*Topic:Welding the scepter of authority in a fallen world*
Bible reference: 1kings17vs1
As believers we all know that we're in a fallen world, a world under the control of the evil one which is the devil and is cohorts(1John5vs19).
If then the world we live in his resting on wickedness, then we need a system of advantage in this brutal and fallen world.
So God in his manifold wisdom has prepared an advantage point of us his children in Christ Jesus.
What is this advantage point??? The advantage point is welding the scepter of authority.
Authority is our advantage point in this fallen world, the world will only recognise and submit to the Lordship of our God and his Christ, when we as God children start operating from the realms of authority.
Authority is not just for you to rule, but authority is for you to rule, reign, have Dominion, i.e dominate, and be in charge that's to be in control of things , situations, places and entities ( either spirit or human entities),( Luke 9vs1).
*How then can you weld the scepter of authority as child of God*
The only you can posses and weld the scepter of authority is standing before the Lord.
The only way you and I can exercise authority on this Earth is by standing daily and continuously before the presence of God, standing before the Lord.
Biblical examples of patriach who stood before the Lord God of the heavens and the earth and weld the scepter of authority on the earth.
1) Moses: welded the scepter of authority in Egypt and when he commanded that the earth should open and swallow God's enemies (Exodus 12vs31-33; Numbers 16vs1-35).
2) Elijah: he also welded the scepter of authority by closing the heavens not to give rain for 3 and half years (1kings17vs1; James5vs17-18).
3) Paul that apostle: welded the scepter of authority by commanding the eyes of (Elymas the sorcerer to go blind for a season when he wanted to mislead the country deputy from accepting the gospel of Christ (acts13vs6-12).
Lastly Jesus Christ welded the scepter of authority by performing diverse kinds of miracles, signs and wonders.
So beloved, if you and I are really intentional about taking this world for Christ, then welding the scepter of authority is non-negotiable.
And we can only weld this scepter of authority when you and I are intentional about standing daily and continuously before the Lord presence.
Starting from tommorow,I will be sharing with you about standing before the Lord, all it entails and how we can stand before the Lord in Strategic areas of our lives.
Kindly mediate on this message.
God bless you.
