WORD FOR TODAY
Friday 7th November, 2025
2 Timothy 4:7 (NLT)
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful."
The words of Apostle Paul in this passage are not just a reflection of his life but a testimony of victory in faith. He was nearing the end of his earthly journey, yet his heart was full of peace and confidence because he had fulfilled God’s purpose for his life.
1. “I Have Fought the Good Fight” — The Battle of Faith
Paul reminds us that the Christian journey is not a playground but a battlefield. Every believer faces trials, temptations, and oppositions — both spiritual and physical.
But notice he said “the good fight” — because it’s a fight worth fighting. It’s the battle to keep faith alive, to stand for righteousness when the world turns away, and to love God even when it’s costly.
Stay strong! Don’t give up in the face of trials — God is your strength in every battle.
2. “I Have Finished the Race” — The Journey of Purpose
Life is a race, and every believer has a lane marked by God. Paul didn’t just start well; he finished well. Many begin with zeal but lose focus along the way.
Finishing the race means staying consistent, pressing on through pain, and keeping your eyes on Jesus — the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
You are not called to compete with others, but to complete your God-given assignment.
3. “I Have Remained Faithful” — The Crown of Endurance
Faithfulness is what heaven rewards. Paul endured persecution, rejection, and hardship, yet he remained loyal to Christ.
In the end, it’s not how loud your ministry was, or how much you achieved — but how faithful you were to God’s will.
Child of God, there is a crown waiting for those who endure to the end (2 Timothy 4:8). Keep fighting, keep running, and keep believing.
Let your goal be to one day stand before the Lord and hear Him say,
“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Pray this prayer
Lord, help me to fight the good fight, to finish my race with joy, and to remain faithful to You until the end. Amen.
Have a beautiful Friday in Jesus
