Jesus, through the Parable of the Sower, revealed four kinds of hearts that encounter the same seed—the Word of God. Surprisingly, only one heart produced lasting results.

The difference was not in the seed, nor in the Sower, but in the condition of the soil.

Every heart is a field, and every field determines the harvest it will produce. A hardened heart rejects the Word. A shallow heart receives it but cannot endure. A distracted heart allows the cares of this world to choke it. But a prepared heart receives the Word, nurtures it, and bears fruit—thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold.
