GOD WILL NOT CHOOSE FOR YOU

Scripture:
Psalm 25:12 KJV
"What man is he that feareth the LORD? Him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose".

Message:
It is important that you understand the way God operates. In life, you will get to various junctions where you will need to make choices and decisions. I need to let you know that, God will not choose for you at those junctions, He will only show you the way to choose or what to choose. The responsibility to take the final decision and choice rests on you.

God does not choose for people, He will only teach you how to choose. As you grow day by day, God will make sure that He is sending your way messages, teachings, books, materials and things you will need to know that are relevant to your decision making in the future. God is teaching you the way to choose as you read this devotional daily.

When you get to a junction in life where you need to make a decision, go to God in prayer and ask Him what is His take on the matter, ask Him, "Lord, what step should I take? What would you have me do? The scriptures says in Prov. 3:5-6 (KJV), "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; And lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, And he shall direct thy paths". When you go to God to ask for what step(s) to take, you are acknowledging Him and He will never allow you to be confused or stranded.

Stop leaning on your understanding, 99% of the time, your natural understanding is not deep enough to identify the will of God. It will take the Holy Spirit to reveal it to you. Stop taking rash and desperate decisions, wait on God and find out what His plan for your life is. Only God, the one that made you, that made the heavens and the earth knows what your future looks like, and the best and easiest way to get there.

Things to note:
(1) In life, you will get to various junctions where you will need to make choices and decisions. LIFE IS A SEED

Scripture:
Luke 6:31 KJV
"And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise".

Message:
I want you to know that life is a seed. Whatever you do for others will automatically come back to you if you don't stop, ask God for forgiveness and change. This universe, is a university. It is a learning centre, people who refuse to learn from the manual of life (the scriptures), will learn the hard way.

Anything you don't want people to do to you, please don't do it to others. Your words, actions, reactions, behaviour, character is a seed, if you refuse to stop and change for the better, you will reap it back in many folds. Whatever you do or that you have been doing is a seed, whether it is negative or positive. Living is seeding.

It is impossible to plant corn and reap pineapples, what you are doing today is a seed of what you should expect to happen to you in the future. Once you are aware that you are wrong, repent and change your ways, mercy can then intervene in your future. It is important that you are deliberate about your life and how you live.

You are the one that will begin today, the process of whatever you want to see in your life tomorrow. The Amplified translation of our anchor scripture says, "Treat others the same way you want them to treat you". What do you want to see happen for you tomorrow, begin to do the same to people, so that your harvest will be massive in the future.

Things to note:
(1) Anything you don't want people to do to you, please don't do it to others. Your words, actions, reactions, behaviour, character is a seed, if you refuse to stop and change for the better, you will reap it back in many folds.

(2) You are the one that will begin today, the process of whatever you want to see in your life tomorrow.

Prayer.
Father help me to deliberately plant the right seeds in life, in Jesus name.

VALUE BOTH THE VESSEL & VIRTUE

Scripture:
Luke 5:1 KJV
"And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,".

Message:
The multitudes pressed upon Jesus to hear the word at the lake of Gennesaret. Pressing or pressure on Jesus like this is a sign of value for what Jesus carried. Until there is a pressing or pressure on the virtue that God has placed around you, there will not be a release of virtue towards you. Everywhere people press this way, it is because of value and something tangible must follow.

The woman with the issue of blood pressed like this because she valued the virtue and the vessel and she got what she wanted. A major key that makes people press for the virtue or anointing is value. What you don't value will not come in your direction, you consciously or unconsciously drive away whatever you don't value. If you are not seeing certain results, one of the areas you should check is how you value the vessel that God has placed around you.

The scriptures says in Luke 6:19 (KJV) "And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all". The virtue was so valued to the point they sought Him and all of them were healed. There is no perfect vessel, what is available is a perfect virtue. The best of men are still men in their very best. The healing of the people did not depend on God alone, a percentage depended on how they valued the vessel and virtue placed around them.

Value, honour, respect etc provokes your actions towards the vessel for the virtue. Everytime the virtue sees value, honour and respect, it does not many times need the permission of the vessel to begin to work miracles, signs and wonders. If you don't believe or value a vessel, please stay away from them, because it is dangerous to your destiny. The grace to see beyond just the vessel, so that you can value the virtue is released on you now in Jesus name.

Things to note:
(1) There is no perfect vessel, what is available is a perfect virtue. The best of men are still men in their very best.

(2) Everytime the virtue sees value, honour and respect, it does not many times need the permission of the vessel to begin to work miracles, signs and wonders.

Prayer.
Father i ask for great grace to value the vessels and virtue that you send and place around my life, in Jesus name.

PRESSING TO KNOW GODS WILL

Scripture:
Luke 5:1 KJV
"And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret,".

Message:
We have been talking about the will of God. The first thing to note is "the will of God exists". There is the good, acceptable and perfect will of God. This is why the scriptures says in Romans 12:2 (KJV), that "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God". The good will of God is good but it is not perfect. The acceptable will of God is also called permissive will of God.

It is not the best for you to be in a permissive will, that is not God's best for you. One of the greatest benefit of the perfect will of God is that, it positions you in the centre of Gods will. That is the best place for your destiny, where the light of heaven is centred on you, it is the place of peace and prosperity, where you are protected and preserved. The centre of Gods will is the place where your relevance is most impactful.

The people you are ordained to impact, help and bless will feel your impact as you remain deliberately positioned in the centre of His will for your life. But the will of God cannot be discovered on the surface, you must press for it. From our anchor scripture, they pressed to hear the word, they pressed to hear what God had in mind, what God had to say, they pressed to know the word of God.

The word of God is the will of God, that was what they were after. As they pressed to hear, he stood. If you want to know the will of God for your life, you must press. As you press, it catches Gods attention and makes Him to stand to attend to you. Press through time in the word, press in fasting, prayers, worship etc. Precious things are not found on the surface in life, they are always in the deep. It takes pressing to discover God's original plan for your life.

WHEN YOU REJECT GODS WILL

Scripture:
Joshua 24:15 KJV
"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD".

Message:
We said yesterday that, The will of God is the uttermost that will help you to get to the greatest height that God has ordained for you on earth. The will of man is myopic, it is limited in impact, result and lifespan. The will of the devil begins when man is in disobedience to the will of God. God wants you to do His will, but He will never overrule your will to enforce His own.

We also said that, as powerful as the will of God is, your will can water it down and make it irrelevant. The will of man can override the will of God if you allow it. God respects our will and does not want to tamper with it except man submits it willingly. If you don't want His will, He will leave you to your will and bring in another person to fulfil that purpose. God will not change His plan, He will rather change the man.

Few results of rejecting the will of God:
i. God will pick another person to fulfil that role. He told Elijah that He has reserved 7000 for Himself. There is always a reserve when it comes to God, He will never be stranded.

ii. The person concerned will become irrelevant in respect to Gods plan. God wants to pass through us to reach people, but when you say no, He has no choice but to let you be. Esau lost out and became irrelevant. Instead of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Esau, what we have today is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Your greatest relevance on earth is attached to how accurately you position yourself in the will of God. That is where the stage light of heaven will beam on you.

iii. Lack of peace.
Your greatest peace will be found in the centre of the will of God. God leads in the path of peace. There is no peace to the wicked. And once a person does not have peace, longevity is not in view.

Things to note:
(1) Your greatest relevance on earth is attached to how accurately you position yourself in the will of God. That is where the stage light of heaven will beam on you.

(2) Your greatest peace will be found in the centre of the will of God. God leads in the path of peace.

Father position me and keep me in the centre of your perfect will, in Jesus name.

THE POWER OF THE WILL

Scripture:
Joshua 24:15 KJV

Message:
The soul is made up of the will, mind and emotions. When we are talking about "the will", there is, the will of God, the will of man, and the will of the devil. The will of God is the uttermost that will help you to get to the greatest height that God has ordained for you. The will of man is myopic, it is limited in impact, result and lifespan. The will of the devil begins when man is in disobedience to the will of God.

God wants you to do His will, but He will never overrule your will to enforce His own. God wants us to know His will deliberately and to accept to follow it willingly. It is Satan that tries to enforce His will on people. God wants you to be aware of His will and willingly accept it. This is why God has not forced every human being to make them born again even though He can but He will not. One of the greatest privileges God gave man is the power of the choice.

God gave everyone the choice to decide to be saved or not. Once in a while, through God's act of great mercy, He can break a person's will through allowing a series of negative events, so that such a person can discover His will and accept it. You will be surprised that, though the will of God is powerful, your will can overrule and override it. As powerful as the will of God is, your will can water it down and make it irrelevant.

If you don't want His will, He will leave you to your will and bring in another person to fulfil that purpose. God will not change His plan, He will rather change the man. This is so because, His plan must be fulfilled. God will not force you to do His will, and He will never be stranded of a person to use. The funniest part of this is that, God's replacements always comes out better than the initial candidates. You will not miss divine agenda in Jesus name.

Things to note:
(1) Though the will of God is powerful, your will can overrule and override it.

(2) God will not change His plan, He will rather change the man. This is so because, His plan must be fulfilled.

Father help me to be positioned and to remain in the centre of your perfect will, in Jesus name.

SCRIPTURAL CULTURES

Scripture:
Luke 4:16 KJV
"And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read".

Message:
There are certain customs, traditions, behaviours and cultures that are scriptural. Although, there are also many cultural things that are not scriptural, such usually makes the word of God of none effect. Negative cultures, traditions, mindset etc, water down the word of God and make it appear ineffective. But there are certain cultures that are scriptural, one of it is going to church on the sabbath day.

It is true that you can decide to stay at home on a Sunday morning and follow the service online, but it will never be the same as being part of the service. Imagine, the films you like watching, your experience will be different if you are physically in the location where they are making the film. Jesus went to the synagogue habitually as a custom and lifestyle.

The Goodnews translation says in Luke 4:16 (GNT), "Then Jesus went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath he went as usual to the synagogue. He stood up to read the Scriptures". He went as usual to the synagogue, that was His lifstyle. There are things God will do when you are alone with Him and there other things you will never see if you do not associate with other believers.

There is an escalation of grace, a cooperate anointing, when we are in fellowship with other brethren. The word of God says, "not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching" Heb. 10v25 (KJV). This simply tells believers not to stop meeting together. Instead, they should encourage one another, especially as the return of Christ draws near.

Things to note:
(1) Negative cultures, traditions, mindset etc, water down the word of God and make it appear ineffective.

PUT UR STRENGTH UNDER CONTROL

Scripture:
Numbers 12:3 KJV
(Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.)

Message:
One of the greatest quality that Moses had was Meekness. Meekness is one of the fruits of the spirit as listed in Galatians 5v22-23, it is the nature and character of God. I learnt that, in the Hebrews culture, meekness (anav) denotes "supreme humility, gentleness, and power under God's control rather than weakness or passivity".

"Meekness" is a more stronger word for humility. Meekness is not weakness, it is simply putting your strengths under control. Don't use your areas of strength to oppress people, don't use your areas of strength to taunt people, put it under control. Refuse to allow your area of strength to become a challenge to others. The strength you refuse to manage properly can damage you.

If anything, the best you can do with your strength and areas of strength is to use it to enhance the life of others. You will easily enjoy the grace for humility and meekness when you master the art of using your strength and areas of strength to strengthen the weakness of others who are week in that area.

It is Pride and people with an unhealthy self esteem who use their strength and areas of strength as a weapon against others. There are things that are not from the spirit of Christ (love), such things emanate from the spirit of error. Moses was the meekest man on earth, no wonder God lifted and honoured him so high. Grace for humility and meekness is released to you now in Jesus name.

Things to note:
(1) Meekness is not weakness, it is simply putting your strength under control.

(2) It is Pride and people with an unhealthy self esteem, who use their strength and areas of strength as a weapon against others.

Prayer.
Father i recieve the grace to put my strength under control and manage them properly, in Jesus name.
