TEN GOLDEN SECRETS OF MARRIAGE:

1. EVERYONE YOU MARRY HAS A WEAKNESS.
Only God has no weakness. Every rose flower has its own thorn. If you focus too much on your spouse's weakness, you can't get the best out of his/her strength.

2. EVERYONE YOU MARRY HAS A DARK HISTORY.
No one is an Angel, therefore, avoid digging one's past. What matters is the present life of your partner. Old things are passed away. try to forgive and forget. The past can't be change. So Focus on the present and the future!

3. EVERY MARRIAGE HAS IT'S OWN CHALLENGES.
Marriage is not bed of roses. Every shinning marriage has gone through its own test of hot and excruciating fire. True love is proved in time of challenge. Fight for your marriage! Make up your mind to stay with your spouse in time of needs. Remember this is the vow you made on your wedding day!

4. EVERY MARRIAGE HAS DIFFERENT LEVELS OF SUCCESS.
Don't compare your marriage with anyone! We can never be equal, some will be far in front and others far behind. To avoid marriage stresses, be patient, work hard and with time, your marriage dreams shall come true.

5. TO MARRY IS TO DECLARE A WAR.
When you marry, you must declare a war against enemies of marriage. Some of the enemies of marriage are: Ignorance, Prayerlessness, Unforgiveness, Adultery, Third Party Influence, Stinginess, Stubbornness, Lack Of Love, Rudeness, Wife battery, Laziness, Divorce etc. Be ready to fight to maintain your marriage zone.

6. THERE IS NO PERFECT MARRIAGE.
There is no ready made marriage anywhere. Marriage is hard work, volunteer yourself and perfect it daily. Marriage is like a CAR with Gear oil, gear box, back hassles and If this parts are not properly maintained, the car will brake down somewhere along the road and exposing the occupant to unhealthy circumstances. - Many of us are careless about our marriage... Are you? If you are, pls pay attention to your marriage.

7. GOD CANNOT GIVE YOU THE COMPLETE PERSON YOU DESIRE.

TEXT: HOSEA 1:1- 2:1

MESSAGE:
God's relationship with Israel is frequently compared to a marriage contract (Jer. 3:14). Israel's departing from the Lord (Hos. 1:2) in order to worship idols was treated by God as spiritual infidelity or prostitution. Hosea's marriage was to be an object lesson for the unfaithful norther Kingdom. Gomer was likely not a pr******te at the time of her marriage, but she would later turn to an adulterous and immoral life which God hates.

"You shall have no other gods before me" (Exo. 20:3). God hates idolatry. "No one can serve two masters, neither you will hate one and love the other nor you will still be devoted to one and despise the other, you cannot serve God and money" (Matt. 6:24).

God demands total allegiance from his people; He hates disloyalty. He looks forward to seeing His people obey Him and in return bless them. "Be it far from me for them that honour me, I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed" (1 Sam. 2:30)

What Does it Mean to be a Christian?

What it means to be a Christian, at least according to culture, has changed over the years. Many people think that going to church occasionally or simply believing in God makes them a Christian. But the Bible presents a different perspective and definition of a Christian.

A Christian is someone whose behavior and heart reflects Jesus Christ.

Followers of Jesus were first called “Christians” in Antioch. Acts 11:26 says, "…for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians first at Antioch." They were called "Christians" because their speech and behavior were like Christ.

What Does it Mean to Behave Like Jesus Christ?

As a Christian, someone who has put faith in trust in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ through His death on the cross and subsequent resurrection, our behavior mirrors, reflects and resembles Christ.

Being gracious and merciful to others is behaving like Christ.

Forgiving, loving and praying for our enemies is Christ-like.

Welcoming and serving the marginalized, the "least" among us, is being like Jesus.

Caring for the sick, needy, underprivileged, widowed, orphaned, poor, abused, and vulnerable—those who are last—mirrors and reflects the Son of Man.

Striving for justice resembles Jesus.

But it’s not simply good works that make someone a Christian. Being a follower and disciple of Jesus extends beyond our outward behavior. It includes the condition of our heart.
