*ASSURANCE OF SALVATION*

_"Faith In Christ is salvation"_

The above fact is established all over the scriptures from (Genesis - Revelation)

If you think believing in Christ is not enough to get you saved
Then you might as well give up on salvation (You Can't be saved) and if you think there's any other alternative to Faith in the gospel to get saved
Then one is creating a path of insecurity of him ever being saved

Its the same reason why you ask some believers are you saved? Are you going to heaven? And some would say only God knows, we'll know on judgment day all this answers when probed comes from the singular fact that one is seeking salvation outside the simple message of the Gospel (Believe and be saved)

Sometimes people feel they aren't saved because probably they have sinned or they have a bad marriage or for various reasons.

But our assurance doesn't come from what we feel but from the written word.

Let's consider some scriptures

_Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature._

_16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned._

Have you believed the gospel? If YES! you are SAVED

We often downplay the absoluteness of this scriptures it is clear if you believe you are saved.

Simple its Faith in Christ alone not additive

_Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast._

_Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved._

_Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house._

Its exclusive to faith in Christ finished worked

Any attempt to make it more complex than this would breed insecurity in the heart of those who recieves such a message

Is too much grace dangerous?

Is there such a thing...

as too much grace?

Is it possible for God to be too loving?

Too kind?

Too forgiving?

Satan wants you to believe...

that grace is dangerous...

and that it must be kept in balance.

But the truth is....

he fears grace...

because grace frees you to live...

the life you were designed to live.

It frees you from sin...

and frees you totally from condemnation.

It frees you to be a Son or Daughter...

of God Himself.

Grace sets you free...

and you are free indeed...

and there is nothing...

NOTHING...

the enemy fears more than that.

This simple Question
WHO IS GOD?

And just lay back as they dive in into speculations

To many they view of God is so distorted that they can barely trust their definition of God

Many would just resort to saying God is a "MYSTERIOUS GOD"and happily saying they think they have made I crucial and vital point

But this just a show of their ignorance

Some have the most complicated view of God that they put him in a fix of a personality with dual identity

I have heard many say GOD IS GOOD GOD and the next they say lHE'S AN ANGRY AND FIERCEFUL TYRANT

To some the attribute they ascribe to God is just exactly How one would describe the *DEVIL*

So much confusion in the Character/Nature of God that a Believer would be thought to be in relationship with one who he doesn't know

Pathetic!

The question would be How do we trust a God we don't know?

The Old testament when not well studied would lead to one having a distorted image of God

Some infact don't understand

The confusions of all this was remedied in Christ

Christ became the Explanation of God,CHRIST IS GOD EXPLAINING HIS IDENTITY TO US

Christ didn't just Come to Save men but also to fix the image we have of God from the Old testament

If we must understand God beyond speculations and Assumptions we must Take a deliberate move to understanding God in CHRIST

UNLESS we shouldn't boast of Knowing God at all

_Let's let Go of the what we Refer to as Mysteries,dimensions and Diversities of God and simple submit to the:

REVELATION OF GOD IN CHRIST

Simple

WHAT IS PRAYER ?

It’s pertinent to note that within the epistles are replete with plethora of instructions to pray.
Paul in his letters said this much.

Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;

Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto
with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

1st Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

Romans 15:30-31 Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ's sake, and for the love of the
Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me; (31) That I may be delivered from
them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of
the saints;

The synoptic gospel of Matthew gives us a lead

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Earlier Jesus emphasised on speaking

Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which
he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Thus fundamentally , the first thing to recognize from Jesus words is that prayer is making known via words our desires to the father. **Prayer therefore will be to verbalize our request, therefore it cannot be
thinking , that would be meditation.

Now the phrase “ *when you pray* ” in verse 24 was translated from the Greek word *proseuchomai* . It is a
verb and it implies *to make petitions or come before a higher authority with your requests.* That is, to imply that this is done with reverence.
