The root of all diseases of the heart is our love and attachment to this materialistic world. We know this world is temporary, yet we find it so hard to disengage from it. May the Almighty guide our hearts into desiring what is lasting - the Hereafter.
Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

I have long stopped saying ‘it is well’ to people in
need! Those words don’t sound pleasant to my
ears anymore!
It is heart aching that we Christians abuse it!
‘It is well’ now covers up our stingy attitudes and
wraps our wicked heart from being visible to the
world!
We use it to refrain from rendering assistance to
someone and then we pretend like we care!
Someone close is dying of hunger and suffering
in pains, and we find it so hard to extend a cup
of water to him/her, to divide our loaf of bread
into two, and to pour out some grains of rice
from the kitchen to give him/her!
But because she is our ‘sister in Christ’, he is our
‘brother in Christ’; the only thing we offer is “it is
well my sister/brother.”
How is that going to dry up the tears snaking
down her cheeks? How will that
prevent him from dying in poverty?
If you think that ‘it is well’ is better than helping
in the little way you can, then you should never
go close to people who are suffering!
Live your so called Christian life in your bedroom
and swallow your ‘it is well’ back to your
intestines! It has nothing to change!
