If you judge your life by something negative that is happening today, you may feel as though GOD has forgotten about you and get discouraged. But the Scripture says that GOD is transforming you from glory to glory, that the path of the righteous gets brighter and brighter. That means He already has a solution to the problem that’s holding you back. He’s already arranged restoration for that loss, a new beginning for that setback, promotion for that injustice. It’s already on the schedule. It’s just a matter of time before you see the light break through to full day. When the lies come saying, “GOD has forgotten about you. It’s never going to work out. You’ve seen your best days,” just say, “No, thanks. This situation may be difficult, it’s not fair, but I know that this is not how my story ends. Favour is in my future, good breaks are headed my way, the right people are tracking me down. GOD is going to bring me out better, transformed, promoted, healthier, and to new levels of my destiny.”

Father, thank You that my name is written on Your hands and that it’s impossible for You to forget me. Thank You for the promise that You are transforming me from glory to glory and making my path brighter and brighter. EXTRA-MILE BLESSINGS*⚓️

In the New Testament times, the Roman government could compel anyone into its service to carry a load as far as a mile. *JESUS* was saying to go beyond obligations to others and exceed all expectations with expressions of love and service.

There are times when GOD asks us to do things that are hard, things that don’t make sense. It might be to give something to others when we need it more than them. Perhaps it’s to take a step of faith when we don’t have the experience or to forgive someone who doesn’t deserve it. Everything in our logic says, “This isn’t right. It’s not fair.” GOD is asking you to go the extra mile. When you obey, there’s a blessing that follows. If you’re going to see extra-mile blessings, you have to have extra-mile obedience. When you do the hard thing that GOD’s asking you to do, it’s not because GOD’s trying to make your life miserable. It’s because He has something awesome coming your way. He’s setting you up for promotion, divine connections, favor that you’ve never seen.

Father, thank You for the opportunities You bring my way to serve others. Thank You that *JESUS* came not to be served but to serve others and give His life as a ransom for many. Have you ever noticed that you often face your greatest attacks when you’re about to give birth to the dreams GOD placed in your heart? The enemy waits until you’re close to the promotion, close to the breakthrough. He’ll strike when you’re just about to step up to a new level. Don’t be surprised if you face opposition or go through a disappointment. Perhaps a friend whom you were counting on is not there. Or, it’s taking longer than you expected. That simply means you’re about to give birth to what GOD has placed in your heart. The good news is, the forces that are for you are greater than the forces that are against you. Your destiny cannot be stopped by a bad break, by disappointments, by opposition or by other people. GOD always causes you to triumph. He says, “No weapon formed against you will ever prosper.”

When King Saul saw David take down Goliath with only a slingshot and stone, he stood there in disbelief. How could David fight like a warrior and where did he learn to speak so powerfully against a giant? Where did he get the heroic courage, the leadership, the training? In 1 Samuel 17, when Saul met with David, he asked, "Who is your father?" Saul was perplexed that David's father could be an ordinary shepherd, not realizing that our greatness, the hero in us, doesn't come from our natural father.

Here's the key: You come through your father, but you come from Almighty GOD. He formed you in your mother's womb and knows how to cause the gifts He put in you to come out, how to make you shine. Your time is coming. You're going to accomplish dreams bigger than others imagine. People are going to wonder, "How could you get a college degree, start that business, or lead that company in sales?" What you're going to accomplish is not going to match where you've come from.

Father, thank You that You are not just good, but You are my great Father. Thank You for every good gift that You put in me and for how You are going to cause me to shine. Anytime we try to move forward, thoughts will come telling us what we can’t do, how the problem is too big. We know what GOD promised, we believe it in our heart, but the enemy comes like a roaring lion, bombarding our mind with doubts. The purpose of a lion’s roar is to intimidate any opponent, to strike fear and terror, so much so that it will paralyze the other animal and get it to back down.

In the same way, our enemy loves to roar in our thoughts. “You’ll never get well. You’ll never break the addiction. You don’t have any talent.” How you handle the roar will determine whether or not you reach your destiny. If you believe the lies and let the fear take root, it will keep you from seeing the promise. You have to learn to ignore the roar. He goes about “like” a roaring lion - he’s not a lion, and he doesn’t have any power over you. The only power he has is the power you give him by believing the roar.

Father, thank You that when the enemy is roaring, bombarding my thoughts with doubts and fears, that I can resist him, firm in the faith. Thank You that he does not have any power over me. In 1 Kings 18, four hundred and fifty prophets of the god Baal came against the one prophet Elijah in a challenge to prove to the entire nation of Israel who GOD was through a demonstration of power. After the prophets of Baal had failed, Elijah prayed the words of today's Scripture, and GOD answered with an awesome display of fire from heaven. There was no question as to whether it was the hand of the true GOD.

Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you feel outnumbered. The sickness seems bigger, the opposition stronger, or the addiction too powerful. It's easy to get discouraged and shrink back. But you have to do as Elijah did and not be intimidated by what's against you. The battle is not yours; the battle is the LORD’s. He allowed that situation so He can display His awesome power through you. Ask big, and GOD will show out big. He's a supernatural GOD. Everyone will see His hand on your life by what He does.

Father, thank You that You want to do great things in my life so that others will see and know that You are GOD. Thank You that the battles are not mine but Yours. I believe that You're about to make things happen that I could never make happen, and in amazing ways. In *JESUS*' Name, Amen.

Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the *LORD* reward him according to his works.

*TODAY’S WORD*🍞
While we don’t know what wrongs Alexander did to the apostle Paul, it’s interesting that what seems like a small detail would be left in the Scripture. GOD had it recorded so we would know how to respond when we go through something that’s unfair, when we’ve been wronged, when people take advantage of us. If you don’t understand that GOD will settle your accounts, you’ll get frustrated, try to get revenge, and manipulate things. Paul understood that you have to let GOD do the payback and settle your accounts. You have to trust Him when it’s not fair, keep honoring Him, knowing that justice will eventually be served.

Don’t have a victim mentality. Quit losing sleep over what someone did. Don’t give it any more time or attention. Instead of focusing on who did you wrong, what you didn’t get, how unfair something was, keep moving forward, being your best right where you are. Start thanking GOD, knowing that He sees what’s happened and will settle your account and right the wrongs.

Father, thank You that You see everything that has happened to me, every unfair thing, including the Alexanders in my life. Thank You that I can let go of the wrongs and forgive quickly before frustration sets in. I declare that You will right the wrongs. In *JESUS*’ Name, Amen.
