The Economy of Offence
Offence is a state of being insulted, upset, or displeased by something somebody has done or said.
It can become a demonic assignment designed to wound, embitter, and separate believers. Offence often enters through hurt, misunderstanding, unmet expectations, disappointment, and pride. When left unchecked, it becomes a stronghold that slowly destroys the unity of the Church, family, and business relationships.
The danger of offence is that it may begin with something small, but when it is nurtured, it can grow into bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness, division, and ultimately separation.
“A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city.” — Proverbs 18:19
Don't allow offence to become more expensive than the relationship you are trying to preserve. Guard your heart, communicate, forgive, and choose unity.
