Spiritual fruits are the evidence of a transformed life—a person who is in genuine relationship with God and is daily being shaped by the Holy Spirit. These fruits impact others positively and reflect God's character.

Religious Nuts: It refers to people who may be: Overzealous about religion, but lack love, grace, and wisdom

However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; He will tell you things to come. John 16:13

Our Lord Jesus promised that when the Holy Spirit comes, He would lead us. How would the Holy Spirit lead us? Christ said the Holy Spirit would lead us by speaking to us. He would show us by telling us things to come. That is a privilege afforded to every child of God.

When discussing being led by the spirit, many people reduce it to speaking in tongues. It is possible to live in sin and still speak in tongues. To be led by the Spirit, we must be controlled by the Spirit. It is not an event. It is not something that happens once in our lives. It is a daily walk with God. It is a daily surrender. It is living through His help.

As we continue our Bible study journey, we turn to the book of Mark, which presents Jesus as the Son of God through His actions, miracles, and teachings.

1. Jesus – The Son of God in Action

Unlike Matthew, which focuses on Jesus’ teachings, Mark emphasizes His works, showing His divine power through miracles (Mark 1:1).
Lesson: Jesus’ life demonstrates that true faith is revealed not just in words but in action.

2. The Call to Follow Jesus

Jesus called Simon, Andrew, James, and John to be His disciples, saying, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Mark 1:17).
Lesson: Discipleship requires leaving worldly pursuits to follow God’s calling.

3. Jesus’ Devotion to Prayer

Even after long days of ministry, Jesus woke up early to pray (Mark 1:35).
Lesson: A strong relationship with God requires intentional time in prayer.

4. The Power of Faith and Intercession

When four men brought a paralyzed man to Jesus, He healed him because of their faith (Mark 2:5).
Lesson: Our faith can bring healing and breakthrough not just for us, but for others.

5. The Danger of Tradition Over God’s Word

Jesus confronted the Pharisees for holding onto human traditions instead of God’s commandments (Mark 7:8).
Lesson: Religious rituals are meaningless if they do not align with God’s truth.

6. True Discipleship – Learning and Following

Jesus said, “Follow me,” showing that discipleship is a continuous journey of learning and obedience (Mark 1:17).
Lesson: We must not only learn from Jesus but also live out His teachings daily.

7. The Great Commission – Preaching and Discipleship

Jesus commanded His followers to “Go into all the world and preach the gospel” (Mark 16:15).
Lesson: Evangelism and discipleship go hand in hand; we are called to spread the gospel and build God’s kingdom.

Mark teaches that Jesus’ ministry was marked by action, prayer, and sacrifice. True discipleship is about following Him wholeheartedly and fulfilling His mission.

Day37, Mathew Part 2.

1. The Kingdom of Heaven vs. the Old Covenant

Matthew emphasizes that Jesus came to establish a heavenly kingdom, unlike the earthly focus of the old covenant. He calls us to set our minds on things above, not earthly concerns (Colossians 3:2).
Lesson: True Christianity is about transformation, not just external religious observance.

2. The Call to True Righteousness

Jesus raises the standard beyond external obedience to the law, addressing the heart. While the old covenant said not to murder, Jesus says not to harbor anger (Matthew 5:21-22).
Lesson: Holiness starts in the heart, not just in actions.

3. John the Baptist – A Warning Against Doubt

Though John witnessed Jesus’ baptism and the voice from heaven, he later doubted when imprisoned (Matthew 11:2-3). Jesus reassured him but highlighted the difference between old and new covenant faith.
Lesson: Trials test our faith, but true faith trusts God’s wisdom even in suffering.

4. The Necessity of Spiritual Violence

Jesus says the kingdom of heaven is taken by force (Matthew 11:12). This refers to aggressively fighting against sin, self, and worldly distractions.
Lesson: Entering God’s kingdom requires determination and rejecting anything that hinders us.

5. Looking to Jesus, Not Old Testament Failures

Many believers justify sin by pointing to Old Testament figures who failed. But Jesus, not Moses or David, is our true example (Hebrews 12:2).
Lesson: The new covenant calls us to follow Christ’s perfect example, not excuses for sin.

6. True Rest in Christ

Jesus offers rest to those weary of striving in their own strength (Matthew 11:28-30).
Lesson: Rest comes from trusting Jesus fully, not from religious effort.

7. The Great Commission – Making Disciples

Jesus commands us to make disciples, baptizing and teaching them to obey all His commands (Matthew 28:18-20).
Lesson: Christianity is about discipleship—learning and obeying Jesus, not just religious affiliation.

Matthew teaches that Jesus calls us to a higher standard of righteousness, a heart-centered faith, and a kingdom-focused life.
