TOPIC: THE POWER OF KINGDOM STEWARDSHIP TO SOAR
Text: Job 36:11

In the Kingdom of God on earth, we do not beg to be blessed; we serve in order to be blessed. We do not beg for promotion; we serve our way into promotion. Ex. 23:25-26; Deut. 10:20.

Kingdom stewardship gives you what money cannot buy, and what lobbying cannot obtain for you. Ps. 92:13-15.
Every call in this Kingdom is a call to serve God, and it opens doors to immeasurable and undeniable breakthroughs. Matt. 4:19; Jn. 12:26. Do not be a benchwarmer; be an addicted servant in the house of God. Mk. 10:43-45; 1 Pet. 4:10.

WHAT IS KINGDOM STEWARDSHIP?

Stewardship means the act of caring for or taking responsibility for the affairs of the Kingdom of God. 1 Cor. 9:19-23.
A steward is a servant or caretaker; someone who is put in charge or entrusted with responsibility for a period of time. 1 Cor. 4:1-2; Lk. 12:42-43.
Until you become an accredited servant of God, you cannot become a ruler.

Kingdom stewardship is serving God in the interest of His Kingdom in all ramifications. Matt. 6:33; Mk. 12:30.
Kingdom stewardship is not theoretical, but a practical and demonstrable commitment to the growth, expansion, and enlargement of the Kingdom of God on earth. Acts 15:35-36.

Your service to God should not be driven by a gain mentality, because every gain mentality reflects a slavery mentality.
Do not be title-conscious; be service-conscious. Matt. 20:25-28.

TYPES OF KINGDOM STEWARDSHIP

1. Spiritual Stewardship

This is the ability to manage spiritual responsibilities. It entails soul-winning, prayer, intercession for the salvation of souls, and the establishment of new converts in the faith, resulting in church growth. Dan. 12:3; Jn. 4:35-36; Neh. 1:4-11.

2. Physical Stewardship

This involves the tireless investment of time, energy, gifts, talents, and resources toward the expansion of God's Kingdom on earth. Prov. 4:23. It means serving faithfully in any unit of the church and using your skills and talents to serve God.
Who you are is God's gift to you, but your service to God is your gift back to Him.

3. Financial Stewardship

This means using your resources to serve and promote God's Kingdom. Prov. 3:9-10; 1 Cor. 4:7.

Conclusion
Serving God faithfully requires the help of the Holy Spirit. You need Him to strengthen you so that you will not become weary or tired. Jn. 14:26.

SCHOOL OUTREACH HELD TODAY AT PROGRESS INTELLECTUAL SECONDARY SCHOOL, OKE IGBO, ONDO STATE

Upper House Christian Faith Center School outreach programme was successfully held today at Progress Intellectual Secondary School, Oke Igbo, Ondo State, with the aim of enlightening and educating students on the topic "How to Become a Wise Student in the 21st Century."

The session emphasized that wisdom is not only measured by academic intelligence or excellence in school but also by making good decisions, maintaining good character, showing respect to others, and living a life that pleases God.

Topics Discussed

1. A Wise Student Makes Right Choices
The students were taught that wisdom goes beyond classroom performance. A truly wise student is one who can distinguish between right and wrong and make positive decisions that will shape his or her future. Students were encouraged to cultivate godly values and live responsibly.

2. Obedience to Parents, Teachers, and Authorities
The importance of obedience was strongly emphasized during the outreach. Students were taught that a wise student listens to and obeys instructions from parents, teachers, and other authorities. They were encouraged to avoid unnecessary arguments and develop a respectful attitude toward those guiding them.

3. Diligence and Hard Work in Studies
The outreach stressed the need for seriousness in academics. Students were encouraged to study hard, avoid laziness, and stay away from distractions that could hinder their academic progress. They were advised to develop a reading culture and maintain consistency in their studies in order to achieve academic excellence.

4. Choosing Good Friends
The students were informed that friendship plays a significant role in shaping one's behavior and future. They were advised to choose friends wisely and relate with people who possess good character, respect others, and encourage positive behaviors. They were also warned against bad company and negative influences that could lead them astray.

5. Avoidance of Bullying
The students were taught that a wise student should never bully others. Bullying in any form was discouraged because it creates fear, emotional pain, and unhealthy relationships among students. They were encouraged to show kindness, love, and respect to one another.

6. Avoidance of Examination Malpractice
The outreach also addressed the dangers of examination malpractice. Students were taught that engaging in cheating and dishonest practices during examinations does not build true success. They were encouraged to trust in their preparation, study diligently, and maintain integrity in all academic activities.
Impact of the Outreach

The outreach was successful and impactful. It served as an opportunity to guide and inspire students toward becoming wise, disciplined, and responsible individuals. The programme concluded with words of encouragement, challenging the students to apply the lessons learned in their daily lives and academic pursuits.

TOPIC: THE POWER OF DISCIPLINE
Text: 1 Cor. 9:25–27

Discipline is the ability to control one's thoughts, emotions, desires, and actions (Prov. 25:28; 4:23–24).

Discipline is the process of training oneself to live according to God's will and standards (1 Tim. 4:8). Train yourself to pray consistently every day, to fast, to meditate on God's Word, and to hear from God (Prov. 8:33–34).

Discipline is the ability to remain steadfast despite trials, temptations, or difficulties (2 Tim. 2:3–5; Heb. 12:1).

AREAS TO DISCIPLINE

1. Discipline Your Tongue
Psa. 39:1; Prov. 13:3; 21:23
It is not everything you see that you should say publicly. Many Christians' mouths are too loose, causing them to reveal their plans and personal matters to the wrong people (2 Sam. 1:20).

Train your tongue to speak good things always and avoid corrupt words (Jas. 3:10–12; Eccl. 5:6–7). Many destinies and lives have been ruined, destroyed, and even sent to prison because of careless speech (2 Sam. 1:2–10, 14–16).

2. Discipline Your Eyes
Job 31:1–3
Your eyes are gateways to the soul and mind through what you see (Matt. 6:22–23). Many falls begin with what seemed to be "just a look" (2 Sam. 11:1–4; Prov. 4:25).

What enters through the eyes influences the heart and spirit. Discipline what you watch and what you read. If it is not beneficial for you, do not watch it (1 Cor. 10:23).

3. Discipline What You Eat
Prov. 23:1–3
Control your appetite according to godly wisdom. Refuse unhealthy cravings and excessive consumption of junk foods that can destroy the body (Prov. 23:20–21).

Through food, Esau lost his birthright (Gen. 25:27–34). If you cannot control your appetite, it becomes difficult to control other areas of life.

Also avoid impulsive eating and unhealthy spending habits on food (Eccl. 10:17). Fast regularly; it trains the body to submit to the spirit.

Conclusion
If you want to soar, be ready to discipline yourself in Christ (1 Cor. 9:25–27).

UPPER HOUSE WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL

TOPIC: THE POWER OF PATIENCE
Text: Hebrews 10:36–37

Patience is a core requirement in the believer’s walk with God. “For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” This reveals a divine sequence, doing God’s will is not the final step; patience must follow for the promise to manifest. Patience is the strength to remain consistent in obedience while waiting for God’s timing. It is not mere waiting, but steadfast endurance rooted in faith. Many believers start well in obedience but grow weary in the waiting season. However, the promise is tied not only to obedience but also to endurance (Jas 1:3-4, Rom 5:3-4, Lk 21:19).

Patience is developed through trials, not comfort. Every delay, pressure, or challenge is an opportunity for patience to mature in you. God uses these seasons to build stability, character, and spiritual depth so that you can sustain what He is about to release.
Verse 37 brings assurance “For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.” God’s timing is precise. What appears delayed is actually unfolding according to divine schedule. His promises are not subject to human urgency but to His sovereign plan.

Life Application
Patience must become a deliberate practice in your daily walk with God. In moments of delay, choose stability over anxiety by anchoring your heart in God’s promises rather than your circumstances. When answers seem slow, maintain your commitment to obedience do not reduce your devotion, prayer life, or consistency because results are not yet visible.

Guard your decisions carefully. Refuse to act under pressure, fear, or comparison with others. Many errors in life are not due to lack of faith, but lack of patience. Stay within God’s process, trusting that His timing is precise and purposeful.

Develop spiritual endurance by continually feeding on the Word and engaging in prayer. Let scriptures like Hebrews 10:36–37 shape your mindset, reminding you that fulfillment comes after endurance. When challenges arise, see them as opportunities for your faith to be strengthened rather than as setbacks.
Also, cultivate a posture of thanksgiving. Gratitude during waiting seasons reinforces your trust in God and keeps your spirit aligned with His will. Patience grows stronger when your focus remains on God’s faithfulness rather than the length of the waiting period.

Above all, remain steadfast. Do not abandon what God has instructed you to do. Continue faithfully, knowing that every step of obedience, sustained by patience, is moving you closer to the manifestation of His promise.

Prayer
Lord, strengthen my heart to endure every season of delay without losing faith, help me to remain consistent in doing Your will, even when I do not see immediate results in the name of Jesus.

UPPER HOUSE WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL

Topic: ABIDE IN CHRIST
Text: “Abide in me, and I in you….." Jn 15:4

INTRODUCTION

To abide with Christ means to remain, dwell, and stay continually connected to Him. It is not a one time experience but a daily, intentional relationship. Just as a branch cannot survive or bear fruit unless it remains attached to the vine, so also a believer cannot grow spiritually without abiding in Christ.

In John 15:4, Jesus emphasizes that abiding in Him is the secret to fruitfulness. Many believers struggle not because they lack potential, but because they lack consistency in staying connected to Christ. Abiding is about fellowship, dependence, obedience, and intimacy with Him. When you abide in Christ, His life flows through you producing righteousness, peace, strength, and spiritual fruit.

LIFE APPLICATON

Abiding with Christ must become a lifestyle, not an occasional act. Stay in His Word daily, the Word of God is the channel through which Christ speaks and nurtures your spirit. Regular study and meditation keep you rooted in Him (Josh 1:8). Maintain a consistent prayer life because prayer sustains your connection with Christ. It is through prayer that you commune, receive strength, and align with His will (1 Thess 5:17). Also walk in obedience to God; abiding is not just hearing but doing.

Obedience strengthens your relationship with Christ (Jh 14:23). Recognize that without Christ, you can do nothing (John 15:5). Let Him guide your decisions, actions, and thoughts. Avoid anything that weakens your connection with Christ such as sin, distractions, and spiritual neglect. Instead, pursue righteousness and godly living (Psalm 91:1).

CLOSING ACTION POINT

Today, make a deliberate decision to abide in Christ. Set aside quality time to pray and study His Word. Evaluate areas of your life where your connection with Him has weakened, and take steps to restore that fellowship. Commit to staying connected to Christ every moment of the day.

PRAYER
Lord, I ask for the grace to abide in You daily, help me to remain steadfast in Your Word, consistent in prayer, and obedient to Your will in the name of Jesus.

Christ Is Risen

Jesus paid the price for our salvation once and for all. Through Him, we have victory over death, sin, Satan and we have access to the father.

Death could not hold Him, and the grave could not keep Him. He has triumph over them all.

Now, in Him, we share in that victory and walk in the life He has given us.
