*MEMORY VERSE:* *“For a small moment have I forsaken you, but with great mercies will I gather you".- ISAIAH 54:7*
*INTRODUCTION*
Most time, the only thing that keeps us going above the challenges of life is the mercies of GOD. The only thing that makes one escapes destruction is the mercies of GOD. Lam. 3:20-25.
Mercy can be described as the prerogative of the Almighty GOD to show divine partiality in favour of any person. Rom. 9:15-16. When mercy speaks, protocols are broken, natural and biological laws are suspended, the unusual becomes usual, the unexpected happens and miracles/testimonies are birthed. 1 Sam. 2:1-5 compared with Gen. 21;1-6.
Meanwhile, another word for mercy is compassion which is the basis of all the miracles performed by Jesus Christ. Matt. 14:14. Other things may not qualify you, but when mercy speaks, you are over qualified. Mk. 20:47.
*OUTLINE*
Examples of those who enjoyed GOD'S prerogative mercies.
They include but not limited to the under-listed fellows in the Bible.
(i) Moses. From his birth to his upbringing in Pharaoh's palace, a fugitive turned deliverer and saviour etc. they are all functions of divine mercies that is unequalled and unparalleled.
(ii) Joseph. From his childhood when his father made for him coat of many colours, to his dreams and persecutions by his own brothers, his ordeal in the house of Portiphar, his imprisonment and eventual fulfilment of his age-long dreams - great mercies all the way. Gen. 45:4 & Gen. 50:19-20.
(iii) David. He was brought from behind as shepherd boy to be anointed King over Israel at the age of 17 years but faced lots of tribulations and persecutions from the incumbent King, however, GOD kept him by divine mercies till he was enthroned at
