to begins to manifest God nature and life here in the now before all other prophetic prophesies we have windows to wilk be completed at glorification..
At the moment our life the life is eternal life must bring glory and praises to him and live for his pleasure at the moment is the focus of church..
Perhaps , what is eternal life use for now.. If you say it's to assure us of an end with God you are not wrong either but we remember we are different from Christ...
Christ is raised as standard for us to come into God and every one shall be judge on their own life using Christ as standard and acceptable to God..
There should shouldnt be any reason for acccoutability if the message of salvation is about eterñal life or eternal security.. The purpose is to partake in God character and nature and to allow holy Spirit to guidance us through his word to this truth..
