Good News Devotional (Tuesday 4th June)

What Jesus came to do.

*Isaiah 42: 7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison...*

Beloved, it is important that we know what the ministry of Jesus is to the world. The reason why many has not come to Jesus is because they are confuse about His ministry because of the way many ministers present Him. That is why it is important that every believer understands what the gospel really is. The gospel is not about Jesus putting people into bo***ge, but setting them free.

The ministry of Jesus to the world is that of mercy and love. The bible says, Jesus has come to open the blind eyes. To be blind can mean several things. It could be on the physical or the spiritual level. Either way, Jesus has come to make you see. To give you insight into the plan and the purpose of God. The next line says, He has come to set the prisoners free. Hey, does it not appear that many ministers of Jesus are doing the opposite of what the father anointed Jesus to do? *Our work as believers is to preach the gospel of Jesus in truth to the world and not put them in bo***ge.*

Confession- Father, I believe that you have sent Jesus to bring me blessings and victory. And that will I preach of Him always in Jesus name.

God rewards with good things.

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him.

Many believers don't even know how God rewards. When evil things happen to them in life they say it is God rewarding them. How can the righteous God reward you with sickness- is that a good reward? When some believers lost a loved one at his prime age, they will say, God took him home- is that also a good reward? The Psalmist says, the Lord is a sun and shield, no good thing will he withold from the upright.

God rewards with good things. The one that places cancer on your loved one is the devil. The one that took your job from you is the devil. If God surely rewards with evil things then I don't want His reward. The devil rewards with evil things. God rewards with good things. Stop listening to religious folks who lie against the character of God. When you know what God gives, then you know what not to receive. Now I know what not to receive.

Confession: I believe God does not reward with evil things. As from now on, I refuse to partake of things that are not of God.

Good News Devotional (Monday 20th November)

You are God's child!

Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Beloved, you are God's child according to the scriptures and not a slave. God is your father. The gospel of Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to humanity. It reveals to us the true personality of God. Many believers see God as a consuming fire rather than see him as a father who loves and cares for them. *Through Jesus, we entered into a relationship with our heavenly father and not a religion.*

Jesus did not come to give us a religion. He came to give you and I relationship with our father. God wants us to see ourselves as his children now that we are in Christ. For any man to be a child of God, such must give his life to Christ by confessing Jesus as his Lord and Saviour. The moment that is done, you receive a new nature and the Holy Spirit dwells in you. This is how a man enters into a living and true relationship with his heavenly father.

Confession- Father I thank you for the new relationship I have with you through your son Jesus Christ. I grow in this grace of sonship in Jesus name.

Tongues, the preferred communication language in heaven.

*1Cor 14:2 For he who makes use of tongues is not talking to men but to God; because no one has the sense of what he is saying; but in the Spirit he is talking of secret things.(BBE)*

Beloved, the gift of tongues is not an option for the believers. This is the very language the Father has endorsed for heavenly transactions. And why is that so? It is the only clean language to communicate with God Zeph 3:9. *When you speak in tongues, a lot of things happen simultaneously around you. It is known as the language of power.* The bible says, for he who uses tongues is not talking to men. The moment you start to speak in tongues, you are not operating from the arena of common people. You are operating at the highest level of the spiritual.

For instance, if you travel to Japan for business, you will need to know how to communicate in their language for effective operation there. Some of the Japanese could even speak in English, but they will prefer you talk to them in their language. *Likewise, God will prefer you talk to Him in tongues. That way, both of you could plan things that the devil doesn't understand.* The bible says, he who speak in tongues is saying secret things.(For more insight on the subject you can get my book- Glossa).

*Confession- I believe speaking in tongues is the most effective way to communicate with my heavenly. I'm a tongue talker.*

Good News Devotional(Tuesday 7th November)

Face every challenge with joy!

James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds...

Are you going through any though situation? Does it seem as if you are the only one the devil is against? Here is a word to help you move on. Jesus never promised a life without challenges. The gospel that promises no problem is vague. Jesus Himself said, in the world you shall see tribulation. Problems are going to come. But, in Christ, you already have the victory. That is why James said, when difficult situation arises in your life, he said, count it all joy.

What a contradiction to the way men would have liked you react. Men would say, you need to fast 100days, or you need to be on the mountain. Put up a sad countenance. But God says- Rejoice. In the midst of the trials-rejoice. Don't allow the situation to weigh down your spirit. Put the word of God in your mouth and decree. Stay in worship. And watch as the troubles vaporise out.

Confession- My faith is in the word of God. I rejoice at all times. No room for sadness in my life in Jesus' name.

God is for you!

Rom 8:31 What shall we say then to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us.

Who can be against you when God is at work in your life? As a believer you need to know the authority you wield in Christ. You need to know that, the devil and his demons are subjected to you. You should live in the consciousness that, greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Be rest assured that nothing can stand against you.

The devil will sure want to raise his ugly head, but you don't have to be afraid of him. Just command him to go where he belongs. Where he belongs is under your feet. know that no weapon formed against you can prosper. You are covered by the precious blood of Jesus. You are marked for success. Go out with boldness today and take that which belongs to you.

Confession- No weapon fashioned against me can stand because the Lord is with me.

Good News Devotional (Thursday 26th October)

Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent?

How the gospel will spread round the world is the primary responsibility of all believers. The moment we stepped into the kingdom of God and of His Christ, we become partners with the Lord Jesus Christ. Many of us pray that the gospel should spread to the world but we don't put our prayers to faith by giving. The above scripture says, how shall they go except they be sent. If we want the gospel to spread and continue we must support our local assembly.

The local church is the hope of the world. We must then do everything possible to see the church where we know Jesus is flourish. God spoke through His prophets and commanded His people to bring their tithes and offerings into His house that their might be resources. We must labour to see the work of God prosper. God is counting on us to see His church flourish on earth.

Confession- I will labour to support the gospel of Jesus through my local assembly. I will be a generous giver to my Father's business.
